I remember a Thai student buying a TV for a Vietnamese student in the UK. She worked for me in the bar part time at weekends. She had made it clear to him she wasn't interested in men. He said ' Just friends ' was fine. Well, he tried everything, meals, Movies, sightseeing, the whole lot but she still wasn't having any of it apart from accepting the freebies. Once he realized it was a ' dead duck ' he went and took the TV back. True story!

Charity shop in Pattaya area for clothes to donate
Scouse123 replied to raybarrell's topic in Pattaya
In Isaarn put them on a table outside at the bottom of your drive or outside your house entrance. Then go do your shopping. When you come back take the empty table back inside!???? -
I've been a landlord in Thailand too, I still am in the UK. I have had damage, the only thing I did was withhold the deposit paid to cover it. I will add that in Thailand I had photographs taken when the tenant moved in. I had them printed on to A4 and made the tenant sign and date that they were correct and a true reflection of the state of the premises. I learnt this one after being ' bitten before ' by a previous tenant.

What a weird question to ask.

That is a complete untruth. British pubs are far less violent these days than they ever were way back when. Depends what type of pubs you choose to frequent I suppose.

Don't smile too much as it is the same here as in the West, they will think you are retarded!

If the OP says the landlord was going to take the 2 months deposit anyway, this leads me to believe a conversation regarding the condition of the condo has already taken place between the landlord and the OP and the landlord has expressed dissatisfaction. Either that, or as is usual on this board, the OP is being selective in what he is telling us here, to get a favorable response. As a rule the deposit is basically a guarantee for utilities being paid and the condo being returned in good condition or the deposit is used to make good any repairs. Unless the damage is severe, and if it was the tenant wouldn't have moved in in the first place, the landlord is bluffing about immigration involvement.

Your thread has certainly baffled me. You are comparing retirees to foreign crime? Nonsense! or is it just because they are ' foreign ' you draw this comparison? Also, you are comparing vastly different economies and putting them altogether like a scrambled jigsaw with the pieces not fitting. You do not mention the inequality with Thais married to British nationals being allowed to work, settle, open businesses freely , buy land and houses in their own name in the UK? How does that compare with a British guy married to a Thai women in Thailand with the reporting to immigration and money in the bank etc and no land rights or property rights? Isaarn would still be in the stone-age but for a very significant amount of foreigners buying houses, building houses, buying cars and definitely putting a positive impact into the economy. They certainly haven't been scrounging from the Thai state as there is nothing for them to scrounge. Why should a Brit or Aussie need to have 150K income to stay in Thailand when for many 50/60K will suffice? Many foreigners live comfortably on this and the average Police major is only around 25K a month and I think that is similar to a doctor in government hospitals. And if things are going to be made ' reciprocal ' then that should apply to us having land and property rights and not having to say where we are every 90 days, because Thais bloody don't in the UK. I think you are talking apples and oranges and being very selective in your comparisons. I can't see the retirement O extensions moving much at all, maybe it will on health insurance, considering the rebound in the economy is nowhere near what TAT would like everybody to believe.

I wouldn't have even noticed and gone ahead and ordered my coffee oblivious to the graffiti poster. I wouldn't have noticed unless it was specifically pointed out to me. I also don't understand what the connection is to coffee?, but that's probably me being old fashioned. I don't sit and read or actually look at graffiti in the UK underground or subways or anywhere else to be honest. A Banksy mural would just be wasted on me!

For all the board sarcasm, witticisms and levity, this is no laughing matter especially for that group of tourists. It seems certain groups are getting ' WAY OUT OF CONTROL ' down in Pattaya. This needs stamping on and firmly right now by authorities. It seems certain groups of young men from a certain region think ' anything goes ' in Pattaya. For the jokers here, I bet you are well happy to be posting here and not having a gun pointed at your head. And those silly pillocks in Bangkok want to call this place a family resort for high quality tourists!

Illegal Alcohol Promotion Detected in Roi Et Establishments

As it should be. Nobody puts a funnel in your mouth and forces you to drink. Treat people like adults. This junta tries to control everything in everyday life in Thailand. Leave the people be. They wonder why adults behave so immaturely, its because every waking moment they are treated like schoolkids. Are they not content with robbing the country blind, they have to put on some fake ' air of concern for the wellbeing of its citizens ' -
And does HomePro deliver and fit them as well, because that is what he seems to be asking.

There are good and bad areas in every town and country, most of us know with a little research where to, and where not to go. Did you purposely seek this area out? There are those down on their luck, there are those who didn't plan retirement properly, there are drunks. It's a large city in South East Asia, and along with that goes the good, the bad and the ugly. You sound like a silly old man who walks around tut tutting at people that YOU BELIEVE do not reach your exacting standards of how a person is to live and conduct themselves. Live and let live. When I am in the UK, I do not go into Wetherspoons establishments early because I know at 9am in the morning it will be busy with alcoholics, those on benefits, and the lame and lazy, it is known for being that, so we avoid it.

what is it about an abandoned BMW I just do not get why you are so interested in an abandoned vehicle? Is it a fetish or are you just truly bored with your life.

The first time you give something to somebody you create appreciation. The second time you give something to somebody you create anticipation. The third time you give something to somebody you create expectation. The fourth time you give something to somebody you create entitlement The fifth time you give something to somebody you create dependency. By the sixth time if you don't give something then you have created resentment and hatred.

The Cambodians speak nothing but look at the Thai way of Buddhism with bemusement. The same applies to the constant wai-ing.

Analysis The chance of Trump winning another term is very real
Scouse123 replied to Social Media's topic in World News
I seem to recall it was Putin who started a war not the Democrats of the USA. I also seem to recall it was a Republican president that ordered both the invasion of Iraq and Afghanistan. The US Economy was well on track when Trump entered office after Barack Obama. Mind you, if you are a Trump supporter I don't doubt you follow his mantra. "Never let the truth get in the way of a good story " How can you even suggest that Trump is fit for high office, I think he needs checking out by health professionals as there is something seriously wrong with him apart from his narcissism, the man cannot tell the truth, and he actually believes his own bull$hit -

He is trying to remain relevant, it is something that all narcissists feel they must do. If your count is correct, then August 10th you won't need a calculator to know it's 11 times and more! He ain't coming back. -
