The worst thing I have eaten was in Cambo a few years ago.
Fertilised duck egg. Just crack the top open as with a normal hard boiled egg but inside is a soft little duckling with feathers, beak etc.
Had a taste and couldn't eat any more...

This is a real shame to read. When I last properly travelled Cambodia (some 7 or 8 years ago) I was amazed by the friendliness and honesty of the people I met many of whom were quite clearly were living in pretty harsh conditions. I sensed a real sense of national pride and welcoming and did not encounter any scams or blatant double or even triple pricing.
I suppose once it is realised how easy it is to milk tourists for an exra buck or 2 it just becomes past of the systems mindset to do so...

At least in Thailand everyone gets a chance, even the poor. In the west you need to already be rich and powerful to get into the club.quote]

I think I might just go for TRUE. The 512k is 750B/M with free installation and router.
You can go for their wirless package as well which is an additional 250Baht/month and includes a router (borrowed) and free access to all TRUE hot-spots.
Sounds ok to me...

So CAT is pretty bad then yeah?
What about Buddy, I have seen loads of adverts on the skytrain for it. Any experience with them?
-
Yeah, thats probably the easiest option.
But I have heard that True is pretty unreliable and doesn't offer the speeds that it advertises. Can anyone confirm this?

Hello everyone,
I have just moved to a new condo and I would like to get (wireless) internet installed in my room (I believe the building has True telephone lines already connected)
Bare in mind that I am useless when it comes to computers (except for playing games on my PS )
I don't want to spend too much on it, hopefully around 500-800 baht a month-ish.
What is the best service provider for this price range in BKK? in respect of cost, value for money, speed service, reliability etc. etc.
Also I believe that in order to make my connection wireless I will need to buy a "wireless router". Can I buy this myself and install it myself? If not, is there an extra monthly fee to have it wireless?
Any advice would be most welcome.
By the way I live on Sukhumvit Road in Bangkok (If that makes a difference...)

How is this survey scientific?
I think it's a tongue in cheek sort of "scientific study".
Not to be taken too seriously IMHO.
