Kennedy Moves to Eliminate Petroleum-Based Food Dyes from American Diet
candide replied to Social Media's topic in World News
Actually, banning carbohydrate completely is not recommended as the body needs energy. The ideal meal composition is 1/4 carbohydrate, 1/4 protein, and 1/2 vegetables (excluding beans etc which are rather carbohydrate). For older people losing muscles, a higher proportion of protein may be better. The type of carbohydrate matters much. White rice, white bread, etc.. are digested quickly, creating a surge of glucides which may be transformed into fat. Brown rice, brown bread, pasta, etc.. are digested more slowly, so they don't create a surge of glucides. For the same reason, they also provide energy during a longer period of time. In order to avoid a surge of glucides, it's also better not to eat carbohydrate at the beginning of the meal, rather in the middle or at the end. As concerns sugar, most people ignore that fructose is worst than zaccharose (for the same reason). In particular, avoid smoothies. The liver cannot deal with such a large shot of fructose and transforms it into fat. -
UK Faces Countdown to Reject WHO’s Expanding Pandemic Powers

Exactly. It's another storm in a tea cup! The WHO has no coercitive power, and also no intrusive investigation power. -

Certainly a good move. However there's more to do re. pesticides and fertilizers, for example. Will the agro lobby let him change that too? -

Suuure! And that's why a higher share of Trump voters died from Covid-19 than Dem voters, after the vaccine was available, because a significant n7mber of them refused to get vaccinated! 🤣 https://www.cidrap.umn.edu/covid-19/political-party-affiliation-linked-excess-covid-deaths https://ncnewsline.com/2022/10/04/study-more-republicans-than-democrats-likely-died-of-covid/ https://www.npr.org/sections/health-shots/2021/12/05/1059828993/data-vaccine-misinformation-trump-counties-covid-death-rate -

Stocks, dollar slide as Trump's attacks on Fed shake markets
candide replied to BLMFem's topic in Political Soapbox
You remember well what was said, but not who said that! 🤣 When Biden was in charge, stocks were performing quite well! It was MAGAs who were claiming that only rich people own stocks, and also that the stock market isn't driven by the president. -
The high level of production outsourcing in the U.S. is also largely the cause of U.S. trade deficits with other countries too. Other countries, for example in the EU, actually buy a lot of American brands, but they are produced in China or elsewhere. So the EU has a trade surplus with the U.S., and a trade deficit with China.

So you don't know which virus and your proof is an...image! In other words, you make assertions but you have nothing.... -

I know about gain of function. If you add a function to a virus, the altered virus keeps the genetic signature of its progenitor. So which virus is the progenitor, according to you? About which gain of function experiment are you talking exactly? -

The point you seem to be missing is that if you have a virus which genetically cannot be a progenitor of the Covid 19 virus and you add a function to it, you still have a virus which cannot be a progenitor, with an added function. There is no identified progenitor, neither by natural evolution, nor by gain of function. -

Again, I was replying to another poster claiming that the virus was planned before 2020 and the mRNA was also ready before the pandemic. -

The fact that gain of function research was being carried out on coronaviruses which could not have been progenitor of Sars-Cov-2 is irrelevant. -

I don't know. I have no divination power. The progenitor of Covid-19 has not been identified yet. In any case, it doesn't make the man-made hypothesis more likely. If Covid-19 is the outcome of gain of function research, which virus is the progenitor? There isn't any known. Of course you can design any nice conspiracy theory you want about a "secret" progenitor, but it's just speculation. -

So no mRNA as claimed by the other poster. It took one year for China to launch the vaccination campaign and the vaccine was far from being good. You have nothing to support your "beyond any doubt" claim. And then a lame Big Pharma conspiracy theory yo rejecy scientific articles you don't like. How convenient.... -
