Six more Bidens may have gained from family business schemes: Comer
candide replied to onthedarkside's topic in World News
Nothing illegal with these payments. Hunter's lawyer already explained the payments. Comer has nothing. As to the CCP aspect, it was a private company. On top of it thousands of U.S. businesses make business with Chinese companies controlled by the government (=CCP). "State-owned enterprises accounted for over 60% of China's market capitalization in 2019[9] and generated 40% of China's GDP of US$15.97 trillion (101.36 trillion yuan) in 2020" "This principle creates a political governance system in China’s SOEs—a Party-dominated governance system characterized by Party leadership, state ownership, Party cadre management, Party participation in corporate decision-making, and intra-Party supervision." https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/State-owned_enterprises_of_China Just a few of these companies... 3M Company A.O. Fox News settles Dominion defamation case for $787.5m

Trump remains silent on Fox’s Dominion lawsuit settlement ???? Mr Trump previously called on Fox to continue lying about the 2020 election https://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/americas/us-politics/trump-fox-news-dominion-settlement-b2322725.html -

There are consequences. -
Not sure. The army clique currently governing the country is not controlling the military any more. It would require the agreement of who you know, and It's far from certain he would agree to it. I would rather expect a judiciary coup, using the numerous mechanisms they put in the constitution to this aim.

I check on their website. Nothing on the front page. I had to use the search function to find a small uninformative 15 lines article. It doesn't even mention the amount paid. ???? https://www.foxnews.com/media/fox-news-media-dominion-voting-systems-reach-agreement-over-defamation-lawsuit -
Climate-sceptic accounts surge after Elon Musk’s Twitter takeover
candide replied to onthedarkside's topic in World News
Yet, oceans are rising, It's a reality. It's not a question of debate between climate cultist and others. Oceans are rising and scientific studies predict it will rise more. There is a large variation in the outcome between the different studies, but the trend is clear. As to the example of Barack Obama's mansion, as usual, it is fake news. It seats well above sea level. But why let facts get in the way of a good climate denier story! ???? -
US accuses 4 Black nationalists of acting for Russian intelligence

However, one has to be a nutter to conspire with Russia. Most people sharing the same feeling don't do that, and there are plenty of other ways to promote a cause without siding with Russia. -

Pathetic! Comer is desperate because he has nothing, so he's making up. -

He has provided links about it in previous posts. There's also one article linked in my post above this one. Good reading. -
Climate-sceptic accounts surge after Elon Musk’s Twitter takeover

Confirmed by another analysis of more recent papers https://iopscience.iop.org/article/10.1088/1748-9326/ac2966 "Our results confirm, as has been found in numerous other previous studies of this question, that there is no significant scientific debate among experts about whether or not climate change is human-caused. This issue has been comprehensively settled, and the reality of ACC is no more in contention among scientists than is plate tectonics or evolution. The tiny number of papers that have been published during our time period which disagree with this overwhelming scientific consensus have had no discernible impact, presumably because they do not provide any convincing evidence to refute the hypothesis that—in the words of IPCC AR5—'it is extremely likely that human influence has been the dominant cause of the observed warming since the mid-20th century' [12], and, most recently in IPCC AR6—'it is unequivocal that human influence has warmed the atmosphere, ocean and land' [13]." -

Hatred of white! ???? You should write "hatred by white" "Most violent far-right perpetrators were motivated by white supremacist or anti-government sentiments, and they committed most of the fatal attacks in 2021." https://www.csis.org/analysis/pushed-extremes-domestic-terrorism-amid-polarization-and-protest

Wagner Boss Claims Russia’s Mission Accomplished in Ukraine
candide replied to onthedarkside's topic in The War in Ukraine
Ahem! Who was spreading propaganda? "The FSB's reported calculation of almost 110,000 casualties by February is still far lower than numbers this week in previously leaked US documents, which estimated Russian losses at between 189,500 and 223,000 casualties, with 35,500-43,000 men killed in action. Russia's most recent official figure dates back to September last year, when the deaths of 5,937 servicemen were confirmed." https://www.bbc.com/news/world-europe-65260672 -
Lies and mistakes are not the same. Fox News was knowingly lying about election fraud. Not a mistake. About the OP issue, they also knowingly hid evidence they were compelled to provide. Not a mistake either.

Some comme terms claim it may not be only his personal opinion and that he was told to present this scenario, in order to test the reaction of public opinion (incl. In Russia), and of Ukraine allies. -

And not particularly successful nor profitable in Mali.... "One year after the Wagnerians arrived in Mali, results have been, at best, mixed; and at worst, a failure. Wagner’s 1,400 mercenaries have been unsuccessful in military action against the jihadists and restoring state-controlled security to the country. Despite numerous operations, GSIM remains present, apparently further extending its territory towards the south. The large-scale GSIM attack, carried out on 22 July 2022 against the Kati military camp, demonstrated to Malian military colonels that Iyad Ag Ghaly was not as distant an enemy as previously believed. The threats continue to rise in the northeast of Mali." https://www.theafricareport.com/273152/the-wagner-wars-malian-edition/ -
Biden’s poll numbers look grim as he preps for reelection bid
candide replied to onthedarkside's topic in World News
From the OP article "Biden’s 43-percent approval rating at this juncture of his term puts him roughly even with past presidents who have both won — Barack Obama (43 percent), Ronald Reagan (41 percent) — and lost, like Trump (42 percent) and Jimmy Carter (40 percent)." -
So if I understand well, It's popular because it is easy to use, and one can quickly kill many people. No comment needed.
