  1. The two quotes were included in the post by Stevenl, to which I replied. They have in common that: - they obviously refer to the case of Hungary. It's you who introduced Hungary in the debate, - they also insinuate that Hungary was punished because of its policy towards immigration, and not because of its restrictions to the independence of the judiciary and the media. This is a claim only made by Brexiteers (when the posters are British, of course).
  2. Significant, no one knows. Influential, it surely already is! https://www.forbes.com/sites/tommybeer/2020/09/02/majority-of-republicans-believe-the-qanon-conspiracy-theory-is-partly-or-mostly-true-survey-finds/?sh=26b4437b5231
  3. How stupid these Chinese people were! They didn't know Joe Biden was not holding any official position any more! Dumber than dumb! ???? "Chinese energy company CEFC paid first son Hunter Biden and first brother Jim Biden $4.8 million in 2017 and 2018, according to the Washington Post." (The NYPost now citing generally censored left-wing MSM ????) You can also check it in the (generally censored ????) article cited: "The Post did not find evidence that Joe Biden personally benefited from or knew details about the transactions with CEFC, which took place after he had left the vice presidency and before he announced his intentions to run for the White House in 2020." https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/2022/03/30/hunter-biden-china-laptop/ As about "opacity" ????, "Hunter Biden’s financial arrangement with CEFC China Energy have been previously reported and were included in a Republican-led Senate report from 2020." And that's how Biden's DOJ and the deep state have been protecting Hunter: ???? "Hunter Biden’s overseas work has been the subject of heightened scrutiny. He has been under federal investigation as part of an inquiry into his taxes, with witnesses called before a grand jury as recently as last month".
  4. The Russia investigation was not particularly targeting Trump. The Russian interference has been comfirmed and some people have been convicted (and pardoned by Trump for some of them). https://abcnews.go.com/Politics/breakdown-indictments-cases-muellers-probe/story?id=61219489 A cost–benefit analysis of the investigation shows a net benefit for the government, with far more income than expenses. By December 2018, the investigation had cost approximately $32 million[149] but gained approximately $48 million. More than half of the cost of the investigation was for personnel compensation and benefits. The gains were accrued primarily by uncovering unpaid taxes by targets in the investigation, seizing assets, and collecting fines https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special_Counsel_investigation_(2017–2019)#:~:text=Paul Manafort%2C former Trump campaign, former Ukrainian president Viktor Yanukovich.
  5. It's rather that some people didn't care that other people would die needlessly, as long as they thought they could score political points.
  6. Ahem... Supporters Salute Trump at Ohio Rally https://news.yahoo.com/supporters-salute-trump-ohio-rally-171644389.html
  7. Not true. She was nominated by elected governments ( the Council), then approved by elected MEPS. She is also not the president of the EU, only of one of the three main EU institutions. Two directly elected bodies (Council and EP). One appointed by the two other elected bodies. Not so bad compared to UK. Only one elected entity. An unelected chief of State and an unelected House of Lords. None of them elected directly or indirectly. On top of it, applicants are pre-selected according to the most undemocratic criteria.
  8. It's just an example of a broader issue. 30% to 50% of the land is owned by the aristocracy in the UK. It's huge.
  9. It's quite interesting to see that Brexiteers, who are supposed to be proud of the British democratic system, have no problem when other countries, such as Hungary, trample underfoot the basic democratic principles that UK brought to the world, such as the independence of the judiciary and the media.
  10. Putin has the same problem with India as with China. Russia is an economic dwarf. https://www.india-briefing.com/news/indias-import-export-trends-in-2020-21-trade-diversification-fta-ftp-plans-23305.html/
  11. No misunderstanding when sentences are not cherry picked. Here's the full paragraph. What do you conclude from it? During receipt of the production, FPOTUS COUNSEL 1 stated he was advised all the records that came from the White House were stored in one location within Mar-a-Lago, the STORAGE ROOM, and the boxes of records in the STORAGE ROOM were "the remaining repository" of records from the White House. FPOTUS COUNSEL 1 fwiher stated he was not advised there were any records in any private office space or other location in Mar-a-Lago. The agents and DOJ COUNSEL were pem1itted to see the STORAGE ROOM and observed that approximately fifty to fifty-five boxes remained in the STORAGE ROOM
  12. Two different issues, it seems. Mark Meadows Told National Archives Mar-A-Lago Document Boxes Were Filled With News Clips: Report https://www.forbes.com/sites/marisadellatto/2022/09/16/mark-meadows-told-national-archives-mar-a-lago-document-boxes-were-filled-with-news-clips-report/
  13. Is it just by accident, or does the Qanon patriot who made this image fancies particular face expressions? ????
  14. On top of it, It's quite a ridiculous image! The bone spurred storm! ????
  15. Are you claiming that the British colonisation has been made for altruist reasons and that the economic balance has not been hugely positive for the UK? ????
  16. This is completely incoherent. The Trump administration has appointed Durham to investigate this matter, in the hope of incriminating the so-called left (and in particular Hillary). Now you are claiming that Trump would have kept incriminating evidence instead of offering them to Durham on a silver plate, really? On top of it, what would have prevented Trump to make these documents public? In particular as he was claiming they were not classified documents! ????
  17. Unsurprisingly, you chose to target Biden shaking hands on the 13/07/2022, at a time there were no restrictions in place any more, and forgot to mention all the right-wing politicians and figures who have openly downplayed the pandemic and campaigned against various restrictions and measures. It has, among other things, resulted in a much higher Covid death rate in districts who voted for Trump, than in districts who voted for Biden.
  18. Right, they still cannot swallow they lost these territories in the Vladivostok region (which actually were Mandchu, not Chinese). https://www.todayonline.com/chinaindia/china/russias-vladivostok-lures-chinese-tourists-who-want-city-back The irony is that they may use the same trick as Putin in Ukraine. An increasing number of Chinese is settllng across the border and they may well become the majority of inhabitants in this area one day. Them China may argue it needs to conduct a special operation in this part of historic China in order to protect Chinese inhabitants oppressed by Russian fascists. ????
  19. And as usual.... That's how illegal drugs cross the border: "So the drugs that are actually taking the lives of people here in the United States - methamphetamine, cocaine, heroin, fentanyl- almost universally come through the ports of entry along the southern border - so that is people that carry them on their bodies or even in their bodies or cars or vehicles. And then the second w And then the second way is through the international postal mail service." "People don't backpack or try to sneak those drugs across the border between the ports of entry because, one, they could be caught by the Border Patrol. Number two, they don't really trust those people to do that. So it's much better for them to have somebody that is taking the drugs through a port of entry where they're met on the other side of the port here in the United States, and those drugs are immediately taken" https://www.npr.org/2019/04/06/710712195/how-do-illegal-drugs-cross-the-u-s-mexico-border
  20. Texas, you said Texas? Comparing crime rates between undocumented immigrants, legal immigrants, and native-born US citizens in Texas "We make use of uniquely comprehensive arrest data from the Texas Department of Public Safety to compare the criminality of undocumented immigrants to legal immigrants and native-born US citizens between 2012 and 2018. We find that undocumented immigrants have substantially lower crime rates than native-born citizens and legal immigrants across a range of felony offenses. Relative to undocumented immigrants, US-born citizens are over 2 times more likely to be arrested for violent crimes, 2.5 times more likely to be arrested for drug crimes, and over 4 times more likely to be arrested for property crimes. In addition, the proportion of arrests involving undocumented immigrants in Texas was relatively stable or decreasing over this period. The differences between US-born citizens and undocumented immigrants are robust to using alternative estimates of the broader undocumented population, alternate classifications of those counted as “undocumented” at arrest and substituting misdemeanors or convictions as measures of crime." https://www.pnas.org/doi/10.1073/pnas.2014704117 The Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences (PNAS), a peer reviewed journal of the National Academy of Sciences (NAS)
  21. He claims otherwise! Lol! As if he had any credibility! ( You know, the same guy who claims he won the 2020 elections) BTW what if a politician would have strengthened a law just to harm a political opponent, and would ultimately end up having a taste of his own medicine? Should he feel outraged or just dumb?
  22. Then it doesn't apply to the current case then, as Trump is solely responsible for it. You know, by refusing to give back presidential records, hiding them, having his lawyers lie about it etc...
  23. I am not sure I understand. Do you mean the law should not be applied to political opponents?
