  1. Every decision is the outcome of several issues. Let's not forget to factor in the economic and demographic issues. The Russian population has been declining for years (less one million in 2021) and Russia is (relatively) an economic dwarf. The Eastern provinces would be a useful addition to Russia.
  2. Hogan is Republican! ????
  3. "The witness will please stand and raise her right hand. Do you swear or affirm under penalty of perjury that the testimony you're about to give is truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth, so help you God?" https://www.npr.org/2022/06/28/1108396692/jan-6-committee-hearing-transcript
  4. It's because he has no other argument.
  5. Yes, inflation is higher now but Biden is not responsible for the global energy prices and global supply problems (just as Trump was not responsible for the Covid-19 pandemic). The unemployment rate is more interesting. Trump inherited an economy which had enjoyed steady growth for years, while Biden inherited the post-Covid economy. Two facts may be outlined: - the U.S. has quickly created a record number of jobs under Biden and the unemployment is now in the same range as pre-Covid. - the rate of unemployment decrease under Trump (pre-Covid) was better during Obama's last term. Despite Trump increasing debt and budget deficit thanks to tax cuts. You are right about energy independence. However, the increase in energy production (and the related decrease of imports) did not start with Trump. Actually there was more progress made during Obama's tenure. "U.S. net imports have been declining since 2005 as a result of hydraulic fracturing. That year, U.S. net imports of petroleum and petroleum products (e.g., gasoline, diesel, jet fuel) averaged 12.5 million barrels per day (BPD). By the time President Obama left office, the number had declined to 4.8 million BPD (Source). During Obama’s last full month in office, the number was 4.2 million BPD." https://www.forbes.com/sites/rrapier/2022/03/08/surprise-the-us-is-still-energy-independent/?sh=b7b30d230b66
  6. Ok let's phrase it differently. It's a MAGA lame argument.
  7. Which assault? Another lame MAGA propaganda argument! Voices: Republicans wanted another January 6 after Roe v Wade was overturned. They didn’t get it ???? "They desperately want to create a moral equivalency between any violence that might be committed in the wake of the overturning of Roe v Wade — none of which has so far included riots, injuries or deaths — and the insurrection on January 6, during which multiple people were injured and died. Conservatives desperately want to draw a parallel because doing so would lead the public to believe that the violence on January 6 and the attempts to steal the presidency that preceded it are not unique to the American right’s bloodlust" https://news.yahoo.com/voices-republicans-wanted-another-january-212137813.html
  8. Just read U.S. District Judge Mary Kay Vyskocil's opinion, leaning heavily on the arguments of Fox's lawyers: The "'general tenor' of the show should then inform a viewer that [Carlson] is not 'stating actual facts' about the topics he discusses and is instead engaging in 'exaggeration' and 'non-literal commentary.' " ???? She wrote: "Fox persuasively argues, that given Mr. Carlson's reputation, any reasonable viewer 'arrive[s] with an appropriate amount of skepticism' about the statement he makes." ???????????????????? https://www.npr.org/2020/09/29/917747123/you-literally-cant-believe-the-facts-tucker-carlson-tells-you-so-say-fox-s-lawye
  9. It could be explained by the fact that these media are more "normal media" than left-wing propaganda media and therefore are able to meet a broader audience.
  10. Isn't the U.S. civil war taught at school? How can it be taught without explanations about slavery?
  11. "Incidentally chained", "inadvertently whipped"........
  12. Come om! I don't know how many people have been killed, but It's well known that the British, French, Spanish, Portuguese, Belgian, Italian etc... colonial empires have been established and maintained based on killings and oppression. There has been some positive impact in terms of education, infrastructure or institutions, but it cannot be said that autochtones were happy to be colonised.
  13. Same for the so-called liberal biased social media such as Facebook or Twitter. The most viewed are Fox News hosts.
  14. And the source of the report is? "Overall, we rate the Crime Prevention Research Center Right Biased based on strongly advocating for guns and the conservative agenda. We also rate them Mixed for factual reporting based on a few failed fact checks." https://mediabiasfactcheck.com/crime-prevention-research-center/
  15. It's not the point I made. The point I made is that this information (Republicans are divided re Trump 2024) was also presented in other media, including right-wing media. Capisce?
  16. I must acknowledge that you raise relevant issues. Trump candidate in 2024 would significantly improve the odds of a Democratic candidate winning. Getting rid of him would be beneficial to democracy in general, not necessarily to the Democrats. However, on short-term, it may be useful to discredit some MAGA candidates during the midterms. Then, It's true that there is currently no obvious good Democratic candidate for the presidential elections. It's a real problem.
  17. That's the post I was replying to, not mine. Anyway, this topic has also been addressed by other media. Would a right-wing biased source be to your liking? ???? https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/news/campaigns/heres-what-republicans-have-to-say-about-trump-2024-candidacy
  18. You are too impatient. Haven't you noticed how these hearings have been expertly scenarized? First, Trump's Republican aides testifying he had been warned that the Big Lie was effectively a lie. After that, Trump's Republican aides testifying how the plot was conceived and implemented (plus some written evidence). Then the unexpected Republican aide with her shock testimony. Followed by outcry and whining in the MAGA sphere, which actually directed public attention to some Jan. 6 events. Haven't thought about what the next episode will be? The next session will be Cipollone (and maybe others) confirming under oath what Hutchinson already told under oath. It will also include FBI agents testimony that Trump eagerly wanted to go to the Capitol, where the mob was already assaulting the building (whether they confirm or not the steering wheel funny episode, is of minor importance).
  19. It's going to be good! ???? Trump is so jealous that he will destroy the Republican party rather than let DeSantis take the lead.
  20. There is another explanation: it was both intentionally provoked AND stupid! ????
  21. I think you are confusing "show to be false" with "claim to be false". It's no wonder that 90% of media claim something is true when It's backed by facts. For example, it's no wonder 90% of media claimed Crowdstrike was not a Ukrainian company, that the big lie was a lie, etc...... (the full list would be too long). Actually, the main issue is that some people only read/watch one type of media and so are not able to compare information from different sources.
  22. Actually, he may well announce a presidential run for 2024. It would allow him to claim he has been unfairly targeted (and possibly indicted) because because liberals and RINOs are afraid he may win.. Of course, MAGA fans would believe him.
  23. It's true that civilians have been killed. If I remember well, it was mainly close to the frontline, checkpoints, bases, etc....
  24. However, only one of the two countries at war is extensively killing civilians.
