You have called him stupid for buying a 'cheap charlie insurance' - thus blaming him being in the predicament he is in. You alluded to him not having a licence and not wearing a helmet - again potentially blaming him (even though no head injuries reported). You commented further that he was stupid. Meanwhile you get so bent out of shape when I have called you out for making dumb comments while you fail to see your own hypocrisy, why is that ? because you are doubling down in your bigoted anti-British agenda and arguing me, not the subject - if this guy was not a Brit I very much doubt you'd be so quick to condemn him.

??? I thought someone was drunk, then I saw who the poster was which kind of explains the inexplicably weird nature of the comment... ... I see the name and automatically ignore anything written after that... quite frankly I'm surprised anybody even bothers replying to any of his comments at all.
-
Seriously ??? - you can't see the possibility that someone else was travelling at speed 'hit him from the side' which crushed his leg ??? There's no information or report regarding the accident - so anything could have happend. It could be another parties fault or no one else involved at all... ... But.. you've managed to shoe-horn drunk riding and speeding to justify blaming him without any basis.

British Tourist Found Dead in Phuket Drainage Ditch
richard_smith237 replied to Georgealbert's topic in Phuket News
How does that even happen ???... Slipped while attempting to retrieve a dropped item (phone or something) ??? -
Depends what ecosystem... iPhone or Android ??? Also - recommendation: Spotify or Tidal... Almost any song you want at your finger tips for a 139 baht per month.

I don't tell all people they are stupid - just the stupid ones on a lower level !!!.. Interesting you mention chip on shoulders - it is you I've called out for having that 'anti-British' chip on your shoulder !! Ignored due to not lowering myself to the level of general stupidity you fail to elevate yourself beyond.

Cheers - If he was behaving like a complete pest then thats good information. BUT - as it stands, we only have the word of the two guys who broke his noses - I'm highly doubt the veracity of their their account... Its also highly strange that two That guys in an area such as Pattaya will become 'good samaritans' and help an overtly dunken fool - its is that aspect which raises my eyebrows... No proof of course, but as others have mentioned - there seems a lot more to this story than meets the eye.
-
Was he ??? how ??? He was drunk, it has not been reported that he was behaving poorly, agressively or disrespectfully etc ??? And you are right, they didnt need to 'respect him'... but neither did they need to beat him up... I tend to agree - but that still does not justify a beating - the two Thai guys were not defending themselves - this seems like an attack.

Guns do kill people - thats the very purpose of their design - anyone carrying a gun does so with the knowledge that its use has lethal force. Conversely, vehicles were designed under a completely different ideology, while they can have lethal force that is not their primary design. Using 'guns' as an analogy in this context is flawed at a very basic level - but I wouldn't expect 'pro-gun advocates' to comprehend this. 100% agree here - its tragic that the poor did not have safer options of transport made available to them.

So can I - but not everyone can. Surely you understand that. I don't imagine many of the people I know in the UK have £30k liquid and instantly accessible. How long does a personal loan take to arrange ?... note the parents were on a flight over to Thailand as soon as they heard of the incident - loans etc may take weeks to arrange.

How do you know 'it' [government provide insurance] will not work well ? - you are guessing and cant possibly know that. The Government scheme works well enough for Thai's - so why couldn't foreigners / tourists and long termers pay into that scheme too ???? It could be included in Visa Costs... Or it could be a 'fee on entry' although that could cause additional chaos and delays on arrival. Thailand is already floating a 'tourist tax' - so an insurance premium could be added to that - costs have been floated in the past and its only about 300 baht per arrival.
-
I agree - Governments will just have to make it work... How ???... compulsory insurance for all visitors... how to practically put that in place. Many options - one of them floated was to included it into the price of a ticket. - Another was a 300 baht 'Tourist tax' on arrival All have their pro's and cons. Another option is the Governments write off the loss as the medical cost burden of Tourists on the Thai Health care system us just 1% of the revenue of the medical Tourism to Thailand and 0.002% of the income from overseas Tourism on a whole - so the burden cost could easily be written off.

No - I'm not pro Brit-Bigot yah daft sally - it should be wholly apparent by now that I'm 'anti-Bigotry' of any kind... Now - I was daft enough to engage your stupidity yesterday in another thread - You have a personal issue with me because I've called out your stupidity too many times and you think that its personal. Its not, I don't know you and when you make a sensible critically balanced comment its very likely I'll agree with you. But for now - we've had enough back and forth in the other thread and I'm busier today so don't have the time to get dragged down to your level of stupidity and derail the thread further explaining why you are wrong - I'll just deal with any sensible part of the discussion / debate you have.

Actually, as pointed out by anther poster - you may be able to get your battery changed out at a local service facility - but thats no guarantee that the rest of the phone is not shot from damage from the overheating battery. Though I assume you have already resolved the issue.
-
Perhaps - by Law any hosptial (private or public) are obliged to render medical care in the first 72 hours. Only them once stabilised can a private facility look at transferring a patient to a government facility if cost becomes a concern. In this case its not clear if the lad is in a private or government hospital - but, looking at the photo (on first page of this thread) it looks as though he is on a ward in a government hospital.
-
Below - you did use an IF - but your implication remains clear.... Of course, if he was any other nationality than British you may not have allowed our anti-British bigtory to surface and allude to blaming the injured party... You still have no idea how you stupidly allow your bias you cloud your judgement an comments. What crime ??? Jeez you post some complete rubbish... I kind of agree with this in principle - however, in the real world this does not work. This is why in Europe there used to an insurance sharing scheme (which was once E111), was EIHC before Brexit and is now GHIC post brexit... there are plenty of shared insurance schemes. There has been an insurance issue in Thailand for decades... So, blaming the people is not a solution... its just playing a dumb blame game - there are solutions and that is mandatory insurance for all visitors and that can be provided on arrival IF it can be done so conveniently. I don't expected you to agree... Its clear the underlying reason for your objection is because are 'doubling down' on your objection to anything I post because you are butt-hurt fool and lack the capacity to think critically.
