  1. Some nations have a much higher segment than others. Becasue 'some nations' are here in far greater numbers. A very poor attempt to troll... list these 'altercations' I've had, anything which led to physical violence... I recall telling a story of how I complained to the Purser, when on a flight with my 4 year old son (who was sleeping on my lap), I wanted a beer (2nd beer of the flight) about 4 hours in, and the FA rudely told me to go and get my own. .... You used that story good few times to accuse me of 'attacking flight attendants on a plane'... You see Malky... you take a snippet of a story and contort it so far out of context to support your own vapid agenda you outwardly lie, you miss quote people, you quote partial information... Your posts are not in the interest of obtaining fact or understanding a story, but all with the singular goal of trolling, triggering argument and forcing this bizarre and highly delusional rhetoric that noThai's can do any wrong and whenever a foreigner reaches the media - its always their fault. Your posts are the ultimate example of a manipulative toxic cockroach at work - you're a perfect case study of what a troll truly is - hats off, you play your part well.
  2. Another fabrication - it looks like the Brit was running away from a fight... Why were they chasing him ? Made up rubbish again - there was no evidence of the 'kick to the nuts'... nothing in the full CCTV coverage - you are just copying what the Thai thug said and stupidly taking it as fact.
  3. Sounds like a great idea for a youtube channel. You could teach them how to be proper posh tw8ts. Sounds like a great idea for a youtube channel. You could teach them how to be proper posh tw8ts. Corrected it for you blaze...
  4. The story is incomplete - much more happened here... What was he running from exactly ???... Are we really going to believe the information provided by the two witnesses who killed him ? - I know MalcomB does, but I mean normal people with balanced and critical thought.
  5. This article was a idiots wet-dream... it must have taken you a while to clean up after yourselve... And this is exactly why - Well spotted Gottfrid...
  6. Another delusional comment - you are only interested in stirring the pot.
  7. You read the news which is nearly always incomplete.... the void in information and fact are obvious... hence the very common comment ... 'there's more to the story'... (than the report indicates).... Additionally, if you take the 'written word' in a media source such as Khaosod - then you're blind fool - there is no fact checking. There are hardly any facts in these reports, we get half videos, and 'witness statements' which are pure guess work of whoever was nearby, yet because a Thai media source runs with it and it gets translated... you take the words as fact and like a blind food take those words without any critical thought whatsoever.... you're an utter fool ffor believing most of the rubbish just because its in print.... You want a question mark.... a huge one hangs over your basic intelligence.
  8. Same here... VFS... passports replaced in the last 6 months for both my son and I. VFS only snip the Corner once you receive your replacement passport and verify its accuracy (DOB, Names etc). The reason for this is your existing passport, while theoretically void while a new passport is under application is still valid as 'existing legal ID' in Thailand until it 'snipped' - it also acts as an emergency travel document. Thus: I suspect you may have your wires crossed as to the 'stage' at which the staff at the VFS (The Shoppes at Belle Grand Rama 9) snipped the corner off your old passport, or someone there made a fundamental error - as you would have been left without 'legal identification'.
  9. The corner gets 'snipped' only upon receipt of replacement / new passport. But... given the condition of his passport having gone through the wash, he can't travel on it anyway.
  10. I did the same thing years ago.... (about 20)... Maid hands me my passport the next morning, all wrinkly, visa stamps run, ID page visible... .... called up the British Consulate.... As long as the ID page is still clear, then its ok to apply for a replacement'. Steps: - Book an Appointment at VFS - Download the forms and fill out for a replacement passport (check box - replacement due to damage). - Usual Process for Passport renewal If you have no urgency to travel, then its ok... You'll keep your old passport. When the new Passport arrives, head to your Immigration office and have the stamps transfered (most of their info is digital - so it shouldn't be an issue)
  11. There's still a lot left out of this story... .... Why was he running away from the Karaoke place ? If he was simply refused entry, what possible reason did he have to run ? .... is being 'drugged up' an excuse they made up ? Did he actually enter the Karaoke and build up a bill ? then try and escape without paying ? .... Did they heavily pad his bill which led to an altercation that he tried to escape ? .... If he was simply running away from a Karaoke place he was rejected entry from, why did they even bother to chase him at all ??? there was no reason to follow him, they simply could have let him run... Instead, they caught up with him, got off their bike, tried to restrain him, then he tried to take their bike, then they restrained him again and he died.
  12. Some wild clues for you below... Question Marks (highlighted in Bold) in Boheamanfish's comment... clearly indicating the speculative nature of his comment. 'Thoughts' (highlighted in Bold) in my comment... indicating the speculative nature of my comment, also with 'that is clearly due to the bias and media conditioning we've received over the years.... ... which clearly indicates my post was speculative and suspected a bit Pull type dog was involved because we have been conditioned by the media and are now bias we reading such news. In your haste to virtue signal - you completely missed the context of the post like a true numpty... but more so, like a true trolling verminuous cockroach you are attempting to troll and trigger argument....
  13. Because its not just to foreigners... Its to each other too... Read all the news of fights between students a Technical Colleges - the lower socio-demographic of Thailand grows up with violence all around them... ... the grow up with it in the home, they grow up with it at school (Tech colleges), they grow up with it in all forms of social media and the news.... and if they are good at it they will be revered for it as Thai Boxers..... ... Amongst the lower socio-demographic of Thailand violence is simply the norm... for the most part, we as foreigners are outside of this 'circle of violence' but sometimes... in area's of where Thai's have grown jaded, this violence overlaps...
  14. And in the meantime, another will have rolled down a ravine... Wild guess on the blame... Brake failure !!!...
  15. Please can we not make stories and just stick to the facts. What’s wrong with you people. Not a Pit Bull or a viscous breed. Just a Thai dog. https://www.banmuang.co.th/news/region/422808 Are you genuinely that dense, or is punctuation just too advanced for you? It’s called a question mark - look it up. It means someone is asking something, not telling a bedtime story, so spare us you virtue signalling... its pathetic from someone as hypocritical as yourself.... Your link finally coughs up that it’s a Thai breed dog... congratulations... Now tell me, why the hell wasn’t that mentioned in the original piece? Instead, we get this half-baked mess that leaves a vacuum for guesswork. That’s the thing you're clearly unfamiliar with - questions. You know, those squiggly things at the end of sentences? They exist because the story is incomplete (as often mentioned in these threads).
  16. It's a segment of society - primarily chav like characters, unable to handle their booze, load up on other-stuff... we see it with all nationalities.... Every week we see a new flavour, Israeli's, Chinese, Russians, Swiss, Brits, Aussies, Germans, French etc etc... ... And every time some genius makes a sweeping generalisation about that nation.... That said, you haven't fallen into the trap that some idiots do generalise sweeping with a very broad brush, you simply highlighted that there is a 'segment of Brits' - but thats true of any nation... all have their utter idiots... We have our own on here... those who would see a 2 day over-stayer kicked out for ever, those alcoholics who can't help themselves and drink drive - there are dumb people who do (or write) dumb stuff all over - and thats why the news is as often as colourful as it is....
  17. My very first thoughts... Pit Bull... but thats clearly due to the bias and media conditioning we've received over the years. I agree - shoot the dog - it has to be put down. And... yep - I'm still betting this dog was a bit-bull variety or one of the breeds that is commonly banned or on 'dangerous dogs lists' in many countries.... It certainly wasn't a poodle !!!
  18. congratulation's ...... you win the most stupid post of the year award so far !! it was judged you win because the story is about 10 vs 1 in beating up someone. Nothing to do with your comment. The comment is somewhat valid - as in these area's there seems to be an underlying tension and air of resentment that does not exist outside of these area's.... ... Its a perfect example of the saying 'familiarity breeds contempt'... but it I don't think it has anything to do with tourists coming in and who they sh@g..... it has everything do to with the underlying attitudes sense of entitlement and behavior of both the Thai's and the Foreigners that these area's attract... ... Its just a melting pot of scummy attitudes thats easily tipped...
  19. I'm guessing... some snide remark from one to anther, a reply... then an issue went from zero to incendiary in seconds with a 10 on one beating... I've seen it enough times in these area's the 'some of these MC guys are looking for a trigger'... just waiting sometimes.... A mate was beaten up... he walked past a group on a corner... he was drunk... the MC guys if he asked if he wanted an MC... he replied.... "No thanks".... they shouted back at him something about being a no good foreigner... he told them to "F-off"... and that was all it took, they set about him.... ... His mistake, no just walking past them completely ignoring any attempted 'trigger'.... I've heard similar stories a few times.... Meanwhile... in other area's these Win-rider guys can be quite helpful and run out and do errands for you... It just depends where you are - and the guys working in Pattaya and Patong at 4am are not right guys to be having any form of interaction with at all... none-whatsoever... they are 'hand-grenades on a hair trigger'...
  20. I'm so glad my son is growing up with the option to do both and much more... so that his education is vastly improved and he's not stuck making limited binary observations as above....
  21. Utter rubbish..... outside of the area's of high chavvy / bogan tourist footfall such as Pattaya and Patong local Thai's are as indifferent to foreigners as they are each other... we're just another normal part of the landscape.... it quieter towns we may be more 'noticeable' but again, thats as far as it goes.... On occasion a Thai will act out and draw attention, on occasion a foreigner / Westerner will act out and draw attention - and that will be viewed with negatively.... Thats about it.
  22. Agreed... he didn't deserve to die at all... But I think the Thai guys had a right to try and subdue him instead of letting him take their motorcycle... Did they act with too much force ? - it doesn't seem that way, they were not stamping on his head etc... they were just trying to hold him down... I think their actions can be justified as 'defensive'...
  23. Agreed... He (The British man) was clearly appeared highly agitated... running away from what ? The CCTV misses a huge amount of the build up and as we know, 'witness statements' are media commentary, while good enough for some to 'lock-em-up and throw away the key' very rarely paints a balanced picture of events. The two Thai lads did well to subdue him... did they choke-him out for too long though? Did the Brit have a heart attack or any other underlying issue ? (he looked large and potentially quite unfit). More to the story here I think - but as another poster commented.... It appears the Brit was the Author of his own demise - I don't see that the Thai lads could be in trouble for stopping the Brit from trying to steel their motorcycle'....
  24. It’s not a matter of closed-mindedness. Many of us are perfectly willing to engage with opposing views, even when they're patently offensive or deeply objectionable, because debate, however uncomfortable, can still be meaningful. But then there are those whose contributions are utterly devoid of substance. They neither present arguments nor offer insight. Instead, they pollute every thread they touch with a stream of empty provocation or incoherent noise. Their consistency in this is almost impressive - like clockwork, yet entirely void of value. Choosing to ignore them isn’t ignorance. It’s hygiene. We’re not avoiding ideas - we’re sweeping trash off the pavement.
  25. Thats how I felt for over 10 years on this site too. There comes a time (for me anyway) when you just can't be bothered with some people anymore. At times I enjoy reading some of the bickering between posters, so my block list is very short. Exactly - I used to think the same too... No need to block or ignore, just scroll on by, but, some people just keep trolling and trying to trigger an argument after being called out for an idiotic comment in a different thread... ... Or more commonly they simply offer nothing, nothing whatever other than wasteful tosh and they do so with such a consistency that its simply not worth seeing any comment they make... I sometimes reopen a comment they make and I'm never surprised by their content which always re-enforces earlier opinions.
