Will French serial killer “The Serpent” be extradited to Thailand?
Chongalulu replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
But no matter how much you rant and rave that’s not what’s happening is it? He’s a free man, deemed to have served his time ,legally beyond Thai extradition (statute of limitations) and thus also free to earn a living even if that is selling his story. His rights won’t be much different from any other released long term offender. But cheer up,he’ll also be entitled to heart surgery as a French citizen! ???? -
Will French serial killer “The Serpent” be extradited to Thailand?

While having no sympathy for his crimes ,he’s officially now served his sentence and likely has no funds or other means to support himself so is taking the only realistic alternative. -

36k not outlandish?.! You’re a very significant portion of the way towards buying a whole new lower end scooter for that ! Just for some suspension tweaks..? ????

I was just looking at the Honda ADV (200K for the 350 or 120k for the 160) . Guess very similar? But I’m naturally inclined towards the Honda brand. Maybe I should just stick with the 8 year old 125 Wave which just seems ,with regular servicing,to perform like new !

British woman breaks nearly every bone in face in Thailand
Chongalulu replied to webfact's topic in Koh Samui News
Structurally far better anyway in any circumstance and absolutely way better protection in a face plant type accident. Especially if you’ve bought a properly approved helmet. Mine cost several hundred £ UK . Cheap helmets are for cheap heads . -

Exactly, mine is Arai ,a proper CE approved branded full face helmet too which I wear with protective motorcycle gloves even for a 1 kilometer trip to the local shop. It takes less than 30 seconds to put it all on properly . Tourists simply don’t understand their travel insurance doesn’t cover them. -
Household Power Tariff Frozen from Jan to April
Chongalulu replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
The idea isn’t to STOP all price rises but alleviate. You may be able to reduce your costs by altering your shopping habits but much more difficult on your home energy. Thailand is very much cheaper on energy costs than most of Europe. And we don’t have the winter there like now ???? -
Which coupe/sporty looking car to buy?
Chongalulu replied to YorkshireTyke's topic in Thailand Motor Discussion
Buying a 10 year old car even with very low mileage is certainly NOT like buying new! Very many faults are age ,not mileage related . Additionally, cars like that which never get a chance to warm up properly create their own problems. And their technology is out of date. The best option is a high mileage newer car that has done lots of low stress long journeys but whose price is depressed. Especially suitable for those doing low mileages thereafter. -
Crazy Traffic - Only going to get worse - Phuket going to be overrun

Pattaya?! As a swimmer/snorkeller (or most else) the very bottom of the list for where I’d want to go. -
Crazy Traffic - Only going to get worse - Phuket going to be overrun

I wouldn’t say there are so many better places that would fit the criteria pertaining to Phuket. Ko Lanta was one I favoured in recent years which had the beaches/snorkeling/swimming and some of the necessary facilities as well as being on the better Andaman side. The east coast /Gulf falls down in many respects on that count. I can do without the seedier side or plethora of bars but you need some facilities which the more remote islands lack. id be interested in your views of what specifically you feel are the obvious alternatives. I did discover Phuket almost 40 years ago ( even dived in the Similans) so understand /agree with those feelings about the deterioration ,especially in the last decade or two. I last visited in March (Karon) when it was much quieter (I thought Lanta would be dead) and enjoyed it more than of recent times..to which it may be returning?? -
That termite mound has a striking resemblance to Harry Kane about to take a penalty. That’s it,I’m taking the 800k to qualify for my visa extension out of the bank and betting it all on Harry to score the final penalty in the WC final. My winnings might even pay for the agent I’ll now have to use !???? It’s coming home,it’s coming home !…. or I am if I get it wrong ????

Immigration Police to Revise Visa Extension Criteria

Foreign government departments do not have unfettered access to another country’s criminal database generally. Unless you meant those convicted in Thailand -
????. My missus has a 5 year old Huawei where those services are still running but I think they’re restricted ,or maybe much more so on their newer phones? Anyway, looking at replacing with possibly Xiaomi.

I presume they used specs appropriate to the ethanol % content in use at the time but when that increased other issues arose. "When fuel contains a high amount of ethanol, the gasoline will begin to decay because of the oxygen in the blend. Since the ethanol is hygroscopic, it absorbs water from the air, causing the fuel blend to separate. Ethanol can be extremely damaging to small engines and high-powered sports equipment, leading to corrosion of the engine and fuel system. Simply put, what seems like a relatively innocuous purchase of an ethanol containing fuel can ruin your engine."

Though won’t ethanol damage seals etc without necessary modifications? My 2015 Isuzu would’ve needed a modification kit (around 3000 baht quoted a few years ago) when I was considering it. The engine will run fine on it but it’s the aforementioned concomitant damage . All academic since it’s basically gone away now
