If you have to make up something I didn’t say to support an argument, then you don’t have one. Try looking up "opportunistic " . ????♂️ -
Wife Drove Over Neighbour's Dog

The point is that HERE the best advice in these circumstances IS not to own up to the event because you’ll simply be taken advantage of ( no good deed goes unpunished!) . To act as though you are in another country where different rules apply is both naive and indeed inadvisable. Don’t raise the false equivalence of a human casualty,it’s not the same. The owners likely have no investment in the welfare of the dog beyond using it as a cash cow to extort money from the wife of a farang. "When in Rome…." -
After supposedly going to renew the deteriorating 3M film on the 4 pickup side windows with 3M lumina the wife returns with Maxxma 'carbon ceramic ' (60%) saying they didn’t have 3M and paying 2800 baht in total. While it looks ok now has anyone any experience/feedback on this brand? Apparently has a 7 year warranty (Thai warranties obviously useless in practice!) Also advice is not to open the windows for 1 week to allow it to settle (not heard of that before?). I’m not hopeful… ????

More importantly they are both hybrids,so a significant advantage in terms of efficiency and possibly resale value. The HRV is probably the newer technology (and looks more stylish) in that respect. Definitely worth considering the extra which may not be so much extra when reselling ..

You’re quite correct, there might be a narrow and short term benefit from exchange rates, but sanctions are having a devastating effect on their medium/longer term outlook. They simply can’t access the vital technical components to support any sort of industry . Apart from gas/oil which are retreating from their artificial price highs they have nothing to offer in terms of world trade. It’s economy will be devastated.

While there is little contradiction that vaping is less harmful than cigarettes and that smokers switching to vaping is generally beneficial, the only issue relates to (young) non smokers taking up vaping, believing it harmless, who otherwise might not have smoked. I incline towards vaping having an overall beneficial effect when considering all factors.

Leaving the scene is far the more serious offence as it not only conspires to avoid detection/pervert the course of justice but potentially could mean the death of the third party by not attending/calling for help. She compounded that by leaving the country. Had she stayed (assuming sober) she would have been bailed pending further inquiries which may have exonerated her of blame. Even if found to be at fault (assuming no reckless driving) through misjudgment a jail spell was unlikely. Now it is very likely based on her fleeing the scene.

At least he’d be understood at parties without mangled grammar and syntax! -
My ‘crystal ball' is the widely publicised RTA statistics pertaining to both countries ! You say you rely on ‘empirical evidence and rationalised logic' but don’t seem to understand in practice what they mean (there is such evidence on levels of corruption by country on transparency.org which I’ve already pointed out. As YOU similarly also don’t understand "anecdotal evidence " which isn’t "without evidence " (sic) but refers to evidence gleaned from personal experiences/accounts. Hence the term " anecdotal evidence ". Here is the actual definition for your education. "of an account) not necessarily true or reliable, because based on personal accounts rather than facts or research." Any further education I’m obliged to provide will from henceforth be chargeable..

I was vociferously shouted at by someone hollering " One way!" as I proceeded down a one way street,to which I retorted " I’m only going one way !!" ???? -

Kumbaya ????. You do the chorus ,ok ..? ???? -
The pregnancy correlation argument is specious- it’s binary. And no they aren’t as susceptible, otherwise there would be similar levels of corruption. Transparency.org will educate/inform you better of levels of corruption by country. I notice you pointedly didn’t answer my question about trying to bribe a roadside cop… telling…

Far from Thai style, and worldwide. A best friend of 58 yrs, was killed by a hit & run driver, and today still hasn't come forward or been arrested: https://www.delcotimes.com/2014/03/11/2000-reward-offered-in-collingdale-hit-and-run/ The point is that it is far more commonplace (fleeing the scene)here than likes of UK / USA. Furthermore, the additional very serious charges from such irresponsible action in those countries help ensure the number of incidents is kept to a minimum (despite your own experience) and the authorities will vigorously pursue discovering the perpetrators identity and acting on it ,as this Thai woman is deservedly about to find out . She will now likely be on the end of a custodial sentence which may well not have been the case if it was a simple accident without aggravating features.

While they are inclined not to pay out where possible, this is a slam dunk for them given all policies I’m aware of expressly exclude motorcycle cover ,naming it and others as a dangerous activity. It’s not really "small print" either as some say,it’s very often in the key points of the policy. Many are too lazy to read and understand a vital aspect of their holiday conditions.
