The death toll from Maria, the most powerful storm to hit there in almost a century, was raised last month from 64, a number widely discounted as far too low, to 2,975.
That sounds (non) scientific LMAO
It would not matter what the President did, he would be criticised and lies/omissions would be widespread.
He's an outsider and it's not in the interests of Republicans or Democrats to support him as most of them have their noses to deeply embedded in the swill bin. The arms trade has no more loyal supporters . . .
MAGA!
'It would not matter what the President did, he would be criticised and lies/omissions would be widespread'
He could have:
Not waited 6 days after the hurricane to hold a meeting about it.
Put out his first Tweet (and we know how he loves a good Tweet) long before the 5 days that he actually took
Not blamed the Major and the people of Puerto Rico for all the problems.
Insisted that more than the 10,000 federal personnel got on the ground immediately as all other previous hurricanes (Harvey, Irma) had required 30-40,000.
Got more troops on the ground.
Got food and water there quicker.
Visited it personally before the 13 days it actually took him.
Not Insisted the death toll was just 16 or 17 at the time when EVERYONE knew it was way higher.
So yeah, a few things.

Surely by the end of Trumps second term there should be something nailed down, right?
Many of you Trump fans have been following the narrative of Trump's solicitors and cronies (backed up by Fox news) to try and deflect this actual investigation to be about only one thing i.e. Trump's collusion with the Russians but the truth of the matter is the Mueller investigation is not just about 'collusion' and in fact the word 'collusion' isn't even on Mueller's special council appointment letter. The investigation is about investigating links or co-ordination between the Russian government and the Trump campaign and covers 5 very specific topics:
Financial dealings
Prosecutors are scrutinizing the financial dealings of President Trump's associates, including Mannafort's previous consulting work in Ukraine and the business practices of his personal lawyer (Cohen).
Russian interference
Mueller is examining how Russia intervened in the 2016 presidential campaign, including through the circulation of fake news and divisive Internet memes and the hacking of Democratic emails.
Campaign coordination
Investigating contacts between Trump's associates and people working on behalf of Russians to determine whether there is evidence that Trump's campaign conspired with Russia to interfere in the campaign (this is the collusion part).
Transition contacts
Looking into communications between the Russians and Trump officials during the transition period after Trump was elected but before his inauguration.
Obstruction of justice
Prosecutors are focusing on whether actions by Trump and his associates after he took office indicate an effort to obstruct the Russia investigation.
When you say 'A year and half or two to into this Witch hunt still nothing' is perhaps relevant as far as actual charges against Trump regarding collusion but with 100 criminal charges against 32 people to include 5 convictions and 27 indictment involving four former Trump advisers (all American), 26 Russian nationals, three Russian companies, one California man (American), and one London-based lawyer, you can hardly call that nothing
Collusion is not the primary objective of the investigation but you can be damned sure it is just a matter of time before one of them rolls over (Manafort now being top of the list) and points the finger at Trump himself.
But hey, this is all just facts. Something I know from experience that Trump fans doesn't usually like as it doesn't fit in with their absolute conviction that this is all some deep state apparatus witch-hunt after their Beloved Leader.
It isn't and it will get to Trump in the end.

Or in other words; - Donald Trump was today dragged kicking and screaming to sign an executive order against his mate Putin because he was getting too much heat for doing literally nothing about well documented interference.
I think that pretty much sums it up.

Checks & balances always exist in US politics
If he is not supported he will not be reelected nor allowed to pass much of anything. That is how it has always worked
But the “checks and balances” aren’t working are they? From awarding the rich the highest tax break ever to allowing corporations to poison the earth, to rescinding the Paris agreement, the Iranian nuclear deal and start a trade war with China, every week sees a roll back of Obama’s policies for no more a reason it seems than it was Obama’s so let’s roll it back. A Republican controlled Congress is selfishly supportive at worst, indifferent at best.
I have a very good American friend who like yourself thought the “checks & balances” would keep Trump in place but his executive power is far greater than most imagined and he is weilding it at every given opportunity.
Want to know the worst thing? He’s not done yet.

You really have no idea what KJU's are .
It hasnt been proven that NK are still building Nukes , even if they are , they have every right to, until the agreements have been finalised , which they are in the process of doing .
You are just ignorantly using this situation to bash Trump
And you are just naively trying to get your boy Trump a win even though NK has a loooong history of stringing everyone along with breaking agreements to include:
What: Treaty on the Nonproliferation of Nuclear Weapons
When: December 12, 1985
What happened? North Korea signs onto this landmark treaty—190 countries are currently members—but makes its membership contingent on the US withdrawing nuclear weapons from South Korea, which doesn’t happen for several years, buying North Korea time to build its nuclear capabilities. What: Joint Declaration of the Denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula
When: January 20, 1992
What happened? North and South Korea sign an agreement that “the South and the North shall not test, manufacture, produce, receive, possess, store, deploy or use nuclear weapons.” In February of 1993, suspicion that North Korea is violating its commitments creates tension over inspections, leading to further delays. What: Agreed Framework
When: October 21, 1994
What happened? North Korea promises to stop plutonium production in exchange for much-needed supplies. This mostly holds up until 2002, when the US discovers that North Korea has secretly been enriching uranium for nuclear weapons. By the end of that year, Kim Jong Il kicks out all international inspectors. On January 10, 2003, North Korea officially withdraws from the 1985 nonproliferation treaty. What: Six-Party Talks
When: September 19, 2005
What happened? After several rounds of intense talks with South Korea, China, Japan, the US, and Russia, North Korea pledges to abandon “all nuclear weapons and existing nuclear programs.” The US and North Korea can’t agree on verification details, though, leading to increased hostilities. What: Six-Party Talks (Again)
When: October 3, 2007
What happened? In a joint statement, North Korea agrees to declare all of its nuclear programs, shut down those affiliated with its weapons program, and not to transfer “nuclear materials, technology, or know-how.” Once again, stakeholders can’t agree on a verification process. What: US Agreement
When: February 29, 2012
What happened? North Korea agrees to suspend nuclear tests and uranium enrichment, and said it will allow inspectors, in exchange for food aid. Two weeks later, North Korea announces plans to launch a satellite, which immediately unwinds the deal. It's the US's OWN intelligence services that are saying the KJU isn't doing anything and is actually increasing his nuclear capabilities but you just go ahead and keep drinking the Kool-Aid and think your boy Trump is going to be able to something that no one else has managed to do in decades because, you know, he's just soooooooooo good at this stuff.

And your BBC report also states
"None of that activity is in violation of any agreements made at the Singapore summit between US President Donald Trump and North Korean leader Kim Jong-un," explains Vipin Narang, MIT professor for political science and specialist on nuclear proliferation."This was never going to be unilateral and immediate," says Mr Narang. "So Kim Jong-un is free to continue operating the existing sites."
Also in the same BBC report:
'Yet the reports that the North is continuing its nuclear activity is still seen as undermining the spirit of the summit and casts doubt on Pyongyang's sincerity to denuclearise. "The bigger picture here is that North Korea's nuclear programme continues as directed by Kim Jong-un in his speech in January, where he urged the continued production of warheads and ballistic missiles," explains Ankit Panda, editor at The Diplomat magazine.
In a scenario you might understand, if you knew your house was going to be demolished would you go ahead with building the kitchen extension?
KJU has no intention of giving up his nukes and is playing Trump for the fool he is. The 'Great Negotiator' has legitimised a dictatorship, given KJU publicity on the world stage and increased his standing in the region, and for what? So that Trump can finally get a 'win' with a misguided foreign policy that has seen him alienate traditional allies, insult world international organisations and back-track on previous administrations deals in favour of legitimising despots and pariah states.
The man is an idiot and if we are not careful he's going to get the whole world into something that we will all regret.

But Boon me ol' Trumper fan, these people you refer to trying to 'nullify the 2016 election' are his OWN people!
We don't know who is talking to the NY Times but we do know they are part of Trump's administration and by Bannons own thoughts, the others are REPUBLICAN establishment.
This 'deep state' nonsense smacks of conspiracy theories and 'tin-foil hat brigade' but there are obviously plenty of Republicans (and probably all of the Democrats) who have a real problem with Trump primarily because of how he is conducting himself as POTUS but also the damage he is doing to the Republican party. Now you can certainly say they are all undermining him but hasn't Trump brought this on himself with all the craziness that is now associated with the White House?
You obviously think it's all their fault but doesn't it actually mean that for once they might be putting country before party and finally saying enough is enough, there's just too much damage being done for us to keep ignoring this.

A womaniser like Kennedy and Clinton, someone that racks up trillions of debt like Obama, or someone that starts wars based on erroneous information like Bush? Or perhaps, someone that was just not very good, like Carter.
Back to the OP; Sessions must know that he's gone as soon as the elections are over. He should retain whatever dignity he has left by resigning now. He's been worse than bad, given he recused himself almost the moment he walked in the door. Even a bad AG can support his boss against internal foes, but Sessions just hasn't been there at all while Trump has been attacked from all sides. Perhaps he was a Trojan horse.
Yet more deflection from one of Trumps biggest fans here on T.V.
So the biggest insults you can throw at Kennedy and Clinton is that they were womanisers.... which is a bit rich considering who you are defending.
Obama racks up trillions in debt.....you mean after inheriting the worst financial crisis since the Great Depression; the Bush tax cuts that severely reduced tax receipts and wars in Afghanistan and Iraq? Considering Trump has already added a $trillion to the national debt just since he has been in office and this is expected to climb dramatically over the years - just so he can give the rich a tax break they don't need or deserve - then this is a spurious argument at best, downright ridiculous at worst.
But hey, at least we agree on Bush..... another clueless Republican.
And on your final point....it's now all Sessions fault that he is now doing the job he was hired for? First of all this was Trumps hire and as AG his job is to represent the United States (not the president) in legal matters. Trump is just bitter that he recused himself from the Mueller investigation and is now doing the job he was hired for rather than the what Trump wants him to do. Trump has struggled from the beginning with the idea that he is not CEO of America Corp. but rather part of a mechanism governed by the rule of law. He would rather America was an autocracy and himself the Dictator and Chief but the rule of law will not bend to his derangement and he's getting more frustrated as time goes on.
And if you think that funneling money to the rich, demonising immigrants, discriminating against the LGBT community, trying to take healthcare from the needy, encouraging hate groups and throwing your own intelligence services under the bus in favour of foreign powers is what the US is all about, then it's not just your Beloved Leader that's the problem, it's you as well.

LOL> not a Trumper, just a citizen from another country that looks at things that happen in the US more objectively, unlike people like you who are so emotionally charged you can't think straight.
From the outside, McCain is just another old politician that did what all people do when they get old - die. He's was 81and had a privileged life. Good and bad politicians die every day in other countries, without all the circus and fanfare that you folk enjoy so much.
Taken as a singular event then of course it would be fairly inconsequential but it's not a singular event is it? This is the latest in a stream of incidents that highlight the issue with this man as president and is likely to not be the last.
The McCain 'no-invite' just demonstrates again what Trump fans don't want to admit which is the man has no decorum, no filter and definitely has no class.
You don't need to be 'emotionally charged' to recognise this. You just have to have eyes and ears.

So Trump, a sitting president, doesn’t get invited to a state funeral but that’s somehow McCains fault?
So was it also Barbara Bushs fault that he wasn’t welcome at that funeral either?
Trump has dragged the presidency down to its lowest level ever with his puerile insults and gutter politics yet he is never to blame in the blinkered eyes of you Trumpers. It’s always someone else’s fault, always the “elite” out to ostracize him.

The point is that the girl from staff at current employer told the lady from staff of the new employer that Samut Prakan Immigration office will cancel current extension of stay only after the current work permit is cancelled. If so, there maybe a gap of 1 or more days between the two work permits. Is it ok to have this gap? I can't trust this information fully though, I think the girl from staff at current employers' is inexperienced (works less than 1 year there) and might have misunderstood something. But in order to double check this information I have to go to Samut Prakan Immigration personally (and it's quite far from where I live).
Although ubonjoe has told you correctly i.e. there should be no gap between permits if done correctly, I have had situations where there has been a gap and there hasn't been any problems as long as it isn't too long a gap. 1 or 2 days should be ok but as ubonjoe says, if done correctly there shouldn't be a gap.

10 hours ago, uncleeagle said:He didnt express a 50s view and it isnt true that women are biased because of male oppression or being told they cant do X but they can do Y. The same biases exist in countries such as Sweden which have been pushing hard line gender equality and opportunity for decades. His view simply reflected known and accepted scientific fact that biological differences exist and men and women do not make the same choices.
He was fired for stating accepted scientific fact...science of the 2000s not the 1950s.
You seem to be somewhat obsessed by this one person despite the fact that Google employs 85,000 people.... but I'll answer yours and this guy's obvious gender bias.
The real truth is there is no scientific reasoning or fact to back up your or this idiots bias with the closest you will get being either nature v nurture (women are pigeon-holed more easily through nurture) or physical (we all accept that women cannot physically perform the same as men). There is no basis in science to say that women cannot do what men can do cerebrally. The engineer in question wrote a 10 page memo arguing that 'The distribution of preferences and abilities of men and women differ in part due to biological causes... " He was then sacked because this went against Google's code of conduct by "advancing incorrect assumptions about gender". Now if you can produce a peer reviewed science paper confirming this guys bias then I'll gladly take this all back but with the exception of spatial awareness, you will find nothing that says men perform better than women in any cerebral capacity.
Getting back to the topic of this discussion though.
Whilst doing a bit of research to counter-argue your points I Googled 'Googles sacks employee' and despite this being controversial for Google the search results came up with literally pages upon pages of results. If you then want to follow this to it's logical conclusion, Trump's moan that Google is manipulating it's search results to reflect badly on himself and stifle right wing commentary doesn't pass muster as wouldn't they start this supposed censoring by getting rid of less than complimentary articles about themselves? You can test this with other searches too. Try:
'Google a terrible place to work' or 'I hate Google' or anything derogatory against them. The results still come up because there is no bias. The reason Trump gets such bad results is simply because most people hate him. And Google records that and gives you an accurate result.
It's that simple.

First of all the Google guy did not say women were unsuited to engineering, why dont you read what he actually wrote instead of quoting some garbage that deliberately misquoted him and twisted what he actually did say. What he actually said was biological differences exist and that they may slightly bias men and women towards different subjects. He was scientifically correct, logical and reasonable in what he said.
As for the similarity to Nazi burning of books...Nazis burned books that contained metarial they didnt like...Google censors and fired people for saying things they dont like...you seriously cant see the similarity? Wow, talk about small mindedness....streeeeuuuthhhh.....
So let’s start here:
“What he actually said was biological differences exist and that they may slightly bias men and women towards different subjects. He was scientifically correct, logical and reasonable in what he said.”
The only reason wonem are “biased towards a different subject” is because men have told them they can’t excel in anything (other than child rearing) since time immemorial. However academic studies have shown for decades that women can and do, out perform men in the classroom. It them comes down to timing. Women have a biological clock that makes producing babies after 35 SUPER difficult. In other words you cant have both career and family particularly easily. Never an issue for men.
Secondly, If he worked for me I’d have sacked him as long time ago. More for voicing a very obviously 1950,s opion than anything clever. All companies have to portray moving forward. It’s good business sense and right to do. If you want to publicly go against a world philosophy then you might as well say you hate handicaps, old people, blacks, gays and Jews. It’s the same.
As for the rest of your posts based on free speech. You may have a poInt.
Its a difficult dividing line. What becomes taboo and what is considered inciting of hatred. Do we allow obvious contentious “shock jocks” like Alex Jones to spew their obvious nonsense when that nonsense starts to invite violence? When innocent people can and have been harmed? Or do we always side on the side of free speech and however repulsive your views are, they have to be heard?
I’ve thought long and hard on this and I reckon that if someone is being harmed by these words then you have to suspend your self righteousness and protect the person. No one allows ISIS to spout their nonsense- as I’m sure you would agree- so they rightly get stopped for the harm it can do others. I see no difference.
The line however is VERY worrying and can be easily manipulated. Trump is a no brainer but other legitimate voices can be silenced through “national security” and other political bias as we have seen in Thailand for example.
The genies is out the box for sure. Hopefully sane minds will prevail.

Trump directs FBI to declassify information related to Russia investigation
in World News
Posted
Nice try Becker but you are never going to get the likes of Nyezhov, Boon Mee and the likes to ever admit they are wrong. They come on this forum defending their beloved Trump and when they get proven time and time again to be full of it they just wait for the next Trump story (daily obviously) in the vain hope of getting some morsel of good information to corroborate their deep state, libtards and the biased MSM narrative.
This story is obviously another example of Trump's willingness to abuse his power on almost a daily basis. The obvious red line that this crosses puts the FBI and the justice department in an impossible situation wherein an ongoing investigation into a sitting president is put in jeopardy by the very same sitting President. I've said it before and I will say it again, Trump believes he is above the law and has consistently done everything he can to confuse and misdirect this investigation. He has changed his story so many times I'm getting dizzy but truth will be out and I am confident that the worse president EVER will soon be just a bad footnote in history.
