  1. it's a matter of taste, nothing beats sweet breaky. Tucking in freshly baked, filled "pastarella" and creamy hot cappuccino at a caffe bar :D

    post-7932-1228123428_thumb.jpg

To be honest that looks disgusting and terrible for your health.how much sugar would you put in the cup.

Same as the usa brekkie, them flapjacks with syrup, feel sick thinking about it.Wont mention about the huge obese problems in America

I totally agree, nothing more healthy than eating a Thai breakfast on the way to the office consisting of deep fried dough and greasy pork or chicken. :o

  2. bad, bad day at the office that. and rafa still puzzles the fuc_k out of me sometimes.

long way to go yet though.

don't want to say I told you so, but I did warn of the 'late game draws' this year. Trend continues.

  3. You mean that place out near the old airport?

Anyways, the best Sunday brunch buffets are Sukhothai and Marriot Riverside.

bkkjames, do you recon that the Sunday buffet at Marriott Riverside is better than the JW Marriott buffet or same-same?

    Robert

marriot riverside, do a quick search on here for an old thread on this topics with pics, aroi!

  4. And your point being?

Berbatov has only scored against West Brom, Stoke and Middlesborough in the Prem League. He hasn't scored against LP, Chelsea, Arsenal, Villa, Vity, Hull etc. etc.

    :o

    torpedoes james' argument somewhat.

normally i would include champions league goals in there but not really a fair debate considering the two teams we are talking about. Need to give BJ a chance, afterall he is from Manchester (albeit the wrong side) and not Liverpool. :D

No worries James, you can throw the Champions League ones in as well. Berbatov's goals still only adds up to about 50% of what robinho has scored :D

    :D

You can remove Chelsea from your list :D

  5. I tell you what, when i saw the starting Line Up's for both Teams i thought Chelsea were definately gon aget something there

& i thought Man Ure's was not weak, but not full strength obviously..

There was nothing for me to think otherwise in the first half hour when i fell asleep on the Sofa..

Problem at the Bridge me thinks..

I did that in the wigan totteham game but watched most of the 2nd half and of course missed the only goal - was it good?

  6. It was very cold 3 days in a row.

I remember one scientist saying on tv there might be snow in Thailand this year around Chinese New Year and Bangkok might be flooded (I forgot when it might be flooded). After that the poor guy was sued for how much I forgot but a ridiculous amount of money for making public worry.

He was actually sued for doing the job of a weatherman, not predicting snow and floods I believe. Only qualified meteorologists can predict the weather ya know. You need 8 years of uni and two degrees to look outside and guess whether or not the weather will be sunny or cloudy. :o

  7. Don't be shy to have "special of the day" while you are refining & expanding your menu.

In this way you can see what works & what doesn't.

    Wishing you all success Jorge.

As I told you the first time the taste of your food is "authentic" - not tex mex for sure & that is why I like it. If I want tex mex I will go to Taco Bell.

DC, when you go to Taco Bell can you get me 3 soft tacos and a side of those little tater tot things. Thanks

  8. After living in Thailand for years my body has acclimatised and I am now "kee na", as the locals say( I feel the cold).

It has been very cold here in Khon Kaen and up in Poo Gradeung(Loei).

    I have 3 tips:-

    1) Keep your waist/lower back well covered. I learned this in a temple in the Himalaya. I got strange looks from the Thais.

    2) Keep your head covered.

    3) Layers are better than thick. I wore 5 t-shirts while others wore one sweatshirt.

    Do you have any more?

    4) Find yourself a nice warm companion. (dog, cat or komodo dragon)

  9. hey comeback and play!!! :o

ok. I don't have alot of sympathy for row after row of little shops selling outdated mama noodles and soft drinks losing business to 711's or hypermarkets.

funny thing happens when you give people a choice - they usually go for the one that is better.

competition is an interesting concept for those who fear it.

  10. Nice to receive plaudits instead of the usual balls about 'kicking them off the park' . . cheers all! :D

I guess we could put another nose out of joint next on Saturday at Chelski!

Sure our away form so far ain't been anything to write home about but all being we'll not only have Beattie in the squad but fingers crossed another attacking midfielder and maybe even a full back. Adding to this there Home form ain't great and currently they seem be struggling so probably the best time to make the visit.

Beating Arsenal and drawing twice with Liverpool then taking points off Chelski on Sat I think we can say we'll of made some impression on the eventual winners of the title! :D Pity we couldn't of held on for a point v Manure the other week but the ref was never going to allow that to happen. :o:wai:

We owe Chelski for the 0-2 defeat at the Britannia - at 0-1 down we were all over them but gifted them a stupid second goal through some comedy defending and it completely knocked the stuffing out of us. Also this time Delap will be fit - at the Britannia they were spared as he picked up a knock the day before.

    1st away win of the season on Sat'day . . . I BELIEVE!!!!!! :D :D

Just let Deco and Lampard keep giving the ball to Drogba and you should be alright.

  11. Scoozi is ok.

New York Pizza in Nana is terrible. The sauce tastes like Ketchup.

    Basilicco is very delicous.

Bella Napoli has better pasta than pizza.

    Absolute Bar has good pizza.

Duhlios was so dry...like a cracker. Awful flavor.

The absolute worst pizza I ever had in my life was Ronnys on soi 4 in Nana. It tasted like cardboard with ketchup and insect repellent. The first bite made me want to puke.

Pizza Mama is very good if you get it with extracheese.

Bangkok Pizza on soi 24/1 has closed.

Marias Pizza on Silom Road near the Holiday Inn is the best in BKK. Limoncello sauce has no Italian spices and was very bland.

I was a trained pizza chef for many years while in school. There is no excuse for making lousy pizza.

How much do you weigh? :o

  12. I don't really understand all the comments on this thread. Maybe I am being naive? Hannah tells us about this guy, GirlX sort of backs it up but says he's kind of 'harmless' and she has regular 'chit chats' with him. Other women have apparently been drugged by him?

Can someone give a more accurate description than the hat? What nationality? Accent?

And I have to say I abhore people like Britmaveric who say just walk away - just because you are an over confident male and comfortable in your own body doesn't mean that all others have your fortune Brit.

you obviously haven't met Britmav (sorry, BM, kidding kidding :o )

  14. Best performance of the year...period.

We are only 11 days in :o , but I know what you mean. Totally outplayed Chelsea. Funny, quiet in here today, none of the usual lurkers.

Figure I am covered either way :D As for the other lurkers (assuming you mean the LP crowd), not the result they were hoping for.

  15. Last night's game was the example of what Berbatov brings and I am not talking about his delightful tap in from CR's bullet to the box.

At least 5 times in the match he was instrumental in setting up scoring chances, both NV and WR's goals come to mind.

Usually after a game you can look to your team and say "such and such didn't have a good one" but honestly I can't point to one player on our team that was anything but very good overall. Hope it keeps up.

  16. I thought the Stokies were great last night & played the best way they could & were successful in executing the only way for Teams like Stoke to get anything out of the Top 4, & that's " Get up em " !!

    Didn't stop for a moment & a great point..

Agree with the talk about Hull, i called it a while back but my head said they had too many points already to get relegated but 6 Games on, i'm not so sure..

    Good job Stoke!

  17. why do they call u guys carpet sellers then? that's what we call ragheads, but i digress...

as for Robinho, i did a little searching on the net, over 2/3rds of his goals this year came againt Stoke, Newcastle, Ports and Blackburn, Hull, unsurprisingly only one goal against LP, Chel or Manu.

you've got too much time on your hands boy.

stevie, i juggle this and work too, which begs the question...why do you have so much time on your hands?

  18. what did he get, 4 against one team, 2 against another and 2 more. how many wins does s*ity have?

What's up Raghead, don't you like the facts?

Raghead, a bit harsh but with my hairline it might be something to consider. as for the facts ok... the championship is closer to having the two richest owners in football than the EPL.

Let me enlighten you on a bit of banter that City fans have with United fans as i know you've never actually been to a match. :o

RAG means Red Arrogant Gits, it's an endearing term that we use to describe you lot. :D
