I can't find the right forum so as I'm in Pattaya now I will post it here So here goes , I look on this Agoda today for a room ,I find a room for 889baht ...it's in a guesthouse I turn up at the guest house owned by Thai people I noticed on my Qantas Pay card app there are not one 889 baht but two transactions I immediately message Agoda ,a robot tells me the booking is non refundable, it's double booked me I said back It hangs up my message I go to see the Thai owners downstairs, I tell them are 2 transaction in my Qantas pay card ,they say we can't do anything you must contact Agoda !! He said I must of pressed the Agoda button twice creating two bookings !!! I tell them I will have to contact Qantas pay card ? Buts it's a number in Australia So I paid ,2 times for one room !!!! Can someone tell me what do you do ??? I have no idea ,will I get that second transaction back ,how do I do this with the card Qantas ?? Do I need to go to my local Member of Parliament when I get back to Australia? I'm thinking of phoning the Australian police on Agoda !!

I worked out this week I would have to change personalities if I was going to retire here in Pattaya in particular. The "phasing " in of change happens after a few days of your personality where you have to be mentally stronger to survive in this urban jungle I will give you a few examples I go into a 711 unlike Australia people particularly from a indian background don't wait in line and push in front of you ( oh please don't be racist there's no need to mention nationality please !) So here I am waiting more than 5 minutes in line holding bottles of water next to be served when a indian young girl and her I presume indian bf just walk past me to the counter I immediately said my favourite saying *not this little black duck ! "Hey I'm next " and with that the girl replied "we think it's ok 'she said I laughed in her face "not this little black duck sweetheart !!!" I said They immediately went behind me (in front of an old farang man who said nuthin) So here unlike Australia I have to become mean George ,nasty George! Confidence, eyes out ! Another saying I like and I have screenshot it to put it as wallpaper on my phone is "what do I get out of it " !?? Yesterday morning I'm staying in a farang hotel in Pattaya,paid cash to this 8 bedroom or 6 bedroom hotel ( oh who cares about rooms) Anyway check out is 12pm right The farang owner knocks on my door "George ,George I need you to vacate this room by 9am I have a regular farang coming from Bangkok and he is arriving early ,he needs the room I look at him , "so what do I get out of it "?? showing him my phone's screenshot He thinks I'm joking and laughs ,he said I have another room I can move you into if you want to stay another night but it has no balcony " I said"I'm leaving today ! He said, "can you leave by 9am ,Old Frank is arriving and he asked if you could vacate the room so he can go in" I looked at him straight in the face and said "tell old Frank Not this little black duck ! What am I getting out of it ? you see how I used two of my favourite sayings in one sentence to him , I sat in the room waiting to the minute of 12pm before I walked downstairs , I saw old Frank with his walking stick sitting in the bar downstairs,with luggage bag nearby looking at me angry ,I smiled as I walked past both the owner and Frank ,I felt like I stood up to myself and proud I was tempted to say my 2 sayings again to him but they both didn't talk to me So you see ,living here you have to CHANGE.its not Kansas Dorothy ,here people will use you & abuse you if you let them.walk over you like a bitch , stamp on you You have to grow a set of balls More examples and please stop interrupting me ,dont be rude And how do you like this one I'm sitting in a beer bar ,watching people going past ,relaxing enjoying the lower class of people watching .....when a Thai waiter asks me to move my drinks etc to the back away from the front Why ? Why ? You may ask ...a regular customer always sits there Oh ? I said ,so I must leave the front table and go sit in the back to let whatever the guys name is sit in my seat so...he can people watch and I have to stare at the wall ? WHAT DO I GET OUT OF IT ? I showed the farang the screenshot of one of my sayings couldn't show the Thai waitress she would have no idea what it meant Is he going to pay for my drink ? NO ? Give me absolutely nothing , probably wouldn't even say thankyou I immediately got my phone out to him and showed him the wallpaper NOT THIS LITTLE BLACK DUCK !!! "

Unfortunately it is ,I couldn't get a seat in the Fraser sports bar at 12pm today , more busier than I ever seen Pattaya ,maybe it's still high season

I did last March and loved it Travelled on the train got off at Abdo Santos ,all very helpful railway staff Place is full of guards and police everywhere Would I walk through Alice Springs at night in Australia at night? Definitely not

I went to another Sports bar today , actually two The first one seemed to a open bar in Jomtien main road opp the Country bar ,I left immediately after looking around to see old men on walking sticks watching the tv screen full of Lawn Bowls ! I then walked up to one called Frasers ? Looked great from the outside but as soon as I walked in the place was jam packed ,no seating ,I left

I worked out it gives people jobs I have been 3 times in 2 years Please try to walk some of the rural cities of Australia at night and you will see more violence than Manila

Yes !! Stumbled upon this sports bar by account I got a Bolt to one called Brewster's but the Bolt driver stops way before it So I get out of the Bolt and see sports bar thinking that's the one! I go inside this Dynamite sports bar and find out it's not the one I was supposed to go to,but I decided to stay ,the customer service was way above expectations There was an Australian guy who was very nice and played the Rugby league for me ,the staff were very nice. Thankyou for a great afternoon
