Depends where you are , I live in Sydney's City a inner city area a higher proportion of free doctors under Medicare World square medical clinic bulk bills Blood tests in Australia are free under Medicare

Thankyiu for your understanding,yes unfortunately there's many nasty people here who don't have sympathy for an old man like me forced to walk with a Zimmer frame up Jomtien hill because I can't afford a baht bus It's been 2 hours now I left Jomtien beach and I'm not even half way there into Pattaya yet . I went to Cheap Charlie's this morning in the Jomtien area hardly cheap but beautiful breakfast , Tried another one last week , Kiwi wombat lounge no butter, for my toast so I took the jam sachet with me to make up for it,will use it later myself .

I thought Ralfy you of all people would have sympathy for me . Having said that I'm not sure if you want to join me at the Sizzlers buffet in Pattaya I think it's around the 200 baht mark and we can bring our containers with us and sneak food in when they aren't watching

Your lucky ,I'm on $5 an hour as a janitor But getting back to expensive,some of the prices here in Thailand are horrendous compared to Australia T shirts ,shorts , luggage I can get cheaper in Australia I never use to be able to I used buy hundreds of t shirts once in Thailand Look I'm forced to go buy second hand at the Soi bukhao market for 40!baht which I will And now 1000 baht is practically $50 Australian I'm watching every penny !!!

Firstly , Australia forces it's citizens to do a 2 year resident before being able to go overseas ,so that's why you see many going back for their "2 year jail term" You also lose your rent assistance allowance etc if overseas But...unlike the UK the Australian system is Means tested so you aren't eligible for old age pension (67) if you have more that I think 200k,? in your bank account,so no use retiring at 67 with retirement savings you won't get the pension ,better to retire at 62 and SPEND it all before 67 if you want the pension !!!

That's because he is in Government housing . And on top of that the Rent assistance payment on his old age pension But it's Department of Housing so he is lucky to get it
