  1. Is that the guy now? The one I saw was a big guy 😯😯
  2. Your right ,the Rotary clubs were big 20 or so years ago , nowadays they don't seem to attract farangs
  3. I don't know if the word "successful" is what I'm looking for ,maybe it should be admiration Ok there is no need to name names ,but who your opinion is the most successful as a person in Pattaya in terms of achievement and helping others ,I don't know if that's the right word ,or is it admiration for a farang who assisted the community in doing what Just describe what you think is "successful" farang or business I'm not talking about someone financial or running 15 business's I'm talking about success in creating a better life for others even at a old age and creating things , I was just listening to a podcast of a British guy who at 65 retiring from his UK job decided to buy a wildlife park in Tasmania Australia, it went from a old ruined park to now a theme park ,that's success in life ,he wasnt doing it for money but to live his life to help Wildlife and create something! I admire from Canterbury tales bookshop in Pattaya , I think they did/do a "community service" by having books and creating a "social" type group club for many lonely farang especially their bookclub meetings etc ,that to me is success because it brings lonely people together Another was the muscle guy who used to feed the Soi dogs nightly , haven't seen him for years ,but that to me is someone I admire What about the old farang who used to clean the Jomtien beach every morning ? There should be a yearly Pattaya Community service award given I believe to someone who creates things for others
  4. I guess that made you more independent though in life and able to look after yourself
  5. This is mostly aimed at older guys but I was talking to a work colleague the other day whose father had just died of cancer He said he was sad but not overly devastated as when his mum died ,in fact hd was still going to work on the same day his dad died . When his mum died he had 3 months off work , Where is your mum & Dad now ? My parents would be near 100 now if they were alive It's funny how life goes so quick
  6. I don't think there is anything wrong with trying boxing at my age though It may give me more cardio workout I like to learn uppercuts ,jabs etc ,I'm not looking to obviously get hurt just learn the techniques
  7. Yes thanks guys ! I'm thinking now Krav Maga or boxing ,Kali , stick fighting or even knife fighting
  8. Now I have been doing bodybuilding/weights for years , I'm 62 but I'm still relatively fit doing gym sometimes twice a day now I'm getting bored with weights I want to learn some kind of fighting and will be going back to Pattaya next February for 8 weeks Last time I was there in September I just trained at the gym with weights no fighting stuff Apparently there is one called Rage or similar, who will take me for 8 weeks to learn ? I'm not really interested in Muay Thai ,I want to learn boxing and or BJJ Is there any boxing only or BJJ in Pattaya?
  9. I see this in Pattaya all the time , of course Bali ,Kuta is full of these drunken young farangs that's why I stay away from Bali But yes as Thailand becoming more popular because of its lax drug laws the young yobbo 's are coming to wreak havoc. Look I saw a drunk young guy tattoed one early morning up outside the Subway shop in Jomtien Laying in the gutter blubbering away ,his wallet was laying nearby so I quickly scooped it up and left the blubbering idiot to sober off .
  10. Best of luck to you Mike I hope you can get a few more years ,life is precious 💜
  11. The scary thing is , some of these guys are on Government Disability pensions from their home countries and allowed to live in Thailand whether they are from Australia or UK the thing is no one is monitoring their medication . They can be walking time bombs One guy from Australia was on a medication I have been told named "clozapine" which is a medication to treat paranoid schizophrenic when all other medications have failed It's very sad as they are running away from society only to end up much worse in Pattaya and usually it's alcohol but now weed is legal that seems to be the drug of choice
  12. Probably true especially in Pattaya
  13. You returned 5 years earlier , I think it was 65yo to get the OAP at those times ? Did you work between 60-65? What did you do for 5 years?
  14. I was a little gobsmacked to see a post in another thread of a farang from the UK mentioning he came to live in Thailand with his farang wife ...and ....it was in Pattaya ! 😯 what I want to know is ... And now this forum is not just a Thailand forum ....I'm picking all south east Asia How many of you live in Asia whether that be Bali , Cambodia Phillies Thailand Vietnam etc WITH your farang wife? I'm taking into consideration you guys who work in those countries and bring your wife ....but....I'm more interested in those who actually have retired permanently living in Asia with your farang wife Is there many of you ?
  15. I know I have problems, but it's going to be too late to stop If I stop the injections I will get tired and depressed I stopped once ,it's like a heroin addict hanging out for a injection Once you start this testereone there no going back ,I regret I really do
  16. I have posted this purposely in the Pattaya section as I relate this topic to Pattaya mostly Last time I was in Pattaya I saw a unwell thai & farang suffering Outside the Jomtien 711 I saw a homeless Thai young man walking around shouting to himself and I seen him for weeks Near the Nirun apartments I saw farangs ,one guy punching himself. I met a guy from Norway outside the family mart seemed in my opinion to have some sort of mental illness ,wearing black work shoes no socks and undies with no trousers ,drinking beer telling me I was too nice ,and wanting to shake my hand ,when I questioned him further he told me he was in a disability pension from Norway and it was 100k a month ,yeah right ! As he has Szpphrenia Now unless you have money AND want treatment there seems to be any lacking in Pattaya I'm seeing a increase in mental illness in Pattaya ,and I must say some yes some can be dangerous,if they have paranoid delusional etc then I would hate to be living in the same Condo building as them There seems to be no mental health facilities in Pattaya
  17. And opposite can cause same effects , my tits started to grow , I had lethargy, I had to cut down ,my doctor told me to stop the testereone injection, prostate enlargement can lead to cancer he said yesterday Blood pressure going down with medication Now slow peeing for some reason , probably prostate I have now 250ml injection monthly ,I will see how it goes I'm addicted to it ,I need that pump in the gym , I would take more if I could but the anti estrogen medicine I would have to take which made me so tired , I just take the testereone sometimes I'm in a rage at the gym at 62 lifting heavy but it wears off after a few weeks I need more If I stop posting you will know I have had a heart attack like my friend did in Pattaya last December, he got his weight up so much ,too much testereone doing powerlifting, RIP D 💜
  18. Yes ,with me personally,I find getting that testereone injection makes me horny a few days after ,however no erection , the testicles are now also smaller. However a few weeks ,maybe 4 weeks I will get tired , lethargy and hang out for another injection I wish truly I never started this testereone injection
  19. Steroids? No, I'm 62 Even the testereone has done damage It shoots your blood pressure right up ready for heart attack or stroke which has just reminded me as I write this to take my newly prescribed Amlodipine blood pressure medication which is caused by testereone My BP went up to 180 after the injection My own GP in Australia has warned me to stop getting these testereone injections , he will prescribe stuff for the side effects but won't support me taking it I had to cut down my testereone to monthly as it can cause you opposite effects eg , growing breasts in which case you will need another medication called Anti Estrogen, which makes you heavy breathing out of breath side effects that's why you see powerlifters bodybuilders out of breath when being interviewed
  20. No not really, I find I get "morning wood" hard ons but after that you still need Viagra etc.
  21. Last I recall he owned a Pattaya newspaper or was it another media ? I think then he got into bar business? Then he announced, must be what.....6. -7 years ago he was going back to the UK with his Thai wife , I could be wrong but that's what I remember
  22. Yes unfortunately I'm a introvert, but some people like Kevin do go to these expats clubs meetings .....but Udon is not Pattaya! The expats would not be the same , ( my assumption)so you see Kevin turning up at a Isaan Expats Club meeting with his floral shirt , holding hands with his Thai boyfriend, the thing he doesn't do and I have spoke openly to him about is kiss his BF in public 👨‍❤️‍💋‍👨 I don't like that , I don't even like watching straight couples kiss in front of me !!! But my perception is ,unlike Pattaya expats is , Isaan Expats would be more "conservative" , is that the word? I remember him saying he went to a expat community in Duamagette Philippines and he bumped into American Bible thumping expats there !😂
  23. I was reading another Udon Thani forum a few years ago and the expats seemed to be a bit homophobic but I'm going back 20 years ago ,it's probably changed in Udon Thani nowadays I wonder if Isaan cities have gay farangs?
  24. Yes I'm thinking for a elderly farang friend. He is 73yo Australian planning to move permanently to Udon Thani with his 36yo Thai Australian Boyfriend Mostly every year they go to Pattaya Now he is very extroverted guy who joins community group and local expats groups but I told him ....and I could be wrong...but I told him..."mate in Udon Thani I believe the old expats there won't welcome you being a older gay man! just give me a rundown you expat older guys ,would someone like Kevin be welcome?
  25. I remember in the early 2000's every farang wanting to join the Pattaya volunteer tourist police Who remembers Howard who I think was leader and on a British TV documentary made about them And Colin the older guy from UK who was deputy I think Those were the days everyone wanted in ,so never hear much about them nowadays, has the novelty wore off ? In fact I didn't see any farangs in police uniform last visit ,are they still advertising for volunteers?
