  1. No thanks Have you ever watched Amagansett press on YouTube? Look at his last video last week where he takes a photo of the Sock shop only get to into a fight with not only the owner but passersby Of course he does it on purpose to get a reaction
  2. Depends what they're whinging about I guess Everytime I went to that Canterbury tales bookshop there was always a group of pommy farangs saying the same thing "The immigrant in the UK get free housing etc etc , whilst elderly have no electricity etc I could recite word for word what that were going to talk about before I got in there !
  3. I would be more interested in the "type" of people at that time especially on a weekend morning near disco 's bars that are closing etc 🥳 You probably get some happy drunks though wanting to be photographed 😂
  4. I noticed this is becoming common. Nowadays, Not many have laptops or desktops They seem to use iPads or phones Yesterday I offered to buy my nephew a laptop for his uni , no he said we don't use laptops anymore 😮
  5. Your one would be interesting, watching you sit at a desk typing on ASEAN all day ! You could do a commentary You could set up a bell type of sound when someone responds to your post and run across the room to the computer and shout " someone has responded !
  6. Love it 👍 May I ask do you ever get people who shout at you what are you filming for ? Or ask you if you are taking photos of them etc I say this because I watch these "audit" youtubers such as DJ and Amagansett press who purposely stand in a street and take pictures of people walking by hoping they get angry and then film them and say " Photography is not a crime !
  7. I noticed a lot of these influencers don't respond on their comment section I wonder if there's actually companys that provide that sort of service eg replying to messages for these big numbered influencers on Instagram and FB etc
  8. How many of you seriously have thought about starting a YouTube channel??? I bet a lot
  9. Im surprised you don't have a YouTube channel, you have been to many places & experiences that are interesting for all us who are leading mundane lives
  10. People copy social media Even in my gym young people are using the word "bro" They see this word on social media, the word "mate " is no longer used Generation Z the new one are learning by this tik tok and Instagram influencers by getting tribal tattoos, going to the gym ( to take selfies) and wearing red sneakers and carrying man bags around with them People need guidance so they watch these influencers on Instagram and start mimicking them
  11. The OP is absolutely right More people now seem to be in this meth )ice They can't cope with life especially this new generation They see these vloggers influencers in Facebook and Instagram with muscles and tribal tattoo travel the world drinking protein powder leading what looks like a exciting life only for themselves to go to work everyday in a office or factory so they become depressed one farang vlogger on YouTube from Phuket with his tribal tatts , etc was charging $300 an hour for his counselling, he has no qualifications except life experience and was booked out he said !!! They resort to alcohol and drugs ,same with these people at my workplace in their 60's who are locked into a marriage they hate ,do they stay at work to escape
  12. Just got me thinking as we get older and retired that we start our hobbies or interests that we put off over life. I noticed in posts there was a lot of photographers on here , seems to a majority, that's not something that interests me ,but what interested me is what they like to photograph. A poster on here rises in the early hours to take pics of "street life" in the early hours in Thailand. I had a Thai tourist visit me in Australia in 2011 we drive up to the Blue Mountains ,he wasn't interested in that ,he was interested in stopping near rural properties to take pics of......wait for it..... Their postal letterboxes !!!! I was just watching Steve Rosse old farang YouTuber who lives in Turtle Beach phuket , his hobby is making paper mache of......turtles and photography them , he mentions he once took a year after work every afternoon to photo every street sign in Arizona What is it with photography, vlogging ,selfies etc that interest you I'm thinking how immature but ..... especially a man of his age late 60's We all have a new weird interest...in photography, whether that be selfies etc I guess But this new generation are obsessed with vlogging and photography, even in the gym etc I just started doing boxing a few times a week to have my young nephew ask me if I had photos of the training ,like it's normal to start taking photos in a boxing gym Is anyone into this new "vlogging ? Not photos ,but where I see them walking around with the camera talking to themselves How much of this should we put up with before it invades our privacy ,some farang eg in Pattaya riding around on a push bike ....vlogging !! What about drone hobby ? Any interest, this drone hobby is taking off ,why ?
  13. I hope this doesn't sound weird ,but love to see pics at 2am in Udon Thani city on a weekend morning,
  14. The last time I went to Phuket was 2004 and I hated it . But lately I have been looking on YouTube to see the large amount of Muay Thai boxing I have been taking a interest in fighting sports lately and appears this "fitness street" in Phuket is the one . However yes however watching a YouTube video a young lady from Canada said to stay away from a certain one as they have "meathead" guys ( customers) there who are just wanting to hurt other people and the trainers dont seem to care . She was only there a week and they had her sparring and she got hurt and stap infection along with another newbie who apparently cut his eye retina What's the best way for myself a 62yo fit to learn Muay Thai in Phuket ,you think personal training would be better ? I don't want to end up getting major hurt
  15. A psychologist would say it's never happened, that you are "catasphrizing" something that there's no "evidence" for ,unless of course it's happened in that area before. I would take the risk and walk a little each day outside the temple grounds to see if it does happen, The major risk though is the street dogs !! Report back to us
  16. Only older Aussies will get that joke
  17. 4am? On a Sunday ?? What do you take photos of?
  18. I have been taking protein powder for many years as I have been lifting weights I come to the conclusion lately it hasn't been doing anything for me except put weight on !!!! Even the specialist doctor I saw in Australia told me the same ,he was a endocrinologist , why you taking these chemicals he asked Just eat eggs and meat he said Your weight is high because of these protein milkshakes ! So do we as old men need protein powder ? What happens if we don't get it ? All the Instagram influencers going on about protein I'm just eating eggs etc I'm thinking this stuff is not only expensive but I'm keeping my weight high ?
  19. Amazingly I went to the gym 3 Sundays in a row in Pattaya , Jomtien gym and Tony's , no one there but me ! Massage shops , most full Beach area Road , central festival full Gyms ..no one
  20. A few months ago when I was in Pattaya I hated Sundays it was a weird day I went walking around that Central Festival area ,inside was packed with Thai families Anyway ended up at the back streets around soi bukhao I went into a massage shop it was full of farang laying on banana beds , no room The wag to Jomtien was busy What do you do on a Sunday? I don't care if your in Pattaya , Issan or Cebu , or Baguio or phomn Penh What's a Sunday like you for you in your city /town
  21. Does anyone else have that inclination to walk thru Udon Thani at 2am or just me?
  22. I know it may sound weird to some but as I'm entering that big age I like to put things on my bucket list to do or try . One of them to walk from Udon Thani railway station to the other side of the city walking at around 2 or 3 am on a weekend morning to see if I meet "interesting" people I always seem to attract the weirdo element whether I'm sitting in a park on a Sunday or walking thru a city street at night
  23. Sydney is relatively safe , just need to have situational awareness on who is coming towards you.
  24. Yes I wonder if Thailand particularly the Isaan region is succumbing to these new wave of drugs ice meth etc Is crime on the increase I wonder ? Haven't met anyone or saw on any forums farangs who have been a victim of crime in Isaan though ??
