CD carries a lot of designer luggage, I got Polo at 40% discount, watch for sales
  2. I fear for some of the divers. They are not using Scuba nor snorkel gear, have no dive vest. It appears they are using a single hose with small mouth regulator(?). Picture shows 4-5 divers using long tubes for air - back into the boat air pump(s) / where is air coming from at what pressure? How is air pressure regulated above surface, free from engine fumes, kinks? In a picture background there are several divers in full Scuba gear - no issue there but is there a qualified, permitted dive master overseeing the dive? I bet not.
  3. Nothing if planned for it. "Population Decline Will Change the World for the Better," May 4, 2023 https://www.scientificamerican.com "Shifting to a model based on degrowth and equity alongside lower fertility rates will help fight climate change and increase wealth and well-being immigration can help soften some of the demographic blows by bringing younger people into aging countries. managing consumption, prioritizing social and environmental welfare over profits, valuing cooperation and recognizing the need for a range of community-driven solutions However, a State with a tightly controlled nationalism may lose some of its character, or as it's called in Thailand -"thainess."
  4. CAAT is responding in a responsible manner. A resolution seems in the works and without government subsidies. Ultimately, if an airlines can't reach an agreement with CAAT on pricing, then lose its gates to one that can.
  5. If the pathway is deemed a public right-of-way, it should be the responsibility of the Province to assure safe public use. Whether that ROW must be a 24-hour ROW vs daylight only can be questioned.
  6. Yes that can be a problem but the photo doesn't show that issue. Vendors are not setup on the sidewalk or footpath but likely on a property owners' setback area adjacent to the public sidewalk right-of-way and probably pay rent to setup.
  7. Too much running can have increased risk of heart attack when scar tissue can build up in the heart muscle, leading to sudden death. "Running-related heart attacks," Jan. 8, 2020 https://www.samitivejhospitals.com So Jonas' heart attack may haven been caused by prolonged artery scar tissue buildup leading to a blocked artery.
  8. For other coverage see "The latest on the Ashton Asoke Condo saga" https://investbangkokproperty.com "... the development does NOT need to be demolished due to the revocation of the construction permit. ... the company must identify a parcel of land with a minimum width of 12 meters, dedicated to providing access to Asoke Road." It appears that money is no object to acquire such access given that 87% or 668 of its units have already transferred to property owners.
  9. If you are caught in Thailand as a passenger (only person aboard) during a Tesla self-driving road segment, will the AI chip be arrested?
  10. It's not unusual for police to "pile on" additional charges to get an accused to plea bargain. But that's not the case here. The Swiss citizen lied about the attack knowingly captured on video, lied about being the villa owner, rejected low bail, rejected making an apology, showed no remorse for his attack, and chose jail instead. He wants to go "hard" and the authorities appear to meet his challenge in return. Likely more charges will be brought regardless of whether they are fully investigated, coming with 10 to 20 years jail. Thai authorities do seem to prefer confessions. It will be interesting to see how supportive the Swiss embassy will be in his defence instead of just having him quickly deported.
  11. Robot ship meet pirate robot air and sea drones. Maybe not sail these robot ships beyond a nation's territorial waters.
  12. Thailand low-value bananas exports for import of Japanese high-value autos. That's why Japan's GDP per Capita is (2022) about $34,000 vs Thailand at about $7,000.
  13. In other words, 'This isn't about the government taking responsibility; it's about passing the responsibility to Bank of Thailand.'
  14. I'm sure it comes in waves, like when he travels he waves goodbye.
  15. Israel was first to use the F-35 in combat in 2018. As of 2023 Israel will have 75 F-35s. Financed by US aid.
  16. Read the 2017 Thailand Constitution (my bold) in selected parts relevant to 'whose country is Thailand' from constituteproject.com: "PREAMBLE May all Thai people unite in observing, protecting and upholding the Constitution of the Kingdom of Thailand in order to maintain the democratic regime of government and the sovereign power derived from the Thai people CHAPTER I. GENERAL PROVISIONS Section 3 Sovereign power belongs to the Thai people. Section 4 The Thai people shall enjoy equal protection under this Constitution." One might say that for foreigners in Thailand, rights afforded to them is a courtesy, not a privilege.
  17. Read the Thai Constitution (in part from constituteproject.com😞 I have use bold lettering to highlight parts relevant to whose country Thailand is. PREAMBLE May all Thai people unite in observing, protecting and upholding the Constitution of the Kingdom of Thailand in order to maintain the democratic regime of government and the sovereign power derived from the Thai people CHAPTER I. GENERAL PROVISIONS, Section 3 Sovereign power belongs to the Thai people. Section 4 Human dignity, rights, liberties and equality of the people shall be protected. 18. Where were you DG last year? "PM orders strict checks on Thai nominees facilitating foreign ..." Feb. 16, 2023 https://www.nationthailand.com Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha has instructed government agencies concerned to strictly check if any Thai tourism-related firms nationwide were nominees of foreigners
  19. Which I read in another article provides the basis for his visa.
  20. Getting trade deals through Free Trade Agreements (FTA) is a quick and legal s8mple way to increase exports that Thailand needs to jump start its GDP. A deal with the EU versus individual European nations (UK not being in the EU) should be very successful for Thailand with improved GDP results within a year. HOWEVER, FTA's do not come about without other economic consequences. Namely, as the party that initiates a FTA, Thailand will need to add a sweetner - Outgoing Foreign Direct Investment that incentives the foreign enterprises within the foreign country to set up the import supply chains. Traditionally, I have seen Thailand as being focused on only Incoming FDI's. More of an economic policy of "What can you for Thailand? That attitude has to change.
  21. An earlier article said that the steps that she was sitting on was claimed by the Swiss man to be part of his private villa property and so not public property. For that he kicked her. The doctor previously asked a nearby guard if it was okay to sit on the steps and the guard said 'yes.' She trusted he was correct. But further reporting said the Swiss man was not the property owner but a renter. According to a police investigation, the steps were encroaching on public property and removed.
  22. I read in a previous article that his visa is related to being an official in connection with his elephant sanctuary (like an NGO?), thus not a retirement visa. If his Sanctuary proves to be a fake, he should lose his visa.
