  1. So true. If he hadn't been born with a siver spoon up his derriere, he likely would have had a less than stellar career at McDonald's, ultimately working his way up to, perhaps, assistant manager. After retirement, a nice segue to door greeter at Wal-Mart.
  2. Don't I wish 'the American voters will decide'. The 'American voters' decided for Clinton in 2016, to the tune of 2.8 million more votes, not 'very tight' at all. A blowout. The EC, unfortunately for the country, 'decided' that election and we ended up with the worst presidency in US history. Almost happened again in 2020, when the blowout was 7 million votes more in favor of Biden. Again, not 'very tight' at all with the actual voters. If you want an actual 'tight' race, try Bush-Gore, with a less than 600,000 vote difference, in favor of Gore. Or Kennedy-Nixon, with less than 113,000 votes in favor of Kennedy.
  3. Duh. Of course he is laying the groundwork for his next Big Lie, that the 2024 election was also 'stolen' from him, never mind that Biden won 7 million more votes than him in 2020. He's nothing if not predictable. And, a loser, twice already, with the American voters.
  4. Somebody correct that headline. Delays are not looming. There have been delays from the get-go.
  5. Daddy/Ex-hubby died. Let's make some money.
  6. Thanks! I had no idea there was an actual book with that title. I was just having some fun, playing on his Art of the Deal.
  7. Not surprising, he did write the international bestseller, The Art of the Grift, so he certainly knows how to grift with the very best. His biggest grift by far, of course, is his Untruth Social.
  8. Nice to see the blue on an upward trajectory while the red is flatlining. Dead man walking.
  9. 'illustrious footsteps'--my cue to stop reading.
  10. Plenty of time until the election, and, meanwhile, what she is doing now is working. So fun watching Trump gnash his teeth to nubs. Let her get her sea legs but even then she should be the anti-Trump and be sparing with interviews. Less is more. Devote her time to winning the swing states.
  11. Not always. Gore almost won in 2000 with 48.4% of the vote vs. Bush's 47.9%. Had he carried Florida, with some of the after-election analyses of the Florida vote tally showing that he actually did, he would have won the EC and the election.
  12. Audrey Hepburn, Barbara Stanwyck, Katharine Hepburn, Bogart, Cary Grant.
  13. As others have noted, it's RFK. Stopped reading when I got to 'JFK'. If you're too befuddled to get the candidate's names correct . . .
  14. I've never read a bad one, either. Thanks for the Chris Carter recommendation.
  15. I have wonderful Thai in-laws and I welcome their visits. Spouse and I are just about finished with our new house, which will have more room for when family visits.
  16. I'm surprised he's still alive, as out of shape as he is. Massive heart attack waiting to happen.
  17. Yes, indeed. Top 3 spots. And, just wait until the Sealion 6 gets up and running. We were at a BYD dealer to take a test drive and there were 5 buyers ahead of us doing the same thing. Fortunately, the showroom had a very nice waiting area. The dealership was quite crowded with potential buyers, with a number also looking at the Atto 3, Seal, and the Dolphin.
  18. Too funny! Everything she mentioned, every single thing, Trump could care less about. He lives for the trivial, the unimportant. Instead of focusing on what's important, he spends his time thinking of new names to insult people with and new lies to tell, with, of course, massive grifting thrown in. Crowd sizes? Don't even think of telling Donald they are not important!
  19. Repairs could easily come to 120k, especially if there is water damage to contend with.
  20. Outrageous and criminally stupid behavior by Disney. Let's see . . . Should I pay a tiny $50,000 settlement, especially since someone died and I am likely guilty of their death, or should I try an insanely stupid, blatantly unfair tactic of using the fine print in a streaming agreement in an attempt to block the piddly $50,000? In favor? Maybe save $50,000, but no guarantee. Against? Millions of dollars in extremely bad publicity and, likely, a much larger settlement in the making. Reminder: David is the good guy, Goliath the bad guy. Not a good look for a family-focused company to always be the big, bad, bully. Did they not learn a single thing from the Scarlett Johansson fiasco?
  21. Unbelievable--especially after just booting MFP. No shame whatsoever.
  22. Spouse and I should have started in Pattaya rather than Rayong when we first moved to Thailand.
  23. Lately, I've been reading the novels of Christopher Reich, which I am enjoying, including a couple of series and a few standalones. Also have been reading the excellent Virgil Flowers detective series by John Sandford, who is famous for the highly popular 'Prey' novels. I've got the latest Daniel Silva downloaded and that's next on my reading list. This novelist has an excellent suspense series going with Israeli spy/art restorer Gabriel Allon as the main character. Happy reading.
