  1. Pulled over on the road shoulder? The driver side wheels are totally destroyed. It would appear this car was involved in an accident. The driver
  2. Bad cracks can lead to infected roots, which can cause bone loss. So you should get x-rays to check on this (dark shadows around the tooth. Been there done that! I had to have that rotten tooth removed and had an implant. Fistulas may occur in the gum near the tooth. This indicates the tooth is cracked and infected. Keep an eye out for that. I had one and ignored it after it cleared up. Not a good idea.
  3. This guy is literally an English professor lol Controversies and views Miller has gained attention not just for mainstream academic work but also for promoting controversial views and conspiracy-related claims, including: Questioning the official explanations of the September 11 attacks and affiliating with the 9/11 Truth movement. Asserting that U.S. elections (e.g., 2000, 2004, 2020) were rigged or “stolen." Raising skepticism or denial about events like the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting and spreading misinformation about COVID-19 vaccines and public health measures. Because of these views, his work and public statements have drawn significant criticism from journalists, academics, and fact-checking organizations.
  4. Thailand is a nanny state?..the OP has never been to Australia lol
  5. You can't get a gun licence based on protecting yourself and family in Australia. That's not a valid reason to have one by law. Anyone with a valid reason - farmers, sport shooters, etc, can get one. The guns used in Bondi were registered guns.
  6. The other thing with the crv diesel is its better to use premium diesel. It's euro 5 spec. But you can alternate with regular diesel b7 to save some money. The fuel economy or performance doesn't change much. btw just use PTT or Bangchak (leaf) premium diesel. It is euro 5. If you do many short trips the petrol version may be better. If you want really good comfort get a newish hybrid camry. 2wd diesel from facebook market place. low kms. mazda cx-5 also has a diesel version.
  7. I've had a crv diesel since 2019. Goes quite well despite the engine size. Overall fuel consumption has been 16 km/l (never reset the A meter, that's over 95K kms. 18-20km/l is easy on the highway. Very comfortable ride. No major issues if its looked after well. You can get it both in 2wd and 4wd versions....price I guess 600 to 800K now, depending on the year. Avoid the 2.4 as its quite heavy on fuel and it has a cvt also. The diesel is 9 speed auto (almost never uses the 9th gear). Check facebook marketplace.
  8. It took my $hitty previous school 20 years to opt in...many private schools pull this stunt. Yet they offered Thai teachers a provident fund!
  9. Why are these numbers different from the motorexpo website?
  10. CHATGPT's answer re: using dry ice ice to increase precipitation: Short answer up front: It’s not practical. Cloud-seeding with dry ice can sometimes increase precipitation locally, but to reduce PM2.5 across a country like Thailand you would need orders of magnitude of flights, dry ice, and suitable clouds — and even then removal would be incomplete and unreliable.
  11. Mine got flooded inside years back. Just took it to a detailer and got it fully cleaned out. Good as new. So its more to do with how the car was treated after being in water. And Im sure a LOT of cars in bkk have been in this situation. I remember a coworker who also got her vios flooded and never bothered to get the carpet cleaner. A nutter. She used to come to work for 2 month and the glass was always foggy lol Those are the cars to avoid. Just pull up the carpet.
  12. Where would police officers get such devices? The police department certainly dont give them out. Police (certainly new recruits) must buy their own uniforms, weapons and bullets also. Tasers are a speciality item here and only certain units have them.
  13. Try and get your kid into a top Thai school. Let us know how that goes.
  14. He thinks karma is on his side. Mant Thais think if thye are gonna die they are gonna die - and it's nothing to do with their behaviour. This is especially prevalent among the lowe educated masses.
  15. If correct, this is 100mmHg difference between systolic and diastolic. This is called thr pulse pressure and this value is abnormal. The OP needs to get this checked out asap.
  16. I think you'd be ok... In terms of aerial defences: Cambodia does have an air force, but: No fighters Very small, aging fleet of helicopters and transports No capacity for aerial combat or to challenge Thailand’s air power Thailand fields a modern, robust air arm capable of air dominance and aerial strike operations. 28 f-16's , 11 gripens. So in any conflict scenario—especially air conflict—Cambodia would be at a severe disadvantage relative to Thailand’s air force.
  17. selecting the correct colour of lights showm red, amber, green (using a remote control) brake reaction test peripheral vision depth perception. all tests are very easy and took no more than 10 mins in totaL make sure to book online, and do the "online traning" - videos to watch and answer a few questions. I was going to book the Nonthaburi office, but the earliest I could go was mid september. So i chose to use the Taling Chan office. It's very organised and quick. Make sure to have the correctr paperwork - copy of visa page and last stamp, medical certificate, Lette rof residence from immigration. I also have a work permit and they took a copy of that, though I dont think it was necessary as Im on a marriage extension.
  18. Go and check at the DLT. They should have her record in their system. My wife has a lifetime licence. We went to the DLT today to renew mine. She also got a plastic version of the lifetime licence today. She did not have the original with her, but she used her Thai ID. Her info was in their system.
  19. I renewed the 5 year car licence at Taling Chan office today - my licence had expired on Wednesday. Renewal is is almost 6 years from now (23 July 2574). Renew after it expires, not before. From testing to getting the licence was 25 mins. Overall, about an hour in total.
  20. Couple of questions. Can the "online test", after watching the videos, be done at any time prior to making an appointment to get the licence? Mine is due late July. I'm getting a new work permit shortly, though these apparently don't have the home address on them anymore (unlike my expired one). Also, what is the validity of the certificate of residence? Thanks..
  21. How was she not detected leaving Thailand, with a bag was loaded with weed no less?
  22. My mother gave up smoking years ago. It's too damn expensive.
  23. you might be surprised what the 'average Thai' earns. which is 40K a month in Bangkok and Nonthaburi. Increasing the national park rate from 20 to 40 baht would not hurt them one bit.
