This isn't comparable. Australia wants to remain disease free (as far as possible). Hence it is for environmental reasons. Thailand has just about every disease under the sun. In the OPs case, it is purely to protect local fruit growing industries.

I don't think they were testing the battery integrity in these tests. Was the electrical system actually running in these tests? Probably not. It would be intersting to know if these tests damaged the battery (I would expect the side imact tests would). Much less severe impacts in real life have damaged this battery beyond repair. A fire would be rare but would write the vehicle off.

Your results are on the low side, but are fine. My wife has similar blood pressure readings. I wish mine were as low as this! As your pressures are on the low side, don't expect too much variation. My pressures are higher and I get more variation than this. The only thing to be aware of is that your left and right arm measurements are not widely different, but yours look fine.

But that doesn't fix the overall problem. As soon as as the wind changes, the pollution changes. In theory, you could reduce pollution in Thailang by drastically reducing burning, but that's just a theory and I highly doubt anything will happen. Poor people who must work outside suffer the most. But it is not poor people making policy decisions on this (from their air filtered air conditioned rooms).

In some areas it maxxed out at 500. I think that must be the limit of their pollution meters. That's horrendous and I expect a lot of people to be attending hospitals there with respiratory issues. PM 2.5 is very dangerous at these concentrations and can cause chronic illness.

You can get health cover if you work at private school. It's possible, but the school has to want to do it (there is no law stating it must be done). Some teachers at my school recently got their health cover card (they need to selevt their chosen hospital from a list (some on the list were private hospitals as well). I opted out as I have better government cover via my wife (CSMBS - can use any government hospital). Not it took 20 years for the school to provide this (we have had accident cover for quite some time though).

For all intents and purposes, the pandemic is over in Thailand. I have noticed a small but significant decrease in masking in bKK shopping centers. Virtually noone is wearing maskes in tourist areas, without any problem evident. I haven't worn one in months, and am not wearing one while teaching now. Virtually all other asian/Thai teachers and students wear them in the classroom though. Peer group pressure seems to apply to both adults and children here alike. They are at more rish from pm2.5 pollution than anything else. They should buy masks that suit this purpose when outside.
