Lenovo Group Limited, is a Chinese-American multinational technology company specializing in designing, manufacturing, and marketing consumer electronics, personal computers, software, business solutions, and related services. The majority of ThinkPad computers since the 2005 acquisition of the brand by Lenovo have been made in Mexico, Slovakia, India and China.
  17. The top photo is from the Crelander's web site and not from ASUS/the seller!
  18. More lies! The picture you posted is a NoteN51SX notebook and not a laptop and was not available in 1990! IBM PS/2 Note N51SX (walshcomptech.com)
  19. Since IBM and many other sites say that IBM did not sell a single laptop until October 1992 I declare you the LIAR! Sources and Further Information Atkinson, Paul. 20. If it is a real IBM you could not possibly have bought it in 1990 as they did not sell ANY laptops of any kind until 1992!
  21. You changed/edited your post AFTER I called you out as a liar so I could not have noticed your so called retraction; There is a well know saying when you are caught out lying; When you are caught in a hole stop digging.!
  22. If you bought any IBM machine in 1990 it was NOT a laptop! Stop your lies!
  23. So your memory is better than IBM's? You claim to have bought something at a time when the manufacturer clearly states it was not in production! This is directly from the IBM Heritage web site " Introduced in 1992, the ThinkPad marked a turning point for both the image of IBM and the prospects of mobile computing. With a simple design evocative of a black cigar box, a signature cursor pointing device, a vivid display and unprecedented processing power, the ThinkPad won favor among a rapidly expanding market of business travelers and became the world’s most iconic notebook computer. IBM had been producing portable devices since the 1970s, yet for nearly two decades the company failed to achieve much success in the marketplace, partly due to its focus on desktop machines. Meanwhile, in the mid-’80s, an internal task force projected that laptops would outsell desktops by 1996. So in 1992, as part of the drive by CEO John Akers to create a more nimble company, IBM established a business unit called the Personal Computer Company, I did say earlier that I would be gentle and put your minor slip up down to faulty memory but when you state that you know better than IBM, the manufacturer, then I cannot, not that ever have anyway, trust or believe a single word that you ever print. PS; my nationality has nothing to do with this but your ego makes you think that your memory is greater that that of IBM What a laugh!!
  24. According to IBM (link attached below) you could not have bought a ThinkPad in 1990 as ; "Introduced in 1992, the ThinkPad marked a turning point for both the image of IBM and the prospects of mobile computing." ThinkPad | IBM I will be gentle and just say that your memory is 100% faulty on this occasion.
