  1. Depends if that includes mortgage debt. If it does then it's not a big figure. One years average salary?
  2. Looks like that was a very smart move. An EV caught fire on a ferry yesterday in the North Sea. The ferry was carrying 3000 cars (ony 25 EVs). Looks like all the cars and probably the ferry will be destroyed, plus sadly one death and several injuries. Insurance cost of that @ $100 million? The insurance industry will probably ban them all.
  3. For 2 months why not try a hotel. They will probably do a good deal in low season. No deposits.
  4. Yes agreed. As a guarantor is the debt secured against your property? If the guarantor doesn't pay up what can the company do? Any Court action would be better than death.
  5. Meanwhile Thailand promotes the use of cannabis.
  6. I haven't read all 4 pages but with an ATM card it would take 30-40 days to withdraw 800k. He didn't notice ?
  7. The Norwegian Ferry Company Havila Kystruten has recently banned all EVs coming aboard their ferries because of the risk of fire. And that's in a country with a very high percentage of EVs on the road.
  8. I would certainly move to deny her the rent, but he will probably lose his deposit.
  9. What he really means is that democracy in Thailand should be sacrified to keep the military in power.
  10. Those Krungsri rates are a bit pathetic, to tie money up for 2 years. I get 4.27% on a basic easy access account in the UK so it's not worth moving the money here.
  11. Saw an interesting documentary on Steptoe and Son last night. I didn't know Wilfred Brambell was an alcoholic, and homosexual.
  12. It's always a Merc. Because they can afford a German taxi they think they are above the law.
  13. Yes, it's nowhere near Jomtien. Will be zero foot traffic.
  14. The Smart Bus is great, even paying the 100 baht. Shame all airports don't have something similar (cough U-tapao).
  15. They don't need another coup. They have stiched up the election to stay in power.
  16. See other article this morning, looks like he will now. Plus there will be a few other minor parties to bring their numbers upto 260 or so.
  17. 1.5 - 1.8 million baht for a 214 mile range, no thanks
  18. Just PT, plus BJT and PPP gives them 252 seats in the lower house. Enough to form a majority Government without Move Forward,
  19. Talk about stabbing Pita, and Thailand, in the back. This is a new low even for Thai politicians.
  20. Just buy from WD. Anywhere else is a risk.
  21. So no details how he died? did he drown, attacked, drugs, surely they must know.
  22. The problem with Bangkok Bank is that the phone app requires you to set the daily limit for transfers in ranges starting at 50,000. So any transfers fall into this category and need a visit to the bank to set up.
