I have never had a TM30 in 15 years but just renewing my retirement visa extension in Pattaya the lady in IO said i needed one. No problem but a change of policy.
So nothing to do with the extra 1 TRILLION monopoly money the BoE printed and zero interest rates for 10 years. These clowns at the BoE are a joke. Buffoon Bailey's degree in history proves how much they know about economics.
But still a park with some green stuff. Thais just love to destroy trees and anything green. Is that the last park in Pattaya gone now? Please don't tell Pratamnack Hill is a park. They only left that because it's too steep to build on.
My 3BB service is via a fibre optic cable to the router in my condo (is there any other type?). Then from there you can use a cable to say a PC or wi-fi within the condo to any device. They are both very reliable but the wi-fi connections are slower, but still @ 400 mbps.
Digital books are so much easier. But having said that i am reading a real book now, Imperium by Robert Harris, excellent read, soon to be followed bu Lustrum.
Even if i move to the income method i would still want to keep a sizeable sum in the bank here, for emergencies. So the 400k, for 7 months, is not too bad. And, until recently, i get more interest than i would in a UK bank.
I used to go into Pattaya a lot, day and evening, but hardly ever go now. It's too traumtic to chance the roads on Second Road or Thapprasit. Happy to stay around Jomtien.
I was coming out of Friendship supermarket on Pattaya Tai the other day. There is a small hedge at the front of the property. I walked through the gap in the hedge and was nearly run over by a motorcyclist riding down the pavement. He was one of those Post Office guys with two big delivery bags either side. Must have been doing at least 30 kph.
