    The current expanded Jomtien beach is virtually unusable because a) there is no shade after they cut down all the trees and b) there is very little parking, for cars, on the narrow segment past The Now Hotel.

    Should be like Baen Saen. Parking at a 45 degree angle. Much easier to drive in/out rather than reverse parking into a gap.

    Fell 60 feet? Other reports say the second floor, 20 feet more likely. Or if it's Thai second floor 10 feet.

    What difference does it make what exchange rate you got 11 years ago? You will have to top up to 800k at whatever rate prevails at the time. It might drop further !!

    Do you have to give an agent your passport? No way i would do that.

    You only have to look at the number of bars open at 12.00 am with many bikes and cars parked outside. Half the road users must be <deleted>. Which is why i never drive late at night.

    Pratamnack is nice especially near the Sands there but the main problem is travel. You basically have to use a car/bike to get anywhere. I lived there for a month and it was a real PITA to get there and back.

    I had great problems getting my tgf to move her name from her previous tabien bahn to mine (where she now lives). The office at Pattaya said she not only needs the permission of the previous tabien bahn holder but for him to physically come to the office to do it. He was reluctant to do it so in the end we gave up. Hard to believe it's so difficult.
