    Part of the risk you take because you are too lazy to do it yourself. I wouldn't give my passport to anyone (except Immigration of course).

    I can't see the point of these big 300-350 scooters if most of your riding is around town. They are big, heavy and expensive for town but not upto the job for touring. An Aerox or Click/ADV 160 is more than sufficient in town. If you do alot of touring get a proper 500+cc bike.

    Plus all the stores at Rattankorn show their prices in Kg so you can check before you buy. Much cheaper than Big C. I would never buy fruit/vegetables in the big supermarkets.

    Are you down to your last 50k? Couldn't you have 800k in one bank and 50k (blocked) in another?

    The NHS has been a disaster in the UK so good luck having it world wide.

    So that's the last park in all of Pattaya gone. I used to like sitting there eating my cooked fish. And don't tell me that Pratamnack Hill is a park. They only reason that is still there is because it is too steep to build anything.

    I had 4000 baht stolen from my shorts on a baht bus. Wrote it off to experience. Not worth the time and effort going to the Police for that sort of amount.

    JonnyF - Either it's legal or it's not. It's like saying it's OK to own a gun so long as you keep in your house and not use it outside.

    I have sold quite a few s/h items on Bahtsold. Seems about the only site for selling s/h goods.

    It would help if the Government (including Anutin) gave a CLEAR decision on if cannabis can be sold. Half the shops in town seem to be advertising joints for sale.

    I just handed my passort in and sat in a seat in Soi 5 Immigration for ten minutes and paid nothing.

    The answer depends. Around town say Pattaya or Bangkok then an automatic is better. But on the open road or touring then of course gears.

    You have to walk and eat in Naklua as they destroyed the only available park to sit in.

    Pattaya has been full of tattooed guys for years. Another two won't matter.

    Thai employers simply wouldn't pay it. My tgf has had problems even getting a job paying the current 300 a day.

    My concern about charging on road trips is OK there might be a network but when you get there a) will it be working and b) will someone else be there using it.

    Isn't the main problem how you charge the battery if you live in a condo or apartment, which many people here do.
