  1. Or a joint account with x2 balance, 1.6mil
  2. Tell the landlord that you will meet him at the tax office to discuss it, 'cos sure as eggs is eggs he is not declaring the rental income ????
  3. Not drop below 400k "for remaining months"
  4. You forgot to mention that you need to prove that the 800k was transferred in from abroad. https://www.immigration.go.th/wp-content/uploads/2022/02/9.FOR-RETIREMENT-PURPOSES-50-YEARS-OLD-NON-O.pdf Para 5.3
  5. Strange, seems that the Thai Ministry of Foreign affairs is using the same brush. https://www.mfa.go.th/en/publicservice/questions-answers-on-thai-visa?cate=5d5bcb4e15e39c30600068d3 Obviously this information is VERY country specific,
  6. They were not "perfectly innocent", they were breaking the Playing Cards Act which states " a law in Thailand that prohibits individuals from owning more than 120 playing cards that have not been registered by the Excise Department.", that was the reason for the police raid.
  7. All depends if you are on the actual visa or an extension of stay. If you are on the visa still, then the plain answer is "no".
  8. Write a will, problems solved
  9. The notice of expulsion form is in Thai and English
  10. Just be aware that your re-entry permit is only good for the length of your "under consideration" period.
  11. But borders, unlike embassies, want to see cash, not bank statements.
  12. NOPE, not at all, because the crime that the customers commit is solicitation , not "being involved in prostitution".
  13. I can't find a single instance of refused under 12.9 Loads of 12.2 dating back at least 5 years
  14. That is what I said
  15. Actually Penang will have had his passport to affix his visa - so yes, they most certainly did have a record of his travel history.
  16. You fail to understand that the embassy is run by the MFA not immigration. Two totally seperate entities with their own set of rules
  17. Except that consulates (run by the MFA not Immigration) require funds to be in a bank account, and immigration requires funds to be in cash. The most cited reason for denial of entry is 12.2 Having no appropriate means of living following entrance into the Kingdom. There is a good chance the OP did not have the required 20k in cash on him, and was legitimately denied entry.
  18. Please stop spreading this myth/lie. The money can be in a joint account, the balance just needs to be doubled
  19. ALL? Visa on arrival is only for 19 nationalities FREE? A visa on arrival costs 2000 baht
  20. No they will not just issue you with a 7 day permission of stay, you have to ASK for it and PAY for it.
  21. The rules regarding keeping the 400k all year etc changed in 2021 !!! So YES the regs have changed since the OP joined!
  22. Incorrect, the proviso being that if it is a joint account then the balance needs to be double, 800k marriage or 1.6 mil for being over 50
  23. You need at least 15 days, (some offices require 15 working days), left on your current permission of stay to apply
