  1. I say it's also advisable to provide your partner with a blindfold and ear plugs as well because they say it can spread through the eyes and ears as well as the mouth and nose, therefore its better to take extra precautions, isn't that right honey.
  2. If one looks at graphs around the world, it typically takes off for a couple of months and then takes a nose dive. We can only hope that that is the case here, so lets continue to hope, say beginning September on the downward move.
  3. Sad for the mother, sad for the daughter, abuse in any form should not be tolerated, although I know in Thailand a lot of cops turn a blind eye.
  4. In situations like this, it's always best to negotiate it as it's a small amount and not worth the future hassle of going up with the Thai law system, e.g. lawyer costs etc......moving along is always best and putting it behind you, regardless who you think is at fault. In other words, you should thing of the future hassle, even if you won in court, the time spent would be better served on a bar stool watching the pretties.

  6. I heard they vaxed just about everyone there as well, but still spreading, interesting.

    Food

Just returned from Makro, Big C and Tesco, all good, apart from Makro being short on a couple of items. Time to stock up though.
  8. Not here. Edit: sorry forgot the link: https://www.lazada.sg/helpcenter/why-does-the-price-of-the-products-on-lazada-website-fluctuate-through-time-4424.html#:~:text=fluctuate through time%3F-,Why does the price of the products on Lazada website, when a promotional offer ends. Personally sounds like Lazada might be skimming, but who knows these days ?
  9. It amazes me how quick these cops can grab someone, oh that's right, grab someone, anyone before it's too late, we must tell them it's safe here in the LOS. I hope I am wrong and that this guy is not just a scape goat as I don't have confidence in the cops here. Will be gladly proven wrong and eat humble pie.
  10. You forgot to add, the pillion to be sitting/facing in the opposite direction ????
  11. Off to Makro tomorrow then, thanks for the heads up.
  12. I'm the one who has been sentenced, they told me where they were taking me, no choice., I just supply the means $'s and of course go along forcibly ????
  13. Any mention of the guys name and I know it's more BS. I look forward to Thailand getting ride of these clowns and returning us to better days.
  14. Yes, however this trip will be for the kids who haven't seen the snow. My days of skiing would be over, don't think the knees, let alone thighs and calve muscles would take it, as keen as I would be, I remember doing black diamond runs with mates from the moment they opened the chair lifts, till they closed them as the sun was going down, then have a shower, eat and go out on the front valley with the big bright lights and machines creating powder for those of us stupid enough, talk about exhausting times. I would be content catching the snow tube up to the valley and parking myself and the kids in the big pub, grabbing a kebab and a few cold ones, as expensive as they would be, including the trip, but it's a once in a lifetime for them before dad goes skiing higher up when the time comes, so it would be one of many more memories for them.
  15. Actually, just waiting to be vaxed, then I can book the big magic carpet for the family to go to the snow at Mount Perisher NSW Australia, i.e. if they lift the 14 days quarantine as well. As you can see, I don't dream, I plan and execute.
  16. If and when I do get this vaccination, i.e. I registered, I will do my utmost best to shame the Australian government for their part, or should I say, lack thereof, by donating $2.8 million to the Thai government towards their vaccination program, obviously with no auditing, so I am sure the Australian taxpayer will be upset to learn about that, i.e. the Australian government throwing their tax dollars into someone's pockets with no assistance from that so called donation towards Thailand's vaccination program not going towards any Aussies that I know of. So it was the yanks to the rescue, AUS 0 USA 1
  17. I used to bring in 12 months supply of my heart meds when I would go back to my country of birth. Always get a doctor's letter stating your condition and the meds you are prescribed. Do not take them out of the packets. I always carry mine with me on the plan, albeit it, I remove them from their packets and fold the packets neatly so they don't take up space, I also put an elastic around the tablets so as to keep them in neat piles, it helps creating space in the bag and then throw some clothes on top of them. Just walk casually but slowly with the crowd keeping an eye on who's being pulled over and just take a wide birth. I have done this a couple of times, no issues, and to be honest, only ever saw one lady pulled over.
  18. Good point which would be nice to know if that's how it works.
  19. We have them around, but have concrete floor, steel beams in the roof, so if you find same, it's ok as far as I am concerned, as I am also told that, the mounds could be used as a base as they travel far underground to eat and return ?
  20. Yes absolutely termites. As one of the above posters suggested, get the Queen, aroy muk muk.
  21. Registered 1 August, waiting. June, booked Moderna and paid for October, that was plan A. Plan B, is to hope for Pfizer and I will be content, however if it is AZ which I knocked back at the height of all of those deaths and blood clotting, I will now take my chances. If I do receive any of the above in plan B, I will seek to push Moderna back into next year, possibly as a booster, or watch my money go down the drain, but not really worried about it, it's the vax we all want right.
