Prayut To Be Held Accountable For His Deeds Over Last 9 Years: Pita
bamnutsak replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
An older article, APRIL 2, 2015, but definitely relevant....Pita is toast, unfortunately. And Prayuth is untouchable. Thai junta's opponents fret over plan to grant coup plotters amnesty BANGKOK (Reuters) - Under the new constitution being drawn up by a committee appointed by Thailand’s junta and tasked with protecting the country from “parliamentary dictatorship”, the architects of last year’s military coup would enjoy immunity from prosecution. https://www.reuters.com/article/uk-thailand-politics-constitution-idUKKBN0MT0NL20150402 -
Pattavikorn Nawamin Market 72 is generally recognized as the largest second hand market in Bangkok. There are others, a Google/Youtube search will offer additonal details. Very popular topic for Youtube vloggers.

"likely"? So landlords should have held out for legitimate businesses, and gentrification, in order to gain higher rents? The general consensus here is that no one patronizes these Cannabis shops, there are too many, so they will probably close quickly, and remain empty again, until "gentrification" arrives.

Residential market slows, new stimulus packages awaited

Pump and dump. followed by Dump and pump. -
Thank goodness for the President, who is obviously quite experienced with past republican efforts to shutdown/defund the government, being able to forge a solution. And kudos to McCarthy for working with the President. I wasn't worried as I was confident that Biden would guide us through this idiocy forced on the entire country by the rightwingnutjobs. But, phew anyway.

I see what you did there. Who is "they". You do realize there is currently a caretaker government, the same one which delisted Cannabis Flower. The first Parliamentary session is scheduled for 24 July. Maybe a PM by 3 August, and a cabinet 11 August. And surely Cannabis isn't a top 10 or 20 issue for a new government to deal with, is it? https://aseannow.com/topic/1295213-move-forward-party-to-submit-45-bills-for-amendments-and-new-laws/

Chuwit: Secret Coalition Deal Includes Thaksin’s Return
bamnutsak replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
At least he's not yapping about Cannabis. I can't see the "Senators" voting en masse for a "package deal" which includes the return of Thaksin. That's nuts. Not sure why this guy gets a pass on spreading fake news? -
Treatment for Epilepsy is one of the six (only) applications for Medical Cannabis. That would remain legal/available even int he unlikely event that Cannabis Flower is re-listed as a Narcotic. 2. Epilepsy that is difficult to treat and intractable epilepsy(10,11). The prescriber should be a neurological specialist. and have been trained in the use of cannabis extracts for the treatment of patients (3) • Used in difficult-to-treat epilepsy in children, including Dravet and Lennox-Gastaut Syndrome(10). • Epilepsy that is resistant to two or more drug treatments(3,11), if drug interactions are expected to occur Consider using cannabis products high in cannabidiol (CBD) (see Dosage and Administration section). • Physicians who care for epilepsy patients who meet criteria for difficult-to-treat epilepsy. The patient should be referred to a service facility. Tertiary health to see a specialist in neurology to assess and provide Continue treatment in case of (3) - Seizures that cannot be controlled with medication - Pediatric patients under 2 years of age - Epilepsy patients who are at risk or unable to tolerate the side effects of epilepsy treatment. - Have a mental disorder or have mental illnesses - There is doubt in the diagnosis of epileptic features. or epilepsy syndrome

There are a lot of "news" articles on Cannabis, mostly in the Thailand News section. These are 85% negative, 15% neutral. Can't remember a single article that was positive. Cannabis stories generate interest, and probably get more clicks than other stories. And negative stories really drive the passions on both sides. And you should see the propaganda on the Singaporean site Channel News Asia, where they talk about all the dead bodies showing up in Thailand with THC in their systems. Since its liberalisation, Smith, a member of Thailand’s Medical Council, has seen more dead bodies testing positive for traces of THC. The hospital where he works, Ramathibodi Hospital, has also seen more cases of cannabis intoxication. https://www.channelnewsasia.com/cna-insider/cannabis-flavoured-gummies-cbd-massages-thailand-singaporean-visitors-beware-3517596 Just wait until next week. As we approach the one year anniversary of de-listing on 9 June there will will be a gazillion "stories".

BLOOD ON HIS HANDS Survivors of Kissinger’s Secret War in Cambodia Reveal Unreported Mass Killings EXCERPTS FROM AN EXCLUSIVE ARCHIVE OF U.S. MILITARY DOCUMENTS COMPILED BY THE INTERCEPT https://theintercept.com/2023/05/23/henry-kissinger-cambodia-bombing-survivors/ Who knew Kissinger had his own recording set-up? https://theintercept.com/2023/05/23/kissinger-phone-call-transcripts/ Or that the Cambodian invasion was the result of Nixon being drunk and Kissinger handing it of the Ge. Haig. Oops. War-criming is so easy. Listen to the man himself. Some of these are painful to listen to so you're warned. https://nixontapes.org/hak.html

MFP reassures cannabis businesses amid plans to re-list as narcotic
bamnutsak replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
On-line sales are illegal. Do you leave your six year old daughter at home, alone? She deals with delivery drivers? That seems weird. -
So many sensitive types here. How does a sash take anything away from anyone? Where does it say the soon to be graduate wants to "draw attention" to herself. She wants to express herself, in a subdued manner. Now, lemme guess that at least one of the Commencement speeches will extoll the power of the individual, and as they head out into the larger world where one person can make a difference. Except, you, with the sash.

I might trade some graffiti (from Face?) for debt relief. Fares need to rise, and/or the government needs to further subsidize operators. Bangkok hopes new govt will help resolve BMA’s mountain of debt to BTSC The debt has now grown to nearly 50 billion baht. Deputy city governor Wisanu Subsompon told The Nation this week that the issue of the money the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA) owes to Bangkok Transit System Corporation (BTSC) has not progressed much, as the city council has never discussed it at its meetings. The BMA hired BTSC to run electric trains and install systems for the Green Line extension from Mo Chit to Khu Kho and from Bearing to Samut Prakan. https://www.nationthailand.com/thailand/general/40027824

The bulk of the retail business (weight and baht) will be satisfied by three to five large companies, each with five or six retail brands. I think on-line sales will continue to be banned going forward, that's a limitation we see in the alcohol space (yes I know there are exceptions there, thebottlesbkk for example), so there will have to be physical stores. The Canna OG Company model is representative...OG Canna Company brands – Wonderland, Kush House, Mary Jane, Cloud Nine And yes, there will be small, boutique shops catering to local tastes. I have to say, this is the first video from this guy that I have found to worth watching. I was expecting a much different take. Perhaps it was the longer format?

I accuse you of accusing me of accusing you. Where does it end? OMG. Who accused you of ANYTHING? Why are you so defensive? You asked a question, quite honestly in a way that was a set-up for a joke, and some of us (the IQ difference was the best so far - I chose not to make a dental-related or banjo quip) responded in kind. You can add us to your Ignore list, or choose not to read our posts.

Hmm. "According to the order, Garfield County School District 16, in the western part of the state, had indicated that sashes or cords worn during graduation typically represent membership in a nationally recognized organization; other distinctions such as class honors; future military service; or “regalia that is part of a Native American or Pacific Islander tribe.” Additionally, the school district’s policy says “(i)t is appropriate” to decorate a cap with the “flag of a country as recognized by the United Nations,” the order said." So some "accoutrements" are evidently allowed, “regalia that is part of a Native American or Pacific Islander tribe", even in this school district. But not all. I'm kind of surprised this school district allows the cap to be decorated with another country's flag. ????

So I'm guessing the "Legacy" article in the OP does not mention the "Theranos" swindle? You know what they say, "There's a sucker born every hundred years". Attorney for Henry Kissinger tells jurors he invested $6 million in Theranos after meeting Elizabeth Holmes SAN JOSE, CALIF. -- A former estate attorney told jurors in Elizabeth Holmes’ criminal trial that he invested $6 million in Theranos after being introduced to Holmes by ex-Secretary of State Henry Kissinger. Daniel Mosley, who counted Kissinger as a client, took the stand on Tuesday in week nine of the trial. He said that he first heard of the blood-testing start-up in 2013 through Kissinger, who was one of several high-profile former government officials on the Theranos board. “Dr. Kissinger explained to me he was on the board of Theranos and that it was a very interesting company,” Mosely said. “He said it would be terrific if you would take the time to learn about the company and give me your views on it.” https://www.cnbc.com/2021/11/02/attorney-of-henry-kissinger-put-6-million-in-theranos-due-to-holmes.html Henry Kissinger: Kissinger served on Theranos' board from 2014 to 2017. The former Secretary of State resigned amid questions about the company's practices. https://summitjunto.co/articles/what-happened-to-theranos-board-of-directors
