  8. Yes, seems like a last-minute "idea" to re-position a firing as a transfer. The Ambassador position requires Senate confirmation. trump tabbed three House republicans, Walz, Stefanik and Gaetz for positions. How's that working out? FWIW, Walz was photographed using Signal at yesterday's cabinet meeting. What a doofus. https://abcnews.go.com/Politics/waltz-photographed-signal-trumps-cabinet-meeting-day-removal/story?id=121373232
  9. Walz and Wong were "Loomered".
  10. Maybe they can buy the $5 million "Gold Card"? trump has previously bemoaned the fact that we didn't attract more immigrants from "nice" countries like Switzerland and Norway.

  12. This article is from November 7, 2024 The election, which he won by a very, very, very tiny margin, is over. Time to start governing and stop campaigning.
  13. "NOTHING TO DO WITH THE TARIFFS." trump tries his hand at the Jedi Mind Trick. Epic fail.

  15. Dementia Don. He just wouldn't let it go even though the interviewer tried to save him ~ six times. At least he recommended the Measels (MMR) Vaccine. And thank goodness there were enough eggs for Easter.

  18. Another interesting Executive Order from yesterday... ENFORCING COMMONSENSE RULES OF THE ROAD FOR AMERICA’S TRUCK DRIVER Section 1. Purpose. America’s truck drivers are essential to the strength of our economy, the security of our Nation, and the livelihoods of the American people. Every day, truckers perform the demanding and dangerous work of transporting the Nation’s goods to businesses, customers, and communities safely, reliably, and efficiently. Proficiency in English, which I designated as our official national language in Executive Order 14224 of March 1, 2025 (Designating English as the Official Language of the United States), should be a non-negotiable safety requirement for professional drivers. They should be able to read and understand traffic signs, communicate with traffic safety, border patrol, agricultural checkpoints, and cargo weight-limit station officers. Drivers need to provide feedback to their employers and customers and receive related directions in English. This is common sense. https://www.whitehouse.gov/presidential-actions/2025/04/enforcing-commonsense-rules-of-the-road-for-americas-truck-drivers/
  19. This one, signed yesterday, is interesting... STRENGTHENING AND UNLEASHING AMERICA’S LAW ENFORCEMENT TO PURSUE CRIMINALS AND PROTECT INNOCENT CITIZENS Section 1. Purpose and Policy. Safe communities rely on the backbone and heroism of a tough and well-equipped police force. My Administration is steadfastly committed to empowering State and local law enforcement to firmly police dangerous criminal behavior and protect innocent citizens. When local leaders demonize law enforcement and impose legal and political handcuffs that make aggressively enforcing the law impossible, crime thrives and innocent citizens and small business owners suffer. My Administration will therefore: establish best practices at the State and local level for cities to unleash high-impact local police forces; protect and defend law enforcement officers wrongly accused and abused by State or local officials; and surge resources to officers in need. My Administration will work to ensure that law enforcement officers across America focus on ending crime, not pursuing harmful, illegal race- and sex-based “equity” policies. The result will be a law-abiding society in which tenacious law enforcement officers protect the innocent, violations of law are not tolerated, and American communities are safely enjoyed by all their citizens again. https://www.whitehouse.gov/presidential-actions/2025/04/strengthening-and-unleashing-americas-law-enforcement-to-pursue-criminals-and-protect-innocent-citizens/

  21. I think Amazon already folded on this idea. No clue why trump/whitehouse is so adamant that a retailer should not offer transparency on their pricing.
  22. quotes from the linked article... More than 100 immigrants, allegedly in the country illegally allegedly The nightclub had been under surveillance by the DEA and partner agencies for “a number of months,” according to Pullen Why let these crimes continue for months? the presence of alleged members from the Venezuelan gang Tren de Aragua, MS-13, and the Hells Angels. “I don’t have the information about whether those members were there tonight Interesting that they have "no information" about gang members. Criminal activity should always be investigated, and criminals should be charged, and arrested, prosecuted and if convicted deported. Full stop.
  23. To me, trump's reliance on Executive Orders vs. legislation seems like a lazy way to "govern". Too bad he can't issue Executive Orders to "lower prices on day 1", "force tariffs on trading partners," or end the war in Ukraine. But, I think his staff know that he loves to sign his name, and these orders make him feel "powerful". But, if anything, these make him seem weak as a leader. https://www.whitehouse.gov/presidential-actions/executive-orders/
