Musk’s trans daughter: “Elon Musk Is a Pathetic Man-Child"
bamnutsak replied to Social Media's topic in World News
He's got ~ 14 children by a wide assortment of baby mamas. The fact that one doesn't think he's the greatest dad is hardly surprising, especially given that most of his kids are quite young. -
Why DOGE is struggling to find fraud in Social Security Claims of massive problems by Elon Musk and President Trump are at odds with the agency’s audits and reports. Elon Musk put a big target on the Social Security Administration in the first weeks of the Trump administration, claiming it is plagued by “immense waste” and promising audits to root out “the extreme levels of fraud.” President Donald Trump said during his joint address to Congress earlier this month that Musk’s U.S. DOGE Service was already “identifying shocking levels of incompetence and probable fraud” at the agency. But some of the biggest examples of allegedly wasteful spending held up by Musk and DOGE so far have been overblown or inaccurate. Musk’s assertion that tens of millions of dead people over 100 years old are receiving Social Security benefits was so off-base that it had to be tamped down by the agency’s acting head, who had been promoted because of his willingness to cooperate with DOGE. “These individuals are not necessarily receiving benefits,” Social Security acting commissioner Lee Dudek said. https://archive.ph/EbEZM

Seniors won't complain if they miss a Social Security check, Lutnick says Commerce secretary Howard Lutnick suggested this week that only "fraudsters" would complain about missing a monthly Social Security check, and that most people wouldn't mind if the government simply skipped a payment. "Let's say Social Security didn't send out their checks this month. My mother-in-law, who's 94, she wouldn't call and complain," Lutnick — a billionaire former Wall Street CEO — told the billionaire "All In" podcast host Chamath Palihapitiya. "She just wouldn't. She'd think something got messed up, and she'll get it next month. A fraudster always makes the loudest noise, screaming, yelling and complaining," https://www.axios.com/2025/03/21/social-security-lutnick-doge-checks

Statement from Acting Commissioner Dudek about Temporary Restraining Order March 21, 2025 • By Social Security Administration “Today, the Court issued clarifying guidance about the Temporary Restraining Order (TRO) related to DOGE employees and DOGE activities at the Social Security Administration (SSA). Therefore, I am not shutting down the agency. President Trump supports keeping Social Security offices open and getting the right check to the right person at the right time. SSA employees and their work will continue under the TRO.” https://blog.ssa.gov/statement-from-acting-commissioner-dudek-about-temporary-restraining-order/

Social Security Strengthens Identity Proofing Requirements and Expedites Direct Deposit Changes to One Day March 18, 2025 • By Social Security Administration The Social Security Administration (SSA) is taking proactive steps to enhance the security of its services by implementing stronger identity verification procedures. The updated measures will further safeguard Social Security records and benefits against fraudulent activity. Over the next two weeks, SSA will carefully transition to stronger identity proofing procedures for both benefit claims and direct deposit changes. Individuals seeking these services who cannot use their personal my Social Security account, which requires online identity proofing, will then need to visit a local Social Security office to prove their identity in person. At the same time, the agency will expedite processing all direct deposit change requests – both in person and online – to one business day. Prior to this change, online direct deposit changes were held for 30 days. The agency’s two-week transition plan includes training frontline employees and management about the new policy and careful monitoring of policy compliance. At the conclusion of the transition period, on March 31, 2025, SSA will enforce online digital identity proofing and in-person identity proofing. SSA will permit individuals who do not or cannot use the agency’s online my Social Security services to start their claim for benefits on the telephone. However, the claim cannot be completed until the individual’s identity is verified in person. The agency therefore recommends calling to request an in-person appointment to begin and complete the claim in one interaction. Individuals with and without an appointment will need to prove identity before starting a transaction. Individuals who do not or cannot use the agency’s online my Social Security services to change their direct deposit information, can visit a local office to process the change or can call 1-800-772-1213 to schedule an in-person appointment. https://blog.ssa.gov/social-security-strengthens-identity-proofing-requirements-and-expedites-direct-deposit-changes-to-one-day/

Tesla’s Carbon Credit Revenue Soars to $2.76 Billion Amid Profit Drop In Q4 2024 alone, Tesla earned $692 million from selling regulatory credits or carbon credits, accounting for nearly 30% of its quarterly net income of $2.33 billion. Bangkok BTS Disturbance Sparks Debate Over Tourism Conduct
bamnutsak replied to webfact's topic in Bangkok News
Thanks. Assuming that's the whole "incident" I'm not seeing a big deal here. Thai's claiming some offense on this are reaching, perhaps expressing their dissatisfaction with their "government" in general. Once you're hooked on tourist revenue it's tough to bite that hand. -

I would think that the current PM would be at the top of the list? Next up would be Deputy PM Phumtham Wechayachai, and Justice Minister Tawee Sodsong. And Pol Col Tawee and Foreign Affairs Minister Maris Sangiampongsa were part of the decision per Phumtham. Not sure if this affects Diplomatic status? -

Using a web browser, go to wallet.google.com log in if not already logged in go to Payment Methods Do you see your credit card? If not, add it here. Maybe your bank requires some real time authorization? Hence the phone number. I have 2FA and was required to use my FIDO key before I added the second card. I did receive an email from my bank saying that my card was added to Google Pay.
