So far his defense has consisted of: he's too rich to take bribes he doesn't need his paltry salary If he did take bribes he'd take more than 3.6 million baht "they" are out to get me he uses money from his wife to pay for police operations threatening lawsuits "I paid those reporters because I felt sorry for them." IMO, he would be better off addressing the issues, maybe with a few of his beloved vinyl displays. He got into trouble in 2019, and somehow got away with it. And he has advanced in rank far ahead ( 3+ years) of his classmates, allegedly as a result of Elephant Tickets. No clue why so many foreigners are fan bois of what they claim is the only honest cop in Thailand?

Thai Top Cop Demands Justice from Court Over House Search Warrants

He also said that the money transferred from a suspect, Minnie, to his close aide, Pol Col Pakpoom Pisamai, which led to a financial investigation and eventually the raid on his residences, was only 3 million baht. He argued that if Pakpoom were actually accepting bribes from an illegal gambling ring, it would have been a much larger sum. https://twitter.com/ThaiEnquirer/status/1706870000945119682 A Minnie-Bribe? -

Who did he lodge a complaint against? "Minnie"? from the article... “If the court had known that they are my houses it would have acted fairly, because I do not face prosecution,” Pol Gen Surachate told reporters at the court. Do You Know who I am?- 34 replies

New public health minister walks back ‘recreational’ cannabis
bamnutsak replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
The Minister of Public Health doesn't need to do any walking, just issue a declaration that Cannabis Flower with more than 0.2% THC is back on the Narcotics Lists. Advise the Police to arrest anyone growing, selling, using the newly re-criminalized Cannabis. Start with all the licensed shops. Then move on to the million folks who registered to grow on Plook Ganja. Then rejoice, the children and the Kingdom are safe once again. -

No Immigration in SAT1, INT-INT connections possible (I think). APM details: I think they have some of these already, not sure if they have all six two-car trains. Automated people mover details The APM system will be a 5km line comprising four parallel tracks and two stations. It will be serviced by six two-car units that can move between the main terminal and SAT-1 within three minutes per ride at a maximum speed of 80km/h. https://www.airport-technology.com/projects/suvarnabhumi-international-airport-sat-1-thailand/#:~:text=Automated people mover details, maximum speed of 80km%2Fh. https://bangkokairporttrain.com/suvarnabhumi-unmanned-train/ -

Thai health minister backs cannabis ban, citing surge in teen usage
bamnutsak replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
The Government needs a win, and this is an easy one for them, so unfortunately this recriminalization seems inevitable. The recriminalization seems to be gaining steam every day. I predicted there was a good chance (85 - 95%) that recreational use would continue, I was definitely wrong. -
He got into a spot of bother in 2019. Rumors were he was arrested. And went into hibernation then, but has clawed his way back. Boxers, in case anyone is wondering.

Cannabis Network Gives Health Minister A Warning
bamnutsak replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Speaks volumes that you think anyone here cares about sorting your "concerns". None of us are responsible for Thai laws, so who are you trying to convince? You are not going to change anyone's mind. I guess if you really cared you would be lobbying Thai government officials? Most of us here are adults and can make our own lifestyle choices. I'll respect the government's wishes when/if they restrict recreational cannabis use. I'm reminded of the chaps who used to proselytize outside Nana Plaza about the evils of the temptations of the flesh. Sure they were entertaining, but who were they trying to convince. I think they just liked to hear themselves speak, and were hoping for some attention. I will stipulate that Cannabis may be addictive to some very few, especially for those who are easily addicted to anything. I will stipulate that it is unlawful operate a motor vehicle under the influence of Cannabis. I will stipulate that those with underlying mental illnesses may be further affected by the use of Cannabis. If brain development is an issue then I'd support the 26M/24F restrictions, assuming they also raised the legal alcohol age to the same levels. The "attendant violence" is a bridge too far, for me anyway. For meth, or alcohol, sure. For cannabis meh. Maybe a fight over the last slice of pizza, but that's about it. -

Thai PM says he opposes the recreational use of cannabis
bamnutsak replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
An enemy could make the case that your use of this representation, and Aseannow (as a publisher), are in violation of Thai law. Good thing you are not a member of MFP. Alcohol Control Act of 2008 Section 32 also prevents anyone from advertising alcohol or showcasing any names or logos that induce people to drink, whether directly or indirectly. When alcohol products are posted on social media, the group highlights the significance to the public that advertising and sales promotion can influence and lead to an increase in new drinkers. https://aseannow.com/topic/1303667-deputy-house-speaker-in-hot-water-over-a-cold-beer/ -

Incorrect. Again. Wow you're on a roll. 0-fer today. The law does not identify "legal" uses, it does identify some use limits. Recreational use is NOT illegal, unless you are a lactating woman, or under 20 YO. Recreational use in public, where it causes an annoyance to others is illegal. Thank goodness you have nothing to do with the law or judicial system here.
