  1. and cut the body snatcher out of their commission? if the rescue foundations bring the patient to the hospital, even just across the road they got paid and how would a private hospital knows to response unless somebody called them directly, if I called 1669 and they sent a Bangkok Hospital ambulance due to them being the nearest I'd rather die than pay the resulting bill
  2. In case of road accidents, the hospital can claim it against the compulsory insurance, up to 30,000 baht, maybe the other party did a runner hence the uncertainty on whose insurance should pay in this case
  3. are you sure the mains wiring to the oven is big enough, 4sq mm at least for oven
  4. all the office's system should be linked, edge case are probably some land border that don't have linked system, and if you did a visa run using those borders and only got stamps or a service took your passport to be stamped out and in using dodgy methods, in which case the gat just won't open and you have to go see an officer in the normal queue
  5. Sirens sounds, red light on the gate where you are as immigration officers runs towards you shouting and escort you to the back rooms /joking aside there should be a desk where you could willingly surrender to pay your overstay, or they might have a sign that those on overstay should go to the manual queue,
  6. different contractors, the sewer/storm drains is one job, and the re-paving of road surface is by another contractor, and may not even be ordered by the same authorities, the city or water might be able responsible for the drain, but the road is under highways department, and good luck getting Thais to plan things to finish together
  7. he can wait out the statue of limitation of 10 years, after which they stop looking to prosecute him, he can get his ID card back by applying for it at the Amphur, but getting other papers from the government will be difficult, he will be on the Army's or Central Tabien Ban (Housebook) registry, essentially homeless in the eye of the law and good luck getting anything that require government involvement, from moving into houses, driving license, passport, owning land or getting mobile phone bills, also no chance of getting proper jobs to be able to be moved out of the Army's housebook, he'd either have to surrender himself to the military, he'd have to to time if he go to them before the 10 years is up
  8. For AirAsia, you can amend the prepaid from say 20-30kg by going to a booking counter or online before going to the check in desk, which will be significantly cheaper than being charged excess baggage weight
  9. how is that any good, some stations are skipped, colors are wrong lines at odd angles looks like it is made and appreciated by people who has never seen system maps in their life https://drive.google.com/file/d/1A46nzkPi7m1U1CvjooCnetUk9euUelcf/view this is good in English
  10. The government is probably targeting Thais with overseas income, the fact that expat pensioners is caught by this is probably not even on the government's radar. The fact that for months, the expat retiree community hasn't made noise loud enough to reach or for the government to response just proves how insignificant this particular population is proves them wrong by leaving, make Pattaya empty and in ruins, that'll show them.
  11. if non co-owners can be proxies (often the staff from juristic person office would be canvassing for power of attorneys, I don't see why owners that is barred from voting from not paying fee can't be proxies for others
  12. there are cheaper places like clinics or public hospitals that herd people in and have them lined up, next and out the door, the operation is only around 20 minutes, but the wait to get tested and get dilated is about half a day
  13. usually the freebies included with insurance is enough, they cover tow(transporter) to garage, but limited kilometers, any more you'd have to pay by the KM if you break down in Bangkok but want to bring your car back to local garage in Pattaya on the Bangna toll expressway the have their own tow service that get you out of the expressway Hwy 7 motorway also has them but not as responsive
  14. ABS, read disc, LED lights, the nicer cast swingarm on the CT But the Yamaha seem to have address a lot of pain points of the CT, riding position, tyre size, pillion pegs won't stop people from buying the CT though people already on CT are eyeing the PG1 as second bikes
  15. There's also a Vincent Black Shadow motorcycle on display, sublime
  16. if your aircon 'technician' suggests you refill the refrigerant periodically, you've been conned. only case where filling is easier than finding the leaks and fixing it is in big, whole building hvac or restaurant style walk in freezer where the runs could be significant and leeks hard to reach for most split units, leaks are easily found and fixable in case of copper or the whole coils need replacement if your unit's got aluminum coils
  17. I haven't found a shortcut through the displays to the Restaurant yet, I know there should be way to get to Restaurant from the Entrance, there are one at Bangna If they still give free tea/coffee for members and with easy access from Soi 22 with the side entrance the Ikea restaurant could be a popular spot for pensioners (if there's any left in the area)
  18. There's a big glass elevator on the left in front of the building with view of the park, which I only discovered after making my way up to the top floor, agreed that the lift are a bit hidden away on lower floors
  19. I'm also amazed at the English proficiency of the supposedly natives themselves, the article, while probably translated from Thai clearly states that the charge was paid by the recipients of blood donations,
  20. The wide car parking lanes are actually for both way traffic, the Thais are already complaining that even typical pickup trucks turning circle are difficult with lanes full of cars coming the other way
  21. Typical Thai malls would hide lots of floor numbers with Mezzanine and such... makes an easier when selling to potential renters (shops) and charging more rent M1 or M2 sounds just next to ground or where the Skywalks connects, whereas in actual you're already on 3rd or 4th floor Level 2 here sounds not far away but you're already 5 floors up from ground In most malls they'd have something like Cinema or restaurants up top to at least force some foot traffic up, here Ikea's doing that
  22. one obvious loophole seen in public so far, Seen earlier this year The Prodrive P25, a 'restomod' Subaru from 1998 was imported from the UK and sold for 55M Baht, because in the UK it was registered as small volume 'new' car or Kit car equivalent, and Thailand is OK with that since it's a 'new' car So if you can set up a shell company in the UK and provide sufficient paper that the car is 'new' you can import them into Thailand
  23. payday/ lottery day hiccups, happens a lot more often these days, used to be only a few times a year, now seems like every month
  24. you won't even be able to board the plane if you don't produce your UK passport
