Many different Visa card options ... Bangkok Bank Credit Cards
Both the topic and text did state he was talking about Debit cards https://www.bangkokbank.com/en/Personal/Cards/Be1st-Smart-Card,
which until now has been either mastercard or unionpay for a while
Which is good news, I never managed to get the Mastercard debit from Bangkok bank's contactless to work

Normally most of the branch's safety deposit boxes are full, need to find a new branch that's just opened to get a chance of renting one.
but with some Banks like SCB closing down branches, it's foreseeable that there's not gonna be enough to go around in desirable area

Can Google Pay/Wallet be used for cardless ATM withdrawals at Thai banks?
I've read that it was possible at Bangkok Bank, but when I informed at this bank they told me this was only possible if I had a Bangkok Bank account.
So, any information on cardless ATM withdrawals?
no, cardless ATM are Thai Bank's own invention and not a standard from the cards company.
and even uses of Google Pay and Apple Pay to pay for goods and services in Thailand can be sporadic with some cashier's edc terminal not being compatible

with insurance product such as this, if you bail out earlier you might even be at a loss
but you can borrow against the value, with interest if you need the money occasionally

Maybe I’m a simpleton but can you explain to me the process of doing it, is it any quicker or easier than with a card. I do have a Bangkok Bank account and have been tempted to try to do it but there’s always someone waiting behind me and not want to make a fool of myself trying to fathom it out. Thanks.
You open the app on your phone (with the necessary passwords or biometric you have set up),
select the cardless withdrawal, select the amount you need, and the app with ask for your PIN (same PIN you use for mobile transfers on the app and such) the app then open the camera ready to scan
then you press the button on the ATM, it shows the QR code, you scan that,
then you press confirmation button on the ATM... cash comes out.. you're done
it's a few more steps than inserting card, PIN and amount if you're used to that
the advantage is that it lets you withdraw out of area without incurring the 20 baht fee, plus if you got rid of the card, no need for the annual fee.... but you'll be locked in Bangkok Bank's own ATM, can't used at other bank's ATM

This will not change a thing
carrying license are already hard to get for civilians, easier to hire off-duty policeman as armed guard rather than to get civilian guard to get a carry license
the license are only granted with the signature of the minister of interior, currently Mr. Anutin himself

Yes, but the unlock would be controlled by the fire alarm system, not the security system.
That's a very important distinction. You can't lock a fire door with a security system.
no need to keep it locked,
you can have switch on the fire door that triggers the whole building fire alarm system that'll piss off enough residents every time someone opens it
or even just a separate alarm to scare those that opens it and make security come and fine them
with enough sign posted warning them of course

Fingerprints or Facial recognition only and limit how often per month the co-owners can add a 'guest' would inconvenience the short term landlord enough that they are unable to do airbnbs anymore

I too, make a u turn at pedestrian crossings,
some roads in Bangkok I don't feel safe waiting to turn right into buildings waiting on the median with big trucks passing me on left, I'd rather wait for the pedestrian crossing lights to turn red and make a u turn there

Organizations like Father Ray, Rotary, and Chester charity ride comes to mind. No single foreigner.
There used to be foreigner members of Lions club and maybe Rotarians, they have since passed away
A lot of Restaurateur and hotel GMs in days past were pillars of the community too, not many from the old scene left these days
Oh and not forgetting local newspaper owners, they certainly see themselves as one

while it's accurate to refer to battery in EVs as a storage of power if you want to be pedantic,
petroleum based fuel are essentially store of power from the sun too with plant and animals that converted the sun's energy into other forms

That is correct,
For the indentification law, any Thai goverment issued ID card should be sifficient.
But there can is also the requirement to proof your legal sttaus in the country. (Visa check)
Here is the issue, it is not sure if this can be done with a copy or does it have the original passport, Depending on their mode they say one or the other.
Also officially only a immigration officer can check your legal status as normal police officers don't have access to the immigration information.
The real question is that can they (regular non immigration police) arrest or hold you on suspicion of not having valid visa?

I saw one report yesterday saying Pink Line free passenger trials are happening this month, with paid fare services starting in December.
The BTS were trialling something useful last month where the big HD screens on the platform were actually showing information about the next train arrivals (as the MRT Blue has done for years!). Annoyingly it's gone again, hopefully it comes back again soon, I think only one time the information shown was totally wrong. It said next train was about 5 minutes away and then 1 turned up a minute later....always better to under promise and over deliver!
The only station I didn't see it being shown at was Siam....one of the busiest stations, there are TVs around the platform, but seemingly only there to show us advertising.
. I'm not sure if this was also the case at Samrong and Ha Yaek Ladprao.
There are no big screen from the opposing platforms at Siam and Samrong as they're both island platforms

I was in a taxi in Hong Kong with my Chinese girlfriend and a colleague with his Thai wife. He explained to his wife where we going in Thai and used the phrase 'gai-gai'. Apparently, it means something like close to in Thai; in Chinese it is a slang word for pu**y. My girlfriend was horrified then amused.
If your Thai friend/wife is named Tiew, never call her name out in public in Hongkong too

Totally the opposite, the fines imposed by the court are nearly always much LOWER than the 500 baht per day.
but they won't let you book your own flight out would they? once detained, even at the airport, you can only buy ticket out through them and to your passport countries nly

Not sure but I seem to remember the Thai Tobacco Company has a private road through their Huge area of land, I seem to remember a M/C taxi cutting through there, don't know if there was a toll, but he sure didn't pay one.
they used to have a sticker you stick on the windshield that let you go through without paying

some private roads that is normally open for most of the year will have a paid day one or two days a year to exert their rights otherwise it's considered given to public due to adverse possession
-
is this highly dependent on the wall charger and supported vehicle?
I understand the Japanese ChaDeMo charger are better in this respect as it's baked in to the charging protocol

Honda grom or monkey's the only ones in Thailand with a clutch at 125cc
for 150 there's also the CB/CBR

temporary road cover -understand now.
temporary for these tunnels seems quite a long time, most of the roads that have big underground tunnel for electrics like these seem to have these slabs in place for 2-3 years now and opened up for works during the night

there are no need for special sign if the maximum legal weight for all trucks are like 50 tonne, and this project's temporary road surface was designed for that, is it unforeseeable that there would be trucks running around over the weight limit regularly? ideally it should have been designed with tolerance in mind

for office, if you use so little of it to not warrant paying the subscription, free OSS alternative or online ones are plenty enough
What would a pirated software shops sell these days? discs? nobody's got a dvd or cd drive in decades,
I can see some value in usb sticks full of movies and stuff
