I find it comedy gold how many seem to get bent out of shape over Transferwise I (and several others) have told you how to do it. How to transfer money to TW itself etc etc and which method is the quickest You can lead a horse to water. Now we have posters claiming delays are endured because of the "reason for transfer" Chaps thats entirely for TW historical records should there ever be an investigation into money laundering on your account Its makes no difference if you say its for Noi in Nongbulamphu or immediate action funds for Soi 6

Thailand seeks to slash quarantine period for visitors
Chivas replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
Yep great post Destiny and perfectly accurate.... The longer this goes on the less and less people will be interested in returning. Contrary to what a few thousand in Pattaya think there's not going to be a flicking of a switch and things returning to "normal" Its going to take a long time years and years... -
Thailand seeks to slash quarantine period for visitors

Completely wasting their time Until you can arrive with just a double vaccination certificate and insurance then 99% will not be coming..... -
I have simply no idea what some are you are doing to make it so slow Complete the online form Send them your transfer from your bank (dont use debit cards) using a saved payee Go back to online form and click I've sent the money Log in to Thai bank (SCB for me) and its already there From originally opening Wise website to initiate a transfer to it landing is 3 minutes tops.....(the actually transfer itself 10 seconds)

I never would personally as enjoy Spring/Summer in the UK As regards staying the other 6 months a year in Thailand I'm free to do it now if I wanted to. The advent of the internet changed everything for investors London or Pattaya makes no difference I think what helps some people to make the leap more easily is if they are "used" to spending fairly frugally back home not because they're being tight but for example in my case I cant remember the last time I went to a pub or restaurant in the UK (funeral lol) out of choice If you replicate that in Thailand than your costs are very very low frankly

Thai Baht Finally Getting Weaker
Chivas replied to Banana7's topic in Jobs, Economy, Banking, Business, Investments
It will be on the UK's red list indefinatly partly because I have little doubt the UK have no confidence whatsoever in the "declared" infection numbers I reckon this time next year before Brits get a chance to go again even then doubtless with restrictions Until I can turn up at Suvarnabhumbi with just a Covid Certificate, Passport and a smile then I'm out..... -
The only thing Prince Andrew is guilty of is being stupidly in the vicinity of Epsteins entourage, Yes he was an utter berk to be so, but thats as far as it goes If all the snowflakes (across all media) would just engage 1st gear and think for themselves for once they'd realise firstly this guy is a Prince in the biggest Royal Family in the world and as such no matter what his age (then or now) 1000's of females would happily throw themselves at his feet So why on earth would he feel he "needed" to get involved in Trafficked girls !! Not surprisingly should this absolute farce go any further this will be the first line of defence for Andrews briefs. He's guilty of being a total berk in being near Epstein but thats as far as it goes....period

Transfer Money from UK to Thailand
Chivas replied to pixelaoffy's topic in Jobs, Economy, Banking, Business, Investments
Some of the information yet again relating to finance is utterly catastrophic on Thaivisa. Its bad enough on exchange rate threads but here yet again just as shocking Thaivisa literally need a proper moderator with long standing financial experience to mod accurately this sub forum as finance effects us all without exception and the advice is sadly frequently shocking -
In 1993 I was in Thailand and had met up with Serving British Police officer (at the time) who was part of "traffic" for 4 days who was on holiday with wife who I had known since I was 17 He simply could not believe the driving and was apoplectic with rage. Vividly remember on the highway between Bangkok and Pattaya and his absolute fury at the full on undertaking. He was utterly speechless He never came to Thailand again.

Seriously why are they even bothering with this nonsense over Phuket They need to grasp in very short order that no foreign tourists will come whilst extensive restrictions are in place Ignore that everything is virtually shut anyway Thailand needs to fully understand that 99% of tourists are not coming until they can arrive at Suvarnabhumbi with just a Covid Certificate, Passport and a smile Until that happens Thailands tourist industry doesn't exist
