What Movies or TV shows are you watching (2025)
xylophone replied to Rimmer's topic in Entertainment
Last night I watched the movie, "The World will Tremble" and I enjoyed it although it was not what one would call a blockbuster, all the same it was based on a true story and highlighted the plight of the Jewish folk in Nazi Germany. Watching it brought back memories of when I was a teenager in the early 60s and I had watched a documentary on the BBC which showed footage of the concentration and death camps which were uncovered by the Allied troops at the end of the war, and it was shocking, nauseating and almost unbelievable what happened to these poor folk. I remember going to work in the factory where I was serving my apprenticeship in England and spoke to an older German guy (tactless as I was) about what happened to these Jewish folk and how come that there were towns and villages not far from these camps, so surely somebody must have seen or suspected what was going on? His reply was that nobody else knew, but this was later laid bare by a second documentary which showed footage of the time whereby German citizens in the towns and cities were catching and beating Jews, so the hatred of these people was not just confined to the Nazi death camps. Such a sad episode in the history of the world. -
Food for Thought > A Common Sense vaccine statement and a BS one...
xylophone replied to Red Phoenix's topic in Covid/Vaccine
I also didn't realise that Will, but there are those out there who will surprise with their ignorance and stupidity and as I don't suffer fools gladly, I have put those very people on ignore!! So I will see no more of their posts, thank goodness. -

Thanks Will......and to follow on from my previous post it can be seen, yes, there for all to see, that the post by Stiddle Mump in which he said: "None of these quoted, are caused by a virus Sir". is plain nonsense and if I am labelled as having a "superiority complex" then it wouldn't hard given the stupidity shown by others on here. -

Well, you couldn't be further from the truth with regards to being "full of anger" – – never was and never will be, although I do get annoyed when folks like you and the others in the cabal ridicule proven medical research and results by experts in their fields, and that makes me annoyed and amazed because I just can't believe that such ignorance exists in this day and age, but it does and you and the others are proof. I don't know how else to describe the blatant stupidity and ignorance I've seen on here and I was sincerely hoping that AN would take some action, but now it appears that anyone can post any nonsense they want and it won't be challenged – – so sad. So for anyone wanting to believe that viruses don't exist, that disease cannot be spread from human to human, and that vaccinations now and in the previous decades were useless and dangerous, then this is certainly the forum for them. Richard_smith237 has certainly put out some great posts with great and truthful information, however whatever he posts will be strangled by the likes of you and the others in the cabal. And yes I have put quite a few people on ignore, especially the likes of the people who say that viruses don't exist and so on, because it's a plain and utter nonsense. And for the record I wouldn't have to put people on ignore "to create a fantasy world where I am the genius among fools" because it's pretty plain that one wouldn't have to be a genius to be smarter than the posters here believing this nonsense. So in effect you and the others have elevated me above the likes of you and those posters, and for that I thank you!! No, I don't have a superiority complex, I just believe in the science, the research, the results, the peer reviews and the experts in their fields who have made major advances in medicine and who are not afraid to publish their results/papers, despite folks like you and the others who don't believe in the science and the great work which has been carried out by these experts and how many lives they have saved in the process. -

Great, informative post @richard_smith237as are your following posts on the subject of vaccines, their history and how they work. I am surprised that you are even entering into discourse with these dipsticks and bozos, because you are clearly at a level so far above them and all they can do is to repeat nonsense that they "pick up" from somewhere, probably from a book like, "how to appear stupid without really trying" or from damaged grey matter. You will also note that the "thumbs down" emoji has been applied, probably by this little cabal of idiots, so best move on as you have no hope of "educating" them, thank you for your intelligent and reasoned responses and just for the record I have these dipsticks on ignore because I saw the low level of their intelligence many posts ago. -
Me too and I would think that you have MANY supporters on AN who would agree with you.....including me.

You are wasting your time with this nut job.....I quoted viruses that are known to exist and which are capable of killing humans, but to no avail. As my dear old Mum used to say, "he isn't the full quid" and that is why I put him on ignore some time ago as I have no time for his nonsense. -
Behind the fatal Trump flaw MAGA can't even defend

Putin is still in charge despite trump saying he would bring the war to an end on day one of his presidency. This is how its going.......Vlad is holding the winning cards. LoL -
Picking up on that point, or at least one related to it, I read an article regarding China seeking to reduce the amount of rare earths which were previously exported to the USA, which are vital to the electrical and electronics industries and came across this little piece of information relating to a factory which was built in the USA to produce rare earth magnets...... "After the embargo in 2010, the Japanese company Hitachi Metals, which changed its name in 2023 to Proterial, responding to concern from the administration of former President Barack Obama, built a rare earth magnets factory in North Carolina from 2011 to 2013. The Hitachi Metals factory, with several dozen employees, had higher costs than the giant complexes being built in Ganzhou. American companies proved unwilling to pay extra for magnets produced in the United States and switched to Chinese suppliers. Hitachi closed the factory in 2020 and the equipment went into storage". So in effect, the American companies switched their buying to China because it was cheaper to do so, NOW the orange buffoon thinks he can quite easily bring back the manufacturing to the USA and all will be well – – yeah right. The American companies wouldn't pay back then, and there's no reason to suspect they will now either, especially with the cost of labour and other essentials being higher at the moment than they were then. The poor American public were promised that manufacturing etc would come back to the US and all would be hunky-dory, but in the real world, NOT Magaland, the reality is quite different.

Keep drinking the Kool Aid as I have never posted a "conspiracy theory" about the convicted felon, compulsive liar, multi bankrupt, charity thief, University scammer and grifter (still wearing your gold sneakers?) because the truth is out there and is plain to see. Touche. -

Well I am not a Biden bro/supporter and if you really think that trump would give that much money away without some form of recompense from elsewhere then you truly are one of trump's poorly educated Maga goobers. LOL! -

With trump it is all about money....and his foray into crypto speaks volumes esp as he had previouly called it a scam before bringing David Sacks on to his team. Trump had previously called crypto a “scam” but at a US$50,000-a-ticket event, a handful of crypto executives convinced trump to get behind it and he changed his mind. I wonder why!!? "Amid economic uncertainty, critics fear that David Sacks, who was heavily invested in crypto before divesting for his White House role, will usher in an industry-led free-for-all, leaving consumers vulnerable to scams and volatility. Customers lost more than US$8 billion in deposits when the crypto exchange FTX imploded in 2022". “There’s no reason to think that he won’t be bringing a view that is ‘corporations first’ as opposed to America or Americans first,” said Rick Claypool, research director of Public Citizen, a money-in-politics watchdog group. “It’s a tragedy for the American people who rely on the federal Government to protect them.” -

All that proves is that there are more dumb people in America than was previously thought. Compulsive liars will lie and dumb followers will follow – – sad but true. And the very same poorly educated dumb followers will be hardest hit by he dumb decisions of this clown. -

And the sad thing is that even if all that was true..........ah another fan of the felon/compulsive liar/charity funds stealer/pu$$y grabber and trump university con man. All proven!! And of course he has reneged on his promises, is being played by Putin and is dumb, and not knowing just how dumb he is, is a fatal flaw, but Magas cannot/will not see it, so perhaps this will help..... -

xylophone replied to Rimmer's topic in Entertainment
Yes I agree, it was very good and I watched it over the previous two nights and can only hope that I can find more high class series like that one. IMO the series was very cleverly put together and the acting was superb. -
Yeah right.....it will be the first in his life!!! But hold on, maybe it was his plan to buy the casinos and make them go bankrupt, as it was his other businesses – – a grand bankruptcy plan. Nailed it!!

The Struggle for Supremacy: Can Trump Halt China’s Global Ascent?
xylophone replied to Social Media's topic in World News
It took nearly 50 years to achieve reasonable trade policy stability, from the creation of the General Agreement on Tariffs and Trade in 1947 to the World Trade Organisation in 1995. Why assume it will not take as long to clean up Trump’s mess? In the meantime, the uncertainty he has created cannot be undone, even if he backs down completely. Not even his removal from office or the election of a President in 2028 committed to the old Washington Consensus will entirely reverse the harm he has caused in two weeks since his “Liberation Day” — April 2. No one can be confident investing when the antics of the world’s most powerful individual can move financial markets 10% on any given day and with the US delivering such sudden, radical and irrational policy swings and appearing at risk of autocracy.
