  1. Guess I'm lucky. Over the years here I have never had a problem when getting fuel.
  2. We have a freind who had a cold recently. Was kind of sick for 4-5 days. It wasn't covid.
  3. I guess they forgot about durian with sticky rice... I think if you set out a table with half the dishes with mango and half with durian the durian would be gone first.
  4. Where I live, in Ratchaburi, Kerry is the best delivery service. I never have a problem with them. Flash Express is the worst. More and more of Lazada deliveries seem to be going to Flash. They must be cheaper.
  5. Perhaps when you meet someone just ask them straightoff if they want to quit their job. If they say no then there you go.
  6. I don't think you can use your corrent insurance to meet the O-A insurance requirement. Perhaps you could use it for your initial entry but only if they will provide the required form for you. Most insurance companies will not do that. Before you could get an extension you would have to get an approved insurance. The link below lists the companies that can be used. At the top there is a link for the form your current insurance company would have to provide you with. - Health Insurance for Long Stay Visa in Thailand (tgia.org)
  7. Hopefully there is surveillance video of it. Then if he actually is a police officer something is still done about it.
  8. So there are different charges for theft at night and theft in the day?
  9. My mother-in-law would always tell my wife that she did not treat me good enough.
  10. They already get 500 baht from each traveller. You used to have to pay upon departure. But now it is just added to the airfare price.
  11. Better yet all those he forced to drink his jism should give him a glass full of theirs for him to drink.
  12. Appearing to be well off can also mean well in debt. They may have appreciated some help back. Parents do not wai their children back no matter how old they are. By extension they may consider you as one of their children. You should only expect a verbal response when you wai them. As a side note, when a child wais you don't wai them back, just a verbal response. There are also different nuances of respect when waiing. Such as how high your hands are and if you nod your head or not. If it was the first time you met them they may be unsure of how to act with a farang. But may warm up upon getting to know you better. Most Thai's give foreigners a lot of leeway because they know they are not familiar with Thai customs. But don't try and push your customs on them either. They just aren't used to it.
  13. When my family came to visit me we stayed at the IBIS Riverside for a few days. There were people fishing at the bank there. If I remember correctly when I asked what they were fishing for they said catfish. If you google 'fishing in Chao Praya river' you will see some youtube videos and another thread on this forum.
  14. I have Pacific Cross. When I renew I get a letter for the medical coverage, one in English and one in Thai. Then there is also a separate letter for the Covid coverage. You should check the stuff they sent you for the renewal to see if you already have the letter.
  15. The driver ended up pulling over and stopping to let the ambulance by so not as bad as they are making it out to be.
  16. Had a big storm hit here in Ratchaburi late in the evening. Still dark clouds hanging around this morning.
  17. The fossils will outlast the sidewalk.
  18. The only article I see where Thailand recieved a donation of 200,000 doses from India can't be linked here. It says it was to arrive in Thailand on the 25th, so should already be here. However it also says it is being distributed to government hospitals to be used for those who have not been vaccinated yet.
  19. We went to the local police station about a week ago. A policeman was standing in the front entrance vaping.
  20. I had some work done on my home about 6 years ago. I never really noticed these until reading your post, mostly because they are above head level in the bathroom. The quality is close to yours. One photo is the best joint and then a couple of the bad ones. The seem to do ok where 2 pieces join but 3 way junctions give them a problem. (I've had about 10 different groups do work for me. Not one of them would I call totally professional. One of the people working on the land we just bought said, "I can do 80%. Show me anyone that can do 100%.") Thai construction is best viewed from a distance. The closer you look the worse it gets.
  21. It's the difference between 'light angle' and 'right angle'

    Air Con Service

My service guy tops the units up if they need it, included in the price of the cleaning. In my experience here they don't really try to find a leak unless it is really bad. They would rather just keep charging it back up.
  23. It does say he shot him in the back of the head. Hard to say that is self defense.
