Does your document have sketch of the property on it? My guess is it may be property given by the government to farm on. I believe these can be passed on to family members. But they are not really ownership documents. The government can take the land back any time they want. That said a lot of this type of property is sold illegally. Land ownership documents have a garuda on it, red, black or green.

I drink tap water here at home. However I have a whole house filtration system. Plus the water I drink goes through another filter system. And I properly maintain them. Not all of the Bangkok hospitals charge the same rate either. When my family was visiting my dad got ill. We were in Samui at the time and took him to Bangkok Hospital there. They charged him 5,000 baht just to see an internal medicine specialist. Later when we went to our house in Ratchaburi we took him to Bangkok hospital again. It was only 500 baht to see an internal medicine doctor there.

Many times I have been able to get the Thai price. Mostly by telling them in Thai that I was Thai or sometimes showing them my drivers license. But I have not been to any parks in quite a few years now. Sometimes I tell them my wife is a US citizen but they still give her the Thai price.

Perhaps they should test if holding one in each hand allows them to be used as divining rods.
