  1. If you’re British you can enter UK. From Thailand it’s on Amber rules, look it up on gov.com . James Teague managing director of AZ Thailand. Ask him.

  3. Astra Z is accepted nearly everywhere, definitely GB , they’re part owners of the company.
  4. None can say when it will be ok to travel , all depends on the pandemic. Unless you want to do the 14 days quarantine locked in a room , and when you get out everything is in lockdown, closed, shut .
  5. Phuket is closed to all domestic travel, only international direct flights let in on the Sandbox program, this was due to increased infections.
  6. Most of Europe has the Pass Sanitaire which you get after you are vaccinated with a QR code. As from this weekend, every restaurant, bigger shops, coffee bar, bus, train, flight obliges you to use the downloaded app ( government protected) when you wish to go anywhere where there is public. Also hospitals clinics etc except Urgencies. There are protests, a relatively small number, of anti vaxers, complot spreaders every Saturday afternoon in the big cities. It does incite the general public to get their vaccinations , and millions have done so in the last few days and are booked for the weeks ahead. You also need the Pass to go to work, if you work with the public, or big office etc. If not, you can be suspended without pay, or, you can present a valid negative test every three days to your employer ! Once you get everyone needed vaccinated , you can put in milder rules. None of my friends object, it’s easy to do ( paper form if you don’t have smart phone) and is free. An awkward 2 days at the start, now it’s just run of the mill. For above comments, 86% of new infections are non vaccinated . The rest, vulnerable people or the very sick. yes, you can get Covid once vaccinated, which generally lasts a few days and doesn’t put you in hospital. We still take care, avoid crowds, masks in shops etc for the moment.
  7. I’m bored, I’m constantly planning a few destinations, and I write it all down in a notebook. This is the second year of sitting at home dreaming of leaving, and I’ve always gone away for the whole winter since 1980, so it’s driving me crackers. I do go away to Italy , but I’m missing Asia. I’ve planned and nearly booked two trips to French Polynesia, and yesterday my trip fell through again, problems there too apparently. Keep telling myself I’m still healthy, lucky, and live in a nice place , not like many other million poor souls.
  8. If the gentleman can afford to, I think he should at least double that, and more if he is well off. Personally, I would be forever grateful and generous to anyone who helped someone in my family like that. The son is probably also quite old, and maybe not so well off. So only the giver can decide.
  9. This is horrifying and I really feel for the poor people, migrants or Thai, who have to die at home for lack of help.
