PCX - but I never used it.

All very confusing. Our NV town car - two door, green letters on white. Our two door Vigo - black letters on white. Seen two and four door pickups with both colors. Rented a car and driver - Camry - had blue letters on white. I just smile, pay, go. good for a year.

Apply Never Seez to those studs, back off torque 10%

Thailand employs in excess of 500k people in the automotive industry. That number alone says they aren't going to change a thing. They don't want to compete, they do want to protect what hey we got.
A lesson which was sorely learned by people in North America. Allow multi nationals to move to where labour is cheap, close factories, layoff workers.

call Bupa for a quote
Was in Bupa Thursday. got a Platinum coverage quote. Turn 70 - no coverage under any of their policies

If you know cars, mileage is a non issue. We bought a second car for town - Nissan NV. Then had 152K. Now 180K. Burns no oil, leaks no oil, front end tight, body perfect with no rust, interior like new. Bought one battery and 4 tires since we got it, and had the clutch disc, pressure plate and throwout bearing replaced for the astronomical price of 3600 baht - parts and labour. But I have been around cars al my life and gave it a thorough checkup prior to buying. Blue book shows us to be the second owner since new.

Topic title should read - "Is Thailand the only country in the world where I can drive without the proper driving license ? "

If the bike needs a yearly inspection, go to a shop displaying this sign. Make sure that the Thai characters are displayed in the middle. They will inspect, and for a small additional charge, take your green book for a bike or blue book for a car to the LTO, pay the tax and get you your new sticker. Cost about 200 baht extra.

Over 10 years ago published studies have shown that airbags cause death in low speed crashes.
http://phys.org/news/2005-06-airbags-probability-death-accidents.html
the last line - “The evidence shows that airbags do more harm than good.”
-
Saw a Jazz that got a glancing blow from a pickup. You could check the oil from the drivers seat. Your legs for sure would not be in the way. And people think airbags make a car safe.

I would first buy some crankcase protectors. I gutted the muffler on mine, kept the CAT. Sounds much better and looks stock. Easy job.

Lust after one. All reviews I have read are positive for what it is. Only thing that would stop me was the electronics. Fine when they work, but who would fix them ? If KTM is anything like the Duck, you may be in for a long, long wait.

Cloudy today - not just haze/smoke

The OP is looking for a 7/8 seat comfortable MPV and not a 11/12 seat basic minibus with few creature comforts.

I would guess that for100,000 to 300,000 baht you could find a few nice seats

You can buy a new Toyota Commuter for 1.2M - why get something old that you need to repair/remodel ?
-
To my taste - on looks alone - Subaru Forester, BMW opposed twin bikes, and Birkenstocks all designed by the same person. Sure - they may be good vehicles, just can't see my behind in/on the seat of any of them. Or foot.

Yes, overall, there is a more fair spread of justice in the West. Do you really want to argue against that?
Links at the ready.
If you have money - anywhere - you can escape incarceration / fines / criminal record. No difference here, there, anywhere. And you can keep the links.

What the world really needs is for people to concentrate on riding - or driving when on the Road. All the rest is just a recipe for disaster. Get lost - pull off the road and find your way again - not attempt to use anything that is not directly related to steering, accelerating, or braking the vehicle. Tire pressure ? Get some experience and you can feel a low tire.

Bit off topic - but have always filled the tank when gauge reads 1/2 full. Most have an intank fuel pump, and running the tank near empty means that the pump is not covered with fuel, so runs hotter and shortens pump life. Plus - it is cheaper to buy 1/2 a tank !!!
Honda Idling Stop - which Honda motor scooters have this feature?

How much fuel does it use waiting for a red light ? How much does a battery and a starter motor cost ? Cost/benefit.
Battery only good for so many starts, same as the starter. Marketing Hype.
