Some people have said people can call them what they like... but that is because they are not in a minority group and have not been attacked, beaten up, discriminated against and bullied for what they are.
Been a biker all my life. I know what discrimination is. You do not have to be non White, or non anything. Or be anything. And I do not go around and call people names which may insult them. At least not anymore. Do a couple of bits and you will learn tolerance. Or learn tolerance of pain.

Small market. As above, how many Thai riders will spend 90K baht on a race suit which they will cook in. Same with the other brands - not many will spring for an Arai, Shoei or other premium helmet. So no incentive to develop a website which will generate next to no sales.

If you look thru your IPhone camera, you will see that the width of the field of view is not going to show much more than straight ahead. Bracket a pic with the fone, then measure how wide the visible filed is. Car cameras approach 180 degrees side-to-side to allow wider, more complete coverage and recording

The old Hate Speech defense. Used by people who only want their side of the story told. As in the many threads about the Israelis and Palestinians. Post anything anti - Israel = Hate Speech. Post anything about Palestine = they deserve it. Terrorists. Complete BS. Same here - if you are offended, you choose to be offended. I have been called many things, and deserved some of them. And the N word - nowadays can only be used by people of color ? So now we have racial and color lines about to be drawn in the dictionary ? As for France - their house, their rules. Can you see me shaking my head ? <deleted> !

Link above shows full set of plastics for CRF250L as 3500 baht. PCX is 4600 baht

Free play from fully released - pedal moves one inch down before resistance is felt. Free play from pedal fully depressed - pedal moves one inch up before resistance is felt. This ensures that the clutch fully engages and disengages. Kudos for finding the adjustment procedure.
-
pedal depressed - there is pedal movement - free play - between when you start to release the clutch pedal from its fully depressed position until it makes contact with the clutch. Same Same when fully released - the pedal moves some before contacting the clutch assembly.
-
Correct. Vehicle is insured. Covers any and all drivers - in the agreed age group if so desired, so long as they have a valid drivers license to operate that vehicle. Some companies do have a no claims bonus - which I do not know.
-
One inch is fine. Just as long as the clutch is fully engaged and the pedal has free play when released, and the clutch is fully released and the pedal has free play when depressed. Where it engages or disengages is up to you with this caveat.
-
Adjustments can only be done to clutch pedals that have a cable connection to the pedal.
If it's connected hydraulically with master and slave cylinders then all that can be done is oil
replacement and a bleed out of air.
This is why i suggested previously, if your car has a hydraulic system for connection then it
would be a good idea to do, this mainly due to it's age and mileage.
The linkage which connects the clutch pedal to the clutch master cylinder can be adjusted. Had a new pressure plate, clutch disc, and throwout bearing installed. Clutch pedal had no free play when released at all. There is a threaded rod, with two jam nuts, under the dash where you can set where in the pedal travel the rod entering the master cylinder starts to move. This will ensure that you have 100% release when the pedal is out, and 100% disengagement when the pedal is depressed.

Roosters are my alarm clock. Let's ban them too. Thailand is a noisy place, as are most places these days. Birthday parties, weddings, funerals, kids being born. All bring on the noise. Either buy 20 Rai and build a house right in the middle of it or get used to it. Don't like it ... Fine. Whine to all and Sundry ... not so much.

My bad. A handful of ally 427 engines for the COPO Camaros.... how on earth did I ever overlook them.
Seems to be your posting style. Happened before. Jump in with both feet and then smile with a pair of shoes coming out of your mouth.

Chev never made an ally big block. it is a World Products Merlin III Aluminum Block. Which is compatible with all GM Gen IV BBC components.
Google ZL1 1969 - and never say never

Nice one Sheryl - to include your one satangs worth to the posters who doubted that you, the owner of the car, does not know what a tach is. Or does that coin live on the dash ! ?

Been around cars all my life, so know what to look for. Flood damage - easy to spot. Serious accidents - same. Service and mileage - little more difficult. But look at the pads on the throttle and brake (clutch if equipped) If they show signs of serious wear and the odo says 80,000 km - run away. As far as service goes, if the previous owner fixed the little things, chances are he fixed the large ones too. Both our cars were one owner cars when we bought them - a good thing to look for. Blue book tells all.
-
Bit off Topic - buy 99% of my cars and trucks second hand. Use the following, seems to work. Decide on a make and model. Decide what you will pay - low end to high end as cars are different, with mileage and condition. Call the dealers, look at the cars. Find one you like - make an offer. If no wiggle room, walk. Go to dealer #2 ... When buying our Teana we found most in BKK. Got a central hotel room, started calling dealers. The very first one came to pick us up in the car, took it for a test drive, made an offer. Refused. Bye-Bye. Spent 2 more days doing the same with different dealers. Day #3 the first dealer called back, said he would accept. Stand Your Ground. Many cars for sale. Do not be in a hurry.

How often do you have to top up the water ? If weekly and no signs of leakage around the engine, or hoses, or radiator, might be a head gasket starting to go. The water will seep from the coolant passages in the block and/or head, go into the cylinder or cylinders, and be burnt with the fuel. A leak down test will determine if it is leaking, and from where. But from your prior posts, from the back of beyond, finding someone who can do this may be a problem. Look Ma - no clue - sorry.

Honestly the police stop and fine was more an illegal shakedown, the official Thai noise levels for motorcycles is 95 dB(A) at halve the throttle… What’s more noise than most professional motocross bikes…
I had a 250cc Lifan single-cylinder engine that produced without an exhaust system 89 dB(A) at halve the throttle….
One of the few coherent replies in this thread. Most of the rest just Rants and Prejudice. Got many fines of 1000 baht when I lived in Jomtien. They never looked at the pipes, or asked for a drivers license, copy of green book, shoe size or anything else. Just asked for the money. To all the posters who have let Drivel be the driver of their keyboard, Let those Who Ride Decide.

I adhere to CYA - Home country license, IDP, Thai. Cover all the bases, not expensive, not hard. Debate, Argue, Plead all you want. CYA.

If it was me - I would check with the dealer. Find out who they purchased the policy from. Visit them and make sure that you are covered. Be a shame to wreck a brand new car and be told "Sorry, we had not processed your policy yet, so it does not exist" Another reason I buy my own - walk out the door with the paperwork. And a Receipt.

In a village North of Mae Joe the word is that burning can result in a 5,000 Baht fine. That seems to have been an effective deterrent around there and the rule was thought to be for most/all of CM.
Came around our village and said 10,000 if they catch you. Maybe 6 weeks ago ?

There is no starter motor, the idle stop is part of the alternator.
Feed electricity in and it spins, spin it and electricity comes out.
On the contrary - one device does two things. Of course it has a starter motor, and an alternator. Both combined. What starts the bike when you turn the key on and hit the button if not a starter motor ?

Buying a Big Bike, whose current owner has it on finance?
in Motorcycles in Thailand

Always bought bikes new, but this is how it worked for our cars. Original buyer goes to the finance company for the money to buy the car. First name in the Blue book is the bank. Pay off the loan in full. Buyers name is the second name in blue book. We bought both cars from the original owner. Our name is the third name in Blue Book.
