See my previous post about disc brakes vs drum brakes. And maybe you could explain why more expensive and more high power scooters/motorbikes have disc breaks front and back, if you truly consider them not having any advantage apart from the looks?
If a drum brake can lock the rear wheel, how is a more powerful brake going to do you any good. Sure - I will give you the long downhill descent thing, where a disc will dissipate heat better, but if brakes are used properly, drum brake is perfectly adequate in the same situation.
Why do newer bikes have them - style.
Link below is AP Honda Thailand. Click the arrow left or right side to change bike models. No SH

Why the fixation with a rear disc brake? Properly set up drums can work just as well.
Every bike I owned would lock up the rear wheel if applied hard. No advantage to a disc - well, maybe looks.
And I don't think the SH is still being sold in Thailand. Not on the AP Honda website.

Can not read Thai. Checked out many pages. looking for a google map, or coordinates I can input into maps

Thanks to all for your recommendations. Will check out the ones I can find here, and the rest in the West

Good. Utterly pointless having a bloody great V8 in a 1 tonne truck.
Been a horsepower junkie all my life. No such thing as too much - rather like having too much fun, or laughing too much. Never gonna happen.
Here's something to ponder. Africa. 50kg guide for big game hunters. Carried a 600 nitro Express. Client asked him why he carries such a big rifle. Answer - they don't make a 700

Wow ! What an Idea ! Now just have to find a dealer next year and see if it fits my head. thanks

Ride my HD all over the North. While a trifle large for roads like CNX-Pai-Mae Hong Son and Nan area. Those roads benefit from a smaller, lighter, more nimble bike. But, when riding to Singapore, over miles and miles of Superslab, there is no replacement for displacement. On that note I bought a second bike for the North.

You will need to install a resistor to run the LED lights. You can not just tap into the incandescent wiring and expect them to work. Google will explain.

Think I would fit the 265's as they are 70 profile.
Sorry, again I don't understand (remember you are speaking to a noob). What do you mean by saying they are 70 profile, and why is that important?
Sophon
265/70R18 - 265 is tire width in mm. 70 is the aspect ratio - the percentage of a tires sidewall height to its tread width, in this case 70% i or 185.5mm R means radial and 18 is the rim size. You may also see additional letters after these, relating to speed rating, if all season, winter, etc

Tight on Money--Rebuild...Have money to spare? Buy New Shocks..There not that expensive New
Why replace ? The only wear parts are the seals and the springs. Change them, and if required put in a higher viscosity oil for more damping.

You seem to miss the point that whoever gets the blame your insurance will cough up the money and you get it repaired.
What's the point of insurance if you have to pay yourself for an accident?
They way the Insurance company works is you will pay, your deductible, loss of your Safe Driver Bonus, and an increase in premiums. Agreed that if a big ticket repair then Ok to have, but a 20 or 30k claim will cost you in the long run.

Back into your driveway. Compare the size of your windshield to the size of the rear view mirrors. More safe, more easy.

I bought a set of Deestone for mine. Cheap, wear good, made in Thailand. For your style of driving they should be fine. I find that after about 3 years they need to be replaced anyway - hot weather makes the rubber hard, and bulges start to appear. I also do not travel at an excessive speed. If I did - top quality tires are the way to go.

Missed the P10B - this is to increase or decrease the amount of LPG delivered - kind of a fine tuning adjustment. When you step on the throttle and the car hesitates more than on gasoline, give a small increase, maybe 90 degrees. Re-test until performance comparable to being run on gasoline. And is a good idea to drive with gasoline on periodically. I do mine about a 1/4 tank every 2 weeks or so. Keeps the fuel injectors functioning properly. Gasahol, being hygroscopic, will pull water right out of the air. This in time will settle into the bottom of the fuel tank unless a phase separation chemical is added to keep the water in suspension, allowing it to be pumped thru the system and burned during combustion.

TPS / MAF, sorry, but I don't know these terms (yet).
TPS - throttle position sensor. MAF - mass airflow sensor. Possible your vehicle has a MAP instead - manifold absolute pressure, but they have gone the way of the Dodo so doubt that.
re: taxi's get serviced ... I go to a dedicated shop that does LPG/CNG installations. Very busy, very popular.

Or the dealer location of said bikes in Chiang Mai. Thanks.
The only dealer I know of is on the road between the Ping River and Superhighway, East side of the street. Has some of the Platinum trikes for sale outside, closer to highway 11 than the river. same street that turns into the 1006 Road to San Kamphaeng. Cross the Iron bridge, turn left, and past the Dukes turn right at the lights. Last time I visited, to check out the 250cc Enduro, he had one model left, in bright orange and black. Owner speaks reasonable English, but I did not ask about a manual - was looking for a Super Motard style bike. He did say that he would exchange the knobbies for street tires and sell for the same price tho'. 60K if I remember.

Q02 - Blue circle I believe TPS. Red circle may be MAF
Q04 - Thai call this the boiler. Allows liquid LPG to change to a gas. The small hoses carry coolant to and from this unit to heat the LPG and prevent freezing. They say replace after 5 years - but the shop I use for mine says - 'If it does not leak, why change it ?' Can't argue. New one about 3600 baht if memory serves.
Q05 - cheap. Replace yearly.
Q13 - throttle body.
Where are you located ? Might help for people to steer you to a good shop.

We have heard many comments from the anti's - let's hear from owners of these bikes. How long, any problems, solutions to said, would I do it again ...
Met a group today - young Thai guys and girls, Keeway most popular brand. Stopped to talk, with the wife to handle the Thai parts I have trouble with. One girl spoke English well, asked what the others had problems with, how was the dealership at fixing those problems. Answer - we do our own work, club members helping each other. Spares at times difficult and time consuming to arrive. All in all they were a happy bunch, and having a lot of fun passing all the cars up the mountains.

When I was a kid our neighbor had a 1969 Vette, 427 cu in, and a flat bottom V-Drive boat with a 427. Vette had a mural paint job which flowed front to back and continued onto the boat. Beautiful.
He used to show up at the lake at sunrise, water like glass, fire up that sucker and him and his buddy would go water skiing. Could hear him coming for miles. Water cooled exhaust but no mufflers, pipes pointed straight out the back. Think that was when I was bitten by the Hot Rod bug.
