  1. My guess - first appearance in urban areas where private cars are not allowed. The only place where the ancillary systems can be installed at a reasonable cost - lane delineators, hi accuracy GPS. Think downtown of a large city. Robotic buses and cars. When pedestrians start to cross the street at crosswalks, all traffic halts. Still leaves the weighty problem of jay walkers, dogs, wackos, all so random that no computer system can be programmed for all eventual scenarios. Still a long way off IMO

  2. You need to at least say "not may fault" so there's an open case to hand over to your insurance agent smile.png

Agreed. As this is a USA based video, was posted to let people know to say the bare minimum. Show DL, insurance, Tax, say ' Not my Fault ' and not a thing more until Insurance gets there. No 'He Said, She said ' No disucssion at all. Don't hang yourself with your own rope kind of thing.

  3. As plugs here are only 120 baht and labour to fit is OK. i would not buy "special" LPG plugs and simply change the plugs everytime i change the oil!

I change yearly - or close to. Want to try the LPG plugs to see if they last longer. Marketing says yes, but I want to check for myself. And I change myself - Steel plug in Aluminum head - got to be careful. Apply NeverSeez and torque.

  4. Never been much of an experimenter in this regard, excepting my days of running bikes with surface gap plugs. Went shopping yesterday for some LPG1 plugs. No Stock. Asked for regular nickel electrode BKR6E. My go-to guy only had 5's but said try these. BKR6EGP

Stuffed them in this AM. 2001 NV Wingroad - our cruise in town car. Amazing difference on gasoline and LPG. Idle more smooth, acceleration improved. Totally satisfied. 120 baht each. My nickel days are over. Will source LPG plugs when back across the Big Water.

  5. A better - and safer - way to go is to use a relay. Then the switch does not need to be of a high amp rating, as all it is doing is turning the relay - which is in effect a remote switch - on and off. Hot wire to Relay, small wires to and from switch, hot wire from relay to headlight. If you want to get fancy, wire the relay switch to an oil pressure switch. Then when the bike starts and oil pressure rises, the headlight will come one. The reverse when you stop the engine.

  6. CRF only Reply - We are not hearing these kinds of reports in numbers. We've read some of them online but nothing that would indicate this is a general issue with this motor. Keep in mind this is the same motor that is in the CBR250R and so it is tried and tested for long miles. Seems not to be any issue over the Pond. Are those bikes built here, or if built elsewhere are the parts being used from the same supplier ?

  7. You will have no luck getting it registered in Thailand. Altho people keep the Khmer registration, and leave every 6 months and re-import as you stated. How long this will be tolerated ? Who knows. There was a KTM690 for sale late last year in this situation, owner even offered to fly to Phnom Penh and change the registration into the buyers name. BUT - if the Thai authorities see you doing this with regularity, and take a shine to your ride, you will lose it. And getting insurance in Thailand for a Cambodian registered bike - doubtful.

  8. Jota - nice bike ! OK, Richards news makes me feel better, no biggy to RandR a cam chain.Done them before where they say dismantle half the engine, but used a piece of Stainless Steel wire with a hook on the end , feed it around the crank, and - if you are careful, you can fish the new chain around with the old one. Drop it and you Split it tho'! Will keep a close eye on it - or ear on it - if I buy the Honda. Talked to the Benelli guys here re: is the Super Motard coming ? Standard answer. I Live in Hope.

  9. What a complete waste of time, just buy fresh when required????

Had my HD in a steel crate for over 6-1/2 years. Outside. Removed from crate, drained old gasahol, installed Fresh, hooked up new battery, Fired right up. No Gum, No Varnish, No Rust. Steel fuel tank. Float bowl looked like new. Try that without using Stabil - or other generic brands.

  10. I looked for years for StaBil - or an eastern alternative. No luck. Now it arrives in my suitcase, double vacuum wrapped. Never a problem.

I am curious?? what do you use it for?

Ensuring gas does not go stale. Also use Max 44 (green bottle) to prevent phase separation in alcohol blended fuels.
