Fake news: Nine people arrested by AFNC
While they were out arresting people did they by any chance catch that eccentric guy who pretends to be a James Bond villain pretending to be a senor government official? Right...the one who, a few months ago tried to dupe the public by intentionally spreading the 'fake news' that the virus was “100% under control”.

No surprise here. Why would a rigid, autocratic, power-obsessed military regime...always in the market for 'swift solutions'...let go of a perfectly good and extremely useful emergency?

Brings back memories of my '68 BSA 441 Victor Special. Another classic ankle breaker, and starting it was much easier if you had a hill handy. But a fun ride...in spite of the pain.

This Covid-19 (aka Wuhan Flu) emergency decree is certainly becoming a wonderful new tool to persecute/prosecute enemies of the government...all in the grand, noble, altruistic name of public health.
"Yes, we had to kidnap and murder him....but it was because he was a criminal who failed to love Uncle. By the way, if you object to this we'll have to quarantine you in an unmarked grave...to protect public health."
Stand by for some bizarre, convoluted excuse to make this a permanent fixture of military rule.

But first they're being given time to raise enough money to bribe the provincial chief of police. Then he will have a valid reason to ignore the whole thing...without violating police core values.

The police have apparently been so busy punishing the naughty schoolgirls...that they haven't had time to sort the drugs for resale.

That’s not entirely fair. Remember…there are also thousands of over-worked and under-paid generals who are sorely in need of a cash infusion. The important thing to bear in mind is that this money will be going to the right people…important people…people who matter.

There's no need to worry. The 100% truthful, honest, pure-of-heart, and corruption-free PM has already affirmed that "clear guidelines" will be observed in spending this money. What more could anyone possibly ask for than..."clear guidelines?

These clear guidelines will be strictly enforced....once the 35% allocated to the general and his friends has been deducted and distributed according to standard operating procedures.

Hmm...war rooms...kind of catchy. It seems I've seen that term used recently in another country. Aw, that can't be, it must be a 'misunderstanding'....what country with a ounce of self respect could possibly be slavishly parroting and sucking up to the Chinese?

What an unspeakably horrific experience. Those Americans are truly a loathsome and despicable group of savages…every last one of them. Positively appalling that these degenerates are allowed to intrude upon polite society with such frightful impunity.
But the stern talking-to you gave this debauched and decadent cad has no doubt taught him a compelling lesson about foolishly trifling with proper and respectable people. He'll surely know better than to try his vile and reprehensible tricks again. Well done...these rascals deserve no mercy whatsoever.
At least over these past few difficult months you’ve been able to begin the long road to recovery from this dreadful nightmare. Congratulations and best of luck for continued success.

Frankenstein's monster's brain comes to mind.
Absolutely correct. The Huawei CEO is flat out lying. Furthermore...the CEO doesn't have any choice in the matter. Huawei is obligated by Chinese law to share everything with the Chinese government and to act as an agent of Chinese Intelligence. This cooperation is legally mandated in the National Intelligence Law of the P.R.C. (2017).

Article 7: All organizations and citizens shall support, assist, and cooperate with national intelligence efforts in accordance with law, and shall protect national intelligence work secrets they are aware of.

The primary goal of this ‘government’ is, and always has been, the continuation of military rule. This is paramount and takes precedence over everything else.
Maintaining a state of emergency (a sort of martial law lite) is a good way to emphasize rule by decree, establish new means of control and further institutionalize military authority.
They probably would like to to extend the 'emergency' indefinitely....if they can figure out a way to do it while keeping their income stream intact.
