  1. It's money that you can spend on anything school related (uniform or stationary). And no, high society schools, like mine, get it too.
  2. Our school does. They handle everything. Parents just have to hand the receipts in. My previous school just kept the money. Parents didn't even know there was money from the government available. Old head teacher got fired for it. Then, the boss who fired him started doing the same thing, ironically. Parents never saw any money. Not a shred of integrity to be found in most of this country.
  3. The government actually gives the money out for this to all schools, but some schools just keep the money.
  4. What happened to them thinking about making it stricter? Weren't they going to tax all income even if it wasn't remitted? Lol Absolute 🤡s
  5. Most are cash poor, but have a fair bit in land.
  6. Yeah, but you know they let their dog(s) run out the property to be aggressive to any person walking by, snapping at their heels. But as soon as something happens to their dog, they want reparations.
  7. Handbags at dawn. Thai men really can't fight, unless in groups or with a weapon.
  8. That's why they proudly have the 2nd most dangerous roads on Earth. 👏 👏
  9. He'd probably end up an illegal immigration sooner or later. And how the hell would he do his 90 day report?
  10. Exactly, it's a convenience store, notva supermarket. What's your point?
  11. So? Makro is good value, better than Tesco. You'd think they'd drive the prices up on both of them if they had a monopoly. What's wrong with 7eleven? Their prices don't even seem to keep up with inflation. They are hardly ripping us off
  12. So? Who cares? Ever heard of freedom of speech? It's impossible to not offend people these days. So many woke, snowflakes looking around for things to be offended by
  13. Surely, Thailand has enough different supermarkets, no? Lotus's Big C Makro Villa Foodland Tops MaxValu GourmetMarket Rimping FreshMart Any more? Hardly a monopoly. Thailand also has so many fresh markets to choose from too (for food) and there's always 7eleven, Lawson, and Jiffy for your toiletries etc. etc. I am just waiting for Costco to enter Thailand. They are already big in Japan, Taiwan, and starting to expand in China.
  14. The point was: some people don't like to see others succeed financially.
  15. Good, they invest their money, they get richer. They deserve their returns. The key is to invest in businesses with pricing power. I imagine the bars are suffering; no pricing power in beer. The poor get into debt to look richer.
  16. Not at all. It isn't even news; it's just something for the knuckle-dragging heathens to whine about.
  17. Yeah, here's a real life example. Just spoke to my EX. She was complaining that she only made 1500 yesterday for a day's massage work. And that was without any tips (as she is now working in a Thai residential area and she says they don't tip.) Her new farang BF won't let her massage down Sukhumvit anymore cos he knows what goes on 😏 Still though: 1500 a day for a person with few qualifications (sure, it's hard labor if all the customers want strong massages, but still..) If she gets that 6 days a week, you tell me how much she'd make at the end of the month. I'll wait........ .....but I can tell you she easily clears 25k a month and this is without tips, remember.
  18. I think Thais say "som nam na" 😄 👏 👏 Can't think of the reason for keeping the deposit. The place looks in good condition (minus the writing on the walls). And I don't see how the vandalism to the walls could cost 350k to fix, probably a 10th of that. The security deposit would likely cover it. I think the owner calculated the damage with a multiple of 10 for farang price. Maybe they don't know there is a national effort underway to end dual pricing. 😄 Farang 1 Swindler 0
  19. Sea Life got me the other day! Took my (Thai) daughter and her friend. Last time I went I booked the tickets there in person showing my driver license and got the Thai price, but this time my daughter's friend booked her ticket online so we did the same When booking online I thought there would be a dual price option. There wasn't. I was pleasantly surprised. I bought the tickets (I couldn't remember the Thai price I paid years ago) and they were a bit pricey. Anyway, whatever.. Then, my daughter's friend told us what she paid online: it was half price. I thought "I wonder what happens if I change the language to Thai on Sea Life's website?" 🤔 Well, of course, different prices appear if you go through the website in Thai language. Their sneakiness is truly applaudable. 👏
  20. Disrespect.......to say the least. It should be criminal! They are absolutely, abhorrent, stinky, slimy, little <deleted>s. I haven't seen much trace of respect here to be honest. It's not a place for that.
  21. It'll never change; it's in their DNA, I think. 💩
  22. I honestly think it's always been full of lowlives. That's why it has attracted such tourists.
