What about the discrepancy in visa options and benefits? I would actually like to demand that the UK impose 1 year non-immigrant visas for all foreigners and not have asylum as an option. No NHS, unless they work and pay NI, and no unemployment benefit or pension either, unless they become British, which shouldn't be so easy. Then, they can "not integrate" and I'd be happy.

If you get permanent residency, that's different, you should fully integrate. Haha, love this response. Thais do have their own charm, but above all else they're Thai. I think they like to call it "Thainess." Kinda fun, dumb, clever, cunning, and cute all at the same time, while being absolutely unabashedly sinful and utterly beneath reprehensibility. Quite sure most other Asians are the similar, but the Filipinos, Burmese, and Indonesians that I've met are more global minded and relatable. You can actually have a conversation with them on broad topics.
