  1. 1. The locals have zero respect for other citizens (cut throat driving, scamming, business practices, etc etc). 2. The pollution and ruining the environment. 3. The low quality food n drink. 4. The casual racism. 5. I actually can't think of any others right now. It must be a good day.
  2. I dunno. I think the woke people have never truly travelled or experienced the world. They come across as painfully naive. I'd prescribe them with a few years of living in Asia to cure their wokeness.
  3. Too much exposure to the rest of the world can make people racist too.
  4. Can anyone go to get a certificate for any reason? Or does it have to be for a Thai school job or foreign embassy etc etc?
  5. Hello As I understand it, we can't just go to get a police clearance certificate by ourselves. Our Thai employer must do it, right? However, I know there are agencies that can help with it if you need a certificate anyway. Anyone got any experience, advice, or recommendations on this? Thanks
  6. I find if you don't reply to their Line message, they start acting crazy and immature within an hour or so. Then, you say, "Bye"????
  7. Tolerance and acceptance, you say? What's wrong with this article, again? Hmmm
  8. No, it isn't. If a case doesn't get media attention - that's a fact. If a case doesn't get dropped - that's a fact.
  9. Well, I've read and heard plenty of racist and discriminatory things about my own race, religion, and gender. And as much as it displeases me, I think their freedom of speech is more important than my feelings.
  10. Yes, but think of all the cases that don't get widespread media attention and therefore charges don't get dropped. Being arrested for speech is absurd enough in every case and it shouldn't happen. Yeah, the problem with the UK's offensive speech laws and America's hate speech laws is that they are subjective, meaning that you are arrested -- not because of what you said (objectively) because they are just words-- but because of someone's opinion of what you said, their interpretation of your words, and whether or not they became offended.....which is absolutely ludicrous because it's so easy to exploit this law and basically arrest someone based on their feelings and opinions rather than objective facts.
  11. They have laws that are used to take away freedom of speech. It doesn't just have to be racist either, it can be anything considered offensive.
  12. They have laws against saying "offensive things" which is so vague that a young man was arrested in the UK for calling a police horse gay. And the charges were only dropped because of the public attention it had gotten for being so ridiculous. There's no freedom of speech with these kind of laws. These laws are more dangerous than anything a person could say.
  13. She was setting up balls in a pool bar when I met her. Now she's playing with a different kind of balls for a living. And I'm a free man!
  14. Me, "This chocolate is 2 years out of date, mate." Del Boy, "Why do you think it's on special?? Chocolate doesn't really go out of date anyway." ????????????
  15. That sounds about right. Can't say anything without being called racist or antisemitic. Straight out the Left's playbook for taking away freedom of speech.
  16. Honestly, I don't. May come as a surprise to you, but: I actually have a life. And none of these people sound, even remotely, famous.
