  6. Photo via Matichon A jealous Thai man yesterday attacked a woman at a noodle shop in the northern province of Kampaeng Phet after she became embroiled in a bizarre love triangle with the man’s boyfriend. The jealous man accused the woman of having an affair with his boyfriend. The victim said the man was her boyfriend while the boyfriend claimed the gay man was only a customer of his. The moment of the attack was captured in a video which quickly circulated on Thai social media. The footage depicted the man slapping and pulling the woman’s hair. Fortunately, nearby vendors and witnesses intervened, separating the two individuals. The characters involved in this odd love triangle included 25 year old Nopparuj, also known as Game, 21 year old Janejira, also known as Fah, and another man identified as 22 year old Ittiphon, also known as Wave. Game spoke to Matichon about the incident, claiming that Fah was Wave’s ex-girlfriend. On the day of the attack, Game saw Fah staring at him while at the noodle shop, and in a fit of anger, he rushed over and attacked her. Although he acknowledged the video depicted him assaulting Fah, he insisted that she had actually started the altercation. Later, Fah spoke to the media and gave her an account of the events, stating that she and Wave were in a relationship, and Wave had informed her that Game was just a friend. On the day of the attack, Game had approached her and accused her of staring at him, prompting her to request that he stop interfering with her relationship. This led to a physical altercation between her and Game. 8. A two-metre-long python slithered into the popular Emerald Pool in Krabi province in southern Thailand on Tuesday, sending panicked tourists clambering in all directions. In a chaotic TikTok clip, tourists scream as one brave swimmer splashes water at the python on the poolside in an attempt to drive it away. But yesterday was a hot day. The python wanted to cool off too. Screams erupted again when the snake slithered into the water sending both Thai and foreign tourists fleeing in all directions in a rush to get out of the pool. Pythons might not be venomous snakes but have a strong bite and can do significant damage based on size alone. No one can swim peacefully knowing a python is lurking below and could bite their toe at any second. 10. Photos via KhaoSod Against all odds, six siblings in Thailand were reunited with their 86 year old mother today who went missing from their family home over 30 years ago. For the past 18 years, monks and villagers were taking care of her at a temple in Prachin Buri province. Khamthep Iammalai, the former abbot of Wat Mai Saraburi in Kabin Buri district, explained that he found now-86 year old Puan Dumsamang sitting in a gazebo near the temple way back in 2005, reports KhaoSod. No one knows where she was before that. The former abbot said that he had no luck in finding Puan’s relatives, so they took care of Puan at the temple for the past 18 years. He said that Puan doesn’t speak to anyone, especially strangers. Recently, the temple published pictures of Puan in the media in a renewed effort to find her family. One of Puan’s children who lives in Nakhon Pathom province in central Thailand, 30 year old Kanyarat Rodkrathuk, saw her mother’s photo in the news and couldn’t believe it. She travelled to the temple to find her mother was really there. The village chief and former abbot asked Kanyarat to return to the temple with all of her siblings and asked them to bring documents to confirm their identity so they could take her home. This morning, the six siblings went to Wat Mai Saraburi and burst into tears as they embraced their mother after searching for her for 30 years all over Thailand. 14. Photo via The Phuket News. After heavy rainfall, around 130 kilogrammes of fish were found dead at Phuket‘s Nai Harn Lake in Rawai. Fisheries officials inspected the lake earlier this week after receiving reports of many fish found dead. Upon inspection, it was discovered that heavy rain had washed dirt and sediment into the lake, polluting the water and reducing the available oxygen, Phuket Fisheries Chief Sittiphon Mueangsong told The Phuket Express. The overall weather in Phuket has also been sweltering hot, causing the temperature in the lake to immediately change. These factors resulted in a substantial fish kill, according to Sittiphon. Rawai Mayor Aroon Salas told The Phuket News that the water’s pH level had changed dramatically. The heavy rains resulted in a large influx of freshwater into the lake, which is usually brackish due to the small channel across Nai Harn Lake that connects the lake to the sea.
