  1. what will the house be for? sounds like a weekend home have you considered just building cheaper? seeing as you got 1.25m that should be plenty
  2. you want an "on-grid" solar inverter the inverter takes care of switching between power sources you can also choose to feed power back to the grid or not with most inverters (not, in your case) as not your property and speaking in terms of savings you can skip the battery saving you money and just have the solar during daylight hours batteries are expensive, you also have to oversize the battery if you want it to last longer
  3. import taxes are what they are, especially for what TH deems as "luxury items" i expect amazon has them roughly correct 99.9% of the time however it is unkown if amazon also sneeks in some admin fee with that i have ordered items individually to avoid import taxes (deposit) as it worked out $15 cheaper in total as individually there was no import fee, but combined, the total was over 1500 baht so import fee on all items so answer to your question is YES however most of the time i use amazon the item is above 1500 baht anyway thankfully amazon shows you the import fees before you checkout so no nasty surprises
  4. grab drivers........taxi's..........????‍♂️

  10. beep, beep, beep get away from the road kids before you have an accident.......????‍♂️
  11. none of it is imported????‍♂️ that would be just dumb, when its available locally legally. expensive doesnt mean better. Blow is double the price of others lots of quality available on social media and in BKK They just aiming biz at tourists
  12. this is just the wholesalers in china town i was turned away from 3 shops once because i only had 1m to spend.....????‍♂️
  13. thats not the place with bean bags called Blow which is expensive just a few meters away on the corner candyland above has now got very poor quality products it is not the same as they had a couple weeks prior first time was nice stuff 2nd time was all loose full of seeds and not strong at all, just poor.
  14. is it possible to fly an F-35 with a honda click engine........? Thailand......"hold my beer"
  15. yes, they were laying these submarine fibre cables nearly 40 years ago my teacher gave us a class on them as her husband was working laying them
  16. i have seen a lot of people recently installing small on grid systems without power storage/battery (huawei pushing a lot of these inverters/systems atm) just to cover running aircons etc in daytime the savings are likely more substantial this way when not looking to fully replace grid power especially if you use the most power during sunlight hours
  17. Lucky you, was that very recently? take note of the word "upto" from initial order to delivery, i will quote total time when they arrive for the 3 batts it was nearly 3 weeks after i paid deposit, i paid remaining balance then a week delay, so 1 month already before they were even shipped single inverter may be ready in stock to ship. it can also be sent by AIR or SAL these batts are 159KG EACH lots of delays on sea freight atm some will get lucky, others wont my reply was not an optimistic one but a realistic timeframe a buyer should expect due to current conditions i did not state it would take at least 3 months but upto 3 months is possible at present
  18. 1. Apperently none (LOL was my response too, but will see, shipping agent said included in the $300 shipping) 2. dont expect it to be quick, you are realisticly looking at upto 3 months atm, will update when they arrive 3. i purchased Felicity. i seen the older model on lazada from 2 sellers, only 1 seller had stock but was expensive at 100k each Felicity sell everything, so you could get inverters etc from them too https://www.felicitysolar.com/lithium-battery-system_c1
  19. you can withhold bonuses and any extras etc. to be paid later they break contract, they lose money.
  20. i just bought 3 x 48v Growatt inverters at 32k baht each also paid just over $5k for 3 x 15kwh batteries (48v x 300ah) from China the selection of batteries currently here is very limited so had to order direct from China cost is about 2/3 of the price buying local, if you can find finding the batteries was the headache part TBH not bought panels yet Ni-Fe batteries cost a bit more but save you in the long run, not sold locally afaik your estimates are about right although you can get 5kwh inverters from 15k baht seeing as you are going on grid have you considered no batteries ? or a small battery just to tie you over till 10pm, and for morning before sun comes up (10pm to 9am is off peak hours, half price) all depends what time you use power the most
  21. lots of info above i will state the obvious as far as calculating costs go it is impossible to predict the cost of electricity in 5-10 years time fiat currencies are losing value quicker than ever it may be better to spend money now rather than later if you buy Ni-Fe batteries you will save even more as they last 50 years
  22. they break the contract, you don't pay them......duh as you are no longer legally oblidged too i bet you think work manuals are a waste of time also LOL who is talking about putting anyone in jail get a life ????‍♂️
  23. contracts.........????‍♂️ everything you want for every scenario should be in the employment contract you get them to sign when they start...
  24. if the rules permit it, then it is not abuse, is it? sounds like he is entering with a "proper" 60 day tourist visa, not 30 day visa exempt stamps also @JoseThailandnot everyone wants to be stuck here all the time, or spend extra funds and time at immigration getting extensions and re-entry stamps i used to do this for marriage visa, simply to have an excuse to go away for a few days when i could have chosen to get a one year extension instead (which i have been forced onto over past 2 years) or extend at end of each entry if i wished and TBH travelling to another country to get a new visa can be less annoying and inconvenient than a day at immigration sometimes.
