My pal got it banging Bar and Massage girls in Chiang Mai.
Diagnosed in the UK last June, died this June after spending almost the entire year in a London hospital.
It's still a killer ... although I keep reading that there is a new cocktail of drugs that removes any trace of it ... although it is still there. Perhaps your friend left his diagnosis too late?

Richard Nixon, in those infamous tapes, referred to the JFK assassination as "the whole Bay of Pigs" thing. You'll find out why in this film, but that part is brief and subtle -- if you blink you'll miss it.
Pesci is good as a low-key mob boss, no psychotic tantrums. Pacino is the best I've seen him do in a long time. A lot of civil conversations where you know, and both characters know, one is bs-ing the other, and you're trying to figure if it's going to end peacefully or one is suddenly going to blow away the other, that is the real suspense in this one.
I noticed that a few characters that appeared in the movie JFK show up here. The De Niro character trucks weapons to a guy referred to as a “fairy”, and in JFK that guy was played by Joe Pesci. An interesting twist.

A great cast and director, but unfortunately a totally overrated movie ... not worthy of an Oscar.

I now drive as if Miss Daisy’s in the back, many of these types of accidents are down to speed ... although it’s taken me a while to appreciate that. A sad loss of life.

But they are still not very popular so how come so many people voted to keep them in power? Or did they, I still don't know how the seats ere allocated do you? The whole democracy process here seems to change as you go along to get the right outcome. The people got what they deserved maybe and hopefully the lesson will be learned for next time, maybe. life go on just not as well as it might or how you thought eh.
The election result must be correct ... many soldiers were involved in the counting?

Are you going to walk about $26,000 US into Thailand? I'd probably wire transfer also ... I'd be afraid they'd confiscate it and I'd have to go through the rigmarole of proving it's source and authenticity. Good luck whatever you do. Bring some documentary evidence of where it came from.

It all looks pretty draconian. I could understand it if the lady was visiting the UK on her own as a tourist, but with an engagement and a sponsor with whom she will be staying you would think this would be straightforward.
Did they know that she is engaged to be married to a UK citizen, the son of the sponsor?

Almost every time I read a story about a Brit who finds himself in trouble in Thailand the feedback is that the British Embassy will do nothing for them?
What assistance do they provide, what is the limit?

I’ve always felt safe in Thailand, but I keep a low profile, I’m never drunk, and I’m generally pleasant with people. It reduces the risk of getting in trouble, but never completely eliminates it. Trouble can arise in any country.

It’s a generalisation but will certainly be true for many people. But it also applies to my home country ... you’ll find people like that everywhere.

To the man with a hammer every problem looks like a nail ... a military guy thinks that "conscription" is the solution to a country whose borders are surrounded by ... friendly neighbours?
It makes sense for Israel and South Korea ... but not Thailand.

I think people put too much emphasis on being "happy" all of the time, as we're human beings not robots ... it's simply not our natural permanent state. As long as I'm fit and healthy and engaged in doing things that I enjoy I can't ask for anything more. If I ever go through a difficult time or stressful situation (and we all do) I think about all of the other people out there who are facing horrendous challenges or the several "kids" I knew from school who lost their lives at a young age ... it puts things in perspective.

Vaping flavoured nicotine using an established brand is significantly less harmful than smoking cigarettes, and is a good method for a smoker to move away from cigarettes.

Why not invest in Singapore. They are in a safe environment and there is no witholding tax on dividends, so every dividend goes straight into your account without any deductions.
