Just let everyone die of starvation or depression instead?

Try to find someone professional, like a teacher, Doctor, lawyer. Good luck.

The Spanish Flu pandemic in the early 20th Century caused a wide range of issues in those affected, so Covid-19 is not that different in that sense. After reviewing several post-mortems many of the experts of the day refused to believe that they were dealing with a flu.
An Italian professor recently reported that the virus appears to be less intense and harmful than it was in March ... so let’s hope it just burns itself out.

I recall sitting in a coffee shop in Chiang Mai when a middle aged westerner sat near me with two well dressed Thais, who turned out to be lawyers. It seems that he started a business and took on local partners who cheated him and voted him off the board.
if you don’t need to for financial reasons why bother. The law is designed to screw over foreigners.

Poor old Harry is like someone who has joined a cult, who are isolating him away from his family, friends and any outside influences. One day the berk will wake up to the fact that he’s been used to further the career of a second rate actress, who’ll use California laws to fleece him for alimony after the penny has dropped.

That's right... Pattaya is full of lonely farangs who crave company, which they try to find in bars.
I have a friend there, exactly in this situation, and he is depressed now.
So, I ask him: how is it possible that after so many years in Pattaya you know so few people, and that you constantly need the artificial company provided by the bars?
His answer is that the people he knows (outside the bars) spend most of their time with their families.
Loneliness is a bitch and a bar buddy will never replace a family...
I suspect he’d be lonely wherever he decided to stay, and I’m not so sure that a “family” is the answer either ... given the level of divorce rates ... suggests he may have more chance of a “happy ending” in a Pattaya massage parlour.

I inherited a couple of plants and have managed to keep them flourishing ... I water them as the soil dries, just as stated above, and give them plenty of sunlight. Don’t make the mistake of drowning them.

Travel the world and see the exotic destinations for yourself just once in your life to learn there is more than one place to get some personal treatment from a lovely lass.
I’m not really a whoremonger at heart, so the red light districts of the world don’t appear prominently on my bucket list.

He went to a brown cafe just before he saw those windows, thought he was in Denmark.

Not ground floor, but low enough to escape a fire ... with high balcony to avoid joining the flying club.
On a more serious note I would rent, as a place can change quickly.

You know the girl better than anyone on here. I’d say if you believe she will take it seriously and the cost does not significantly eat into your income then agree to fund the first year, with any further years dependent on passing the exams. So you have a get out clause if she’s not applying herself. But if the funding adds to your economic burden then just explain that you can’t afford it ... sorry. Ultimately she is not your responsibility.

If it was loneliness he’d have tried to <deleted> the car!

Well, some would say we are wasting many hours on this forum. But, at the very least we are not killing each other, or killing our families! And due to my outspoken nature I have been suspended many times from this forum for a week. Did I go into withdrawal? Absolutely not. It was a nice break!
I’ve been suspended too ... an injustice. Why were you chasing fire engines as a youngster? Was that an admission of pyromania?

There are some lines we cross in life, that are essentially a self revocation of the right to consume oxygen. I would say that is the case for this little monster.
Gen Z is a fascinating generation. Some are remarkable. Some are activists, really care about their nation, and their environment, and will eventually lead to major changes here, as they will oust the incredibly toxic army once and for all. Of that I am sure. However, some are incredibly vapid, are really lacking in social skills, and far too dependent on technology. Many do not really have lives, but approximations of a life instead. Fairly empty souls.
Like the lost souls on Thai Visa ... lol.

Wouldn’t it be ironic if Black Lives Matter protests caused more black deaths from Covid-19, as younger protesters bring the virus back into their homes, infecting others.

We’re seeing a resurgence of it in the US in places like Florida and Texas. Given all the protests across the UK and the easing of the lockdown I wouldn’t be surprised to see a resurgence, but as vulnerable people are washing hands, avoiding crowds, and generally taking it seriously the actual impact may be lower ... with each resurgence lower until it eventually fizzles out in 2021.

I prefer hotels that you pay monthly, to deposit seeking landlords, for precisely this reason.
But it does strike me as odd that you have run out of money? If I were being cynical I’d guess you are not paying the final month because you fear he won’t return any deposit, and in which case you’d only be 2,000 out of pocket instead of £7,000?

I sat in a classroom as a 7 year old listening to an old spinster teacher explain that Mary was a Virgin, and that Joseph wasn’t the father? There was something a bit off about that story (as well as the other ones) ... firstly, Joseph never consummated the nuptials, and someone else slipped in in front of him, and he bought the story that it was God!
These are stories. Stories traced back to a time when people believed all sorts of nonsense about how we got here. They never made any sense to me as a youngster, and they make even less sense today.

Alcohol, and plenty of it, will immunise you from the deleterious effects of Covid 19. Worse case scenario is that you die happy.
